Did X-2 ruin it for you?

I beat FFX and it was one of the best FF games. When X-2 came out I went to get it as soon as possible but it was not worth getting, it ruined the whole FFX sequal for me >_<.

Lets pretend that it's not real.
I played the first 30 minutes from the game to find out that it's just piece of crap!

the battle system wasnt as good but i needed to see tidus and yuna together again

I like X better I have to admit that but X-2 wasn't that bad. I mean I was the king of blitz ball. Blitz ball was the only thing that made me get to the end. I mean Yuyui she had 99 in every stat. The get "Star Player" and you have a great team. But it wasn't worth the $35

>_< FFX 2 was such a waste of time after a hour of playing it i wanted to tear my eyes out i started crying that i spent so much on it and i had been looking forward to it so much. in all FFX2 Was a waste of time and money Damn you square enix you wasted my time on this planet time i will never get back!

If you only played it for an hour, how do you know it wouldnt have gotten better? Plus you could have gotten your money back if you just played an hour of it. Return it ...

I Know that it would not have got better for when i asked my freind if it got better he said no it doesnt get any more exciting. so i didnt play it i didnt think of getting my money back thanks for the advice next time i will.

Yes and no.

Yes it did kinda ruin it when it came to Yuna's character. In my opinion, they did too much of a character change on her, almost a completely different personality.

No, because I did enjoy the gameplay of X-2 and I liked the perfect ending.

I would say no. I didn't mind at all that it took a much more light-hearted approach. While a lot of the settings were the same, much of the mechanics were changed, so I was glad I wasn't just playing FFX all over again (even if it is my favorite of the series). Overall, I thought it was pretty fun, and it was nice to revisit Spira and see what's happened since the end of X.

At first, I too was a little put off by Yuna's radical change, and almost crapped myself when I saw the real Emotion video near the beginning. But, as I got into the feel and direction of the game, it all fit. In fact, I'm glad the change happened, since in the English version of X, Hedy Buress (Yuna) sounded like William Shatner on crack:blink:. Her performance in X-2 was much more smooth and natural.

I liked the story quite a bit, the Shuyin/Lenne thing, the Crimson Squad drama, the LeBlanc Syndicate, everything. I just chose not to take it as seriously as I might for most other games of the series.

At first when i heard about how they where going to make a part 2 to the game i was disapointed. When they game came out I looked at all the reviews n most of them said it's pretty good game. When i bought it I was pretty disapointed, But now i just have mix feeling for it.

The ending for X was fine.
The needed parts were resolved and everything was at peace.

Tidus didn't need to return.

They didn't need a sequel, I didn't enjoy it as much as other FF games but it didn't ruin X.

FFX-2 Did ruin it for me, It had potential to be good, they just tried to add too much crap to it to make it 'fun'.

FFX Did have a good ending, it keeps you thinking, thats why I loved FF7, it kept you thinking long after you completed the game

I'm currently playiny X and the story is developing. I'll decide at the end wether I'll get X-2 or not. I probably will though.

i loved x-2 gameplay I mean... the Dark Knight costume was brilliant with that darkness move. I was indestructible... I have the Crown100% on most of them now. Brilliant gameplay... just story was a tad gay... which I can overlook if the ending gives me Tidus and Yuna together...

Wakka @ ending was priceless...

"Hey, get a room you two!"

*all old ffx characters plus besaid village waving on beach shore*

Never had so many goosebumps in my life hahahaha

Well ff-x and ff x-2 didn´t have much of a connection (except of intros in areas and perfect ending) in my opinion, its a new story with with "look backs" in
ff-x. Three girls fighting monsters with singing and dancing along the way may sound pretty cool, but making sequel requires some more inspiration (again, my opinion). Sure it can be fun for some playing the game and remembering parts of ff-x, but thats about it. Asking yourself "would I make such sequel if I had the chance" is enough for evalueting the game.
For me it didnt ruin the ff x since I never gave nowhere near attention to ff x-2 as I did for the first one..

Lets pretend that it's not real.

See thats what i do, i try to deny its existence ^_^ X had a perfect ending, it should have never been considered for a sequal. As a matter of fact, given that the name of the series is Final Fantasy, and that the games in the series have never been connected, it wouldnt even make sense to make a sequal. Then along came SE and ruined that. Make a good story, give it a perfect ending, leave it the hell alone.

Like, i love IX with a passion, and a sequal would be sooo cool...but then i think to myself, "if they made a sequal, it would be crap" because there is closure in the game. Same goes for VII (humanity dies dammit)...SE, leave the classics alone.
