Good day to all,I Was recently at a 'mom n pop' store and I ran across a lot of old school PS1 games, I immediately asked for FF7, and it turns out they did have it !

Although all they had of FF7 was Disc 1 and 3 and the Booklet, (all in great condition!), I asked how much and he responded $9 per disc and only $2 for the Booklet! Only $20 in total! I was soooo excited needless to say I was very pleased with this find as the last time I had FF7 was around 1997

Now on to the question, I and some friends were debating whether or not this was a good purchase, I think they just don't understand this is probably the most sought after PS1 game in my opinion.

So what do you think? any feedback is greatly appreciated, on another note he had some complete sets of FF8 and 9 and I think another Booklet for FF7 and another disc 1 or 3 for the same prices, would it be a good idea for me to go back?, do you think it is a good price for 9 and 8 too?

Wow. That's really a good deal, yes. Normally, they sell used FF7 games for over 50 bucks on ebay.

Now, the question is...are all the discs working? You'll have to find out. ;)

Go back and get FFVIII and FFIX for the same price...but you totally got ripped off with FFVII - without diskl two your missing like, half the game =/

Thanks for the reply's, I figure I can find the disc 2 somewhere do you think that is a good deal for FF8 and 9 too?

Oh...wait, so you didn't get disc 2 then?! =/ (I seriously have to read more carefully next time) That sucks. Well if you can simply borrow disc 2 from someone, then it's all good. If not...then you're kinda screwed lol. Disc 3 would be useless...

The purchase would be useless...

Go get disc 2!!

I geuss you right Cloud, I should have haggled the price because it was not complete, a friend of mine has a disc 2 (only) and I said I will buy it from him (if I need to, but I should'nt), now I just want the infamous 'Misprint' Case.

I just looked on Ebay and a complete case of FF7 usually goes for around 40 bucks plus usually aroung 5- 10 bucks shipping so you are paying about 45 to 50 and that is about 15 to 16 bucks a disc !.

I do think it's a good deal, but you better make sure you can find a copy of Disk 2. As said before, without Disk 2, Disk 3 will be useless. I think the booklet was over-priced though. By itself, it's almost worthless. Yet if a game doesn't have a booklet, it can drop almost 50% of it's value...

I dunno, its pretty uselss with out the 2nd disc innit? And what about the case??? My old copy snuffed it recently, so i had a shuffty round ebay and got the original black copy (in superb condion - may i add) for ten pounds. I am extremely fussy with my Final Fantasies - they have to be non platinum with the manuals. I have owned several copies of VII, VIII & IX and are worth their weight in gold but i think you may have got over excited in your purchase there mate

As long as you can get Disc 2 from your friend, or somewhere else for an equal or even cheaper price, you definitely made a good deal. Like everyone else has said, and like you saw for yourself, most of the time VII runs $30-$50 (and in some cases a hell of a lot more) on ebay, so you made a good purchase.

I love it when people respond to threads like this though, with comments like, "You got ripped off, I found a copy in a store near me for only $10!!1" Like you've never ever thought to look in stores around you, and like you decided to ignore a cheap copy sitting right in front of you :monster:

I always want to comment to those people with, "Well go buy me a fucking copy and ship it to me."

Lol… That’s the thing I love about Garage sales or Mom & Pop stores, most of them really have no clue as to worth of certain items.

Anyway, do I think it’s a good price? Sure, it’d be a steal if you were able to get disc two completing the set. Either way, it’s still a pretty good find, especially if you can somehow get a hold of disc 2 for the same price.

Wheres the "Who Cares?" option?
Lol, I guess thats a good deal. I live in the UK, so its roughly round £17.99 second hand here if you can nab a copy.

Wow. That's really a good deal, yes. Normally, they sell used FF7 games for over 50 bucks on ebay.
Yeah, that's how much I payed for mine recently but it was brand new and factory sealed so I didn't really think it was too expensive.

That's a pretty good deal though, you were lucky to get it at that price. I don't like buying second hand games though, I always prefer to buy new. I hope the game works well for you anyway. :)

dude you got jipped. For an incomplete set of FF7 I wouldn't have paid more than $5. My decision is probably biased as I own 2 complete copies of this falabulous game. On a side not you should go back and get the complete sets of FF8 and FF9. These were two great games as well and $20 for each is not a bad deal at all.
