In Memoria, you can swap Zidane out of the party. So you don't need to use him to fight the last boss.:O
Did you know this?

Yeah i knew it. i don't understand why though, its kinda pointless to spend the whole game being forced to use him and then you don't have to at the end. i don't understand the logic in that :/

Yeah, in fact, I made the big mistake to switch him out, just to test if I could actually beat Necron in the battle with Quina, Amarant, Vivi, and Steiner.
Lost, but yeah, I knew that. :P

Unless all your party is at level 99, then it is most probably that Zidane will be a good few levels higher than everyone else and probably even stronger so to take him out of the last boss would seem pointless but it would be more of a challenge to defeat Necron without your strongest party member.

I never tried it or knew it, mainly because Zidane is one of my 2 favorite characters in the game, so I would have wanted to keep him in no matter what. He's by far my most powerful hitter and has the best weapon in the Ultima Weapon which is dual-sided, so I keep him in to kick major ass.

I didnt know that  !

Finally knowing this I can ge tmy 4 fav. chars defeating that sob: Amarant, Freya, Steiner and Vivi. Muhahaha

i didnt know this but hes one of my strongest characters so id prefer to keep him in my party thanks :D.

Interesting, I didn't know this.

Zidane was always my most powerful character in the game, so even if I did, I would have never changed him out. Especially after I spent all that time leveling him up and getting his highest weapon.

I wouldn't want to take him out but some people seem to think he's only good for stealing. I don't know why though and nobody here seems to think that. :p

I wanted to switch him out throughout the entire game, but when the option arose to do it... he was far too powerful at that point to want rid of. Not to say that anyone else in my team was weak, but Zidane was seemingly in a league of his own at the time.

I was pretty annoyed the incorporated this so late on. No one should indefinitey have to be in a party.

Well tbh zidane is only godo for stealing if he weren't the main character.

It's just cuz his level is always much higher than the rest that he's a good fighter but apart from stealing he doesnt have anything special (thievery takes a long time to power up imo and I cant be bugged having 50 of every status-curing item). And cuz of being the main character he has the best weapon as well.

I dont like Zidane wish Amarant were the main char :p

I actually didn't know of this however, Zidane has always been my main character. He was always the strongest in battle tbh (as far as strength goes) and so, I probably wouldn't switch him out anyways. You want to use your best and strongest at the end of the game so, it wouldn't be logical to do so (at least for me)

I think I figured it out at one point and then I forgot again. Thanks for the reminder actually :D I would probably keep Zidane in the party though, because he has one of my favorite limit breaks ever, Solution 9 :8F: And I can spam Thievery :yay: Really I can't think of anyone I would swap for him, because I tend to lean more towards attack power than magic anyway, and for me putting him together with Vivi, Steiner, and Freya makes for the strongest team :)

I actually didn't know this at all, though I never bothered trying. Zidane is always one of my strongest party members at that point so there's really no reason to switch him out. My party at that point is Zidane, Steiner, Vivi and Eiko (I prefer Eiko's white mage abilities over Garnet's).

Yeah, I swap him out while I AP train in there when his are all learned, makes life a little bit easier, I wish the earlier FF's would of implemented this. Even though it's only at the end it's better than a kick in the teeth
