Most of them are easy to get but there are those few annoying ones like the Added Cut in the Great Glacier, Final Attack from doing the special battles in The Battle Arena, the ones from the materia caves and then Sneak Attack, Magic counter, enemy Away from chocobo racing...anywaaaaay

All Im missing now is Magic counter -__- Stupid chocobo racing, Im having very bad luck atm.... I think this is the first time I have actually tried getting all of them, I probably missed one or two on previous palythroughs (I expect the racing ones :wacky:)
 
Increase you character's luck and never use a gold or black chocobo. They don't let it even be a close win.
I have acquired all of the but I also have played through the game too many times.
But I never mastered all of them.
 
I did get all Materia on my last playthrough. Magic counter can be tricky to get has it his pratically random, you can also bet on Chocobos there is a chance you might get one Magic Counter. I mastered my main materias on the magic pots/movers.
I have Mega-All,Final Atttack, 2x Cut, Flash, Contain, Ultima etc... all mastered, I even have 2 Mimes. I'm also 1 star to master Knights of the Round.
 
Haha dont think Ive even came close to getting them all ever. Il go out my way to get certain materia types like the 2x cut and mime but thats about it really. Is it that hard to get the magic counter?? i remember getting them all the time but just exchanging them for gp instead. :)
 
I FINALLY got it, I swear I must have done about 50 chocobo races just to get that prize, it hardly EVER shows up -__-

At least I can say Ive done it now though, I'l never bother again, that's for sure.... >_>
 
i got them all but it took forever, because originally i didnt even konw the magic for break and freeze and stuff existed, and i had no idea that you got it from the baby white chocobo near mideel.
 
Yeah, I got them all... and maxing them out to make them into a master materia was a real chore. But seeing that happen in game was kinda neat.
 
I've got them all before, aswell as 3 complete Enemy Skill Materia's hehe.

Don't you get given Magic Counter in that bundle you get after winning like 15 Chocobo Races on the trot? I know you get most seemingly impossible prizes from that but it's been toooo looooong.
 
No you don't, I got some rewards from doig 5 consecutive S class races but that's it, I think I did about 20 on the trot, and I sure as hell didint get anything else

If I can remember rightly, I got, chocobraclet, catsbell...uh, precious watch and a couple of other items you win at the races, none of which were MAgic Counter

I had a look round the internets to see if I could get it anywhere else and alot of people seem to think that counter materia in the Northern Cave is magic counter

IT'S NOT. IT'S JUST A COUNTER MATERIA THAT COUNTERS WITH THE ATTACHED MATERIA DAMMIT.....

Im trying to master everything now, spent afew hours in the northern cave last night, oly to die when Id mastered almost all my yellows. I was not amused to say the least, so now I have to do it all again -__-

I'm pretty sure that the Final Attack one is the only one I don't have in my collection. It's not like I've ever tried to go after it and all, it's just that when I fire up my game, it's the last thing on my mind. I'm usually focused on defeating Emerald, or mastering materia, or leveling up my characters to 99.

So yeah, Final Attack is my missing link.
 
I got all the materia but it took freakin forever. Anyways I really do not play VII anymore because I did every single thing in the game but I remember getting all Materia was terribly hard.
 
I have collected all the materia. That is how I mastered all the materia 3 times in the game. It was a bit time consuming to get some of them since you needed a special chocobo or have to fight a certain boss to obtain them but it was worth it in the end.
 
Well, if it wasn't hard... it makes people go "That's it? Damn I feel cheated..."

Never mastered them and i've played through about 3 or 4 times. plan on mastering all of them when i get another PSOne.

I managed to master all the materia on the game. That was a long and real challenge that I overcomed. Like mastering Knights of the Round, took forever. I thought I was going to have a mental breakdown.
