yeah.. what im trying to say how lucky did u get in beating ultimecia?!?!?!

here was how lucky i got

on the 1st form she never used malestrom :D
i also didnt get meltdowned :)
i started ou with a bad team. i survived :D
whenever i did zell limit it was 10 s3c :O
whenever i did squall's limit it was lion heart buahah!!! i was always. "die you sheman whore!!! buahaha" or "poor woman, she will never be not a virgin. DIE!!!"

Freaky. :gasp:

No, I never got lucky. It took me at least ten sodding tries to get that accursed woman down. I'd wouldn't get past her first form, then I'd get up to the second and die. I was stuck at the second one for AGES and I was at level 99, too! But the third form was the most unpredictable. I remember just having Squall and Rinoa left with Zell having taken the fall earlier on. I just managed to beat her with them two alone.

It's the hardest battle in the game for sure.

I've beaten her at least three times and I never really had any trouble with her, tbh. :hmmm:

Griever was probably her hardest form but even that was fairly easy. I just used Auras and spammed limit breaks. :8F:

I wasn't lucky. :jtc: She hit me with Flare, Maelstrom, Meltdown... I was NOT amused. I almost had a fucking heart attack when more and more forms kept popping up to fight me again. I nearly gave up when she cast Double on herself. :gonk: And absorbing people into time to have her wicked way with them. I wanted to scream. -__- I got her eventually, but there was just so much magic to contend with. :sad3: I sometimes still lose to her...

Everyone at lvl 100 with ultimate weapons. Spammed Limits and actually took her down rather quickly. I wish I still had that memory card. Squall would hit 9999 everytime. I dont think I would ever spend that much time again to do it.

At first no I didnt get lucky .-. they stuck my worst part members in and I was like Dx noooooo so I shut it off and on til I got my good characters x3 hehe

that giving you 3 randoms party members got me so pissed and when one died another random came in would have been nice to use the 3 ccharacters i built up for this battle

i had a read of this topic last night then when i slept i had the most wounderful dream i took down every form in 3 hits

yes i dream about games!

i found ultimecia pretty easy each form it was her GF i had the most trouble with i never got lucky with him took me lots of trys but i got their in the end

and just to be an asshole to seph fanboys ultimecia was a hell of alot harder then the final boss in 7

Well for me luck wasn't a problem! I took her out on my first try and i had all my 3 characters to lvl 100. The others.... well i let them die so my better guys could jump in! I also recommend on getting FFVII and FFVIII on the PSP if you one! :charge:

I've only seen the ending cause my uncle beat her.

I have never been able/had the patience to start the damn ending over and over. Either I wasn't high enough in levels, but the ending was ridiculous for me. Was a real turn off at that time for me to play the game.

I plan on finishing it someday! Or at least ... Replaying and finishing it! :ryan:

I actually don't think I struggled with the ending that much. I'm not gonna act like it was a cakewalk, but I didn't have to fret over it to any ridiculous degree. Then again, I had a lot of my characters with their UWs junctioned pretty early on, and I was okay with using different party members.

I think those that tried a variety with their team more might have been a bit more comfortable about the final battle. I was never too attached to a particular team and it caused me to switch them up some (outside of Rinoa), so the switch - although extremely annoying - wasn't devastating for me.

I do recall a bit of "luck" against her second form though, when Irvine was pretty much my only hope.

haha she's one of the easiest bosses i've ever met. i had squall with max strenght and then i had refined steel pipe into aura stones and then she was done for because i could do the limit break how much i want under the aura effect. easy as that, so it doesn't require any luck to do it xD

what a wacky thread!lol
its been like 7 years since i last beat ultimecia and sa i remember i had to give every one weaker weapons just to make it challenging so there comes a point when luck is not a factor

I don't remember having a problem with her.
Probably one first or second try at most.

As always the side quest bosses seemed harder than the story line bosses.
In this case it would be Omega.
He was one tough badass if I remember rightly.

I can remember almost preying each limiti that lion heart would trigger :3

I was "sorta" lucky! I used flare on the bitch and then used metore on her and good thing was i had hero on ! hehe! she tried using apoclipse but FAILED! hehe!

The first time I played, I died the first time then beat her the second but it took awhile. The second time, I had Squall, Rinoa and Selphie as my main party(after killing off the random ones they gave me) and "The End" popped up on Selphie's limit. Needless to say, that battle was much easier. So yes, there was much luck involved there.

Are you kidding me? I never even knew Ultimecia attacked you with Malestrom or meltdown! XD She always kept hitting me with weak ass tornadoes!

To be honest I really didn't need luck. I didn't have all my characters maxed out and allof my characters had different specific traits and abilities so it's not like I had a "bad team"

I just gave it all I got and went all out on her with my strongest GFs, Magic, used aura for Strong Limits, and such. You won't really need luck if you're prepared! I usually kill her first form so quickly she only gets in like 2-3 spells! XD

well most wounder full dream i took down every form in 3 hits. its the great for me .

Well the fight with Ultimecia wasn't too hard or too easy, just right IMO. However it could be hard if your party is underlevelled.

I maxed out all six of my charries. ANd due to the bonuses that you get from later GFs Irvine, Selphie and Rinoa were the strongest in terms of stats cos I refrained from levelling them until I got those GFs, so it didn't matter which party came up during Ultimecia's fight.

I have to say though I was lucky in the sense that I got Squall, Quistis and Zell on the first try and they happened to be my favorite 3.

The first time I tried to beat her it was almost insanely difficult to do so, and I needed multiple tries (too many). Now that I now what I'm doing, I only unlock the magic seal, and meteor her to death (preparations: junction only three chars and have non-junctioned chars go KO at start of battle, have best junction magic, cast triple and haste on each char, cast meltdown on boss).

Ultimecia can be very difficult if you aren't prepared well to fight her. Most of her attacks are very powerful such as Apocalypse, Hell's Judgement, Meteor, etc. It took me a few tries to defeat her because I didn't know the effects or her attacks and also didn't know what junctions I needed for the final battle. So no, I wasn't lucky enough to defeat her on my first try, but it was a good experience fighting her a few times. I enjoy fighting her alot!
