I do want Yuna in this however after she gets in Se better start putting ONLY villians from now on. Though I think they really will not. I would just like to see as the above said.. Beatrix or any other good villian. Just enough with the cosmos warriors. There are enough. Laguna was really random however.. I didnt think SE would choose him out of all ff characters. So it better go like this or something... Yuna, Beatrix, Gilgamesh, Vayne.. something like this :mokken:
 
For that promotional poster, I only see the 16 Cosmos characters we know to expect in the game already :/

I think I've said a lot of things over the months about theories and ideas, but Laguna's reveal really just shook my faith in my insight, so I'm just gonna sit and wait :lew:
 
Yeah, I know what you mean. I don't even know whether the next character will be a hero or a villain.
I do find it interesting, though, that they persist with naming the heroes (even the dark heroes like Kain) Cosmos followers and the villains Chaos followers. I guess that means that my little supposition on the more malleable nature of the pawn's allegiances doesn't count for much, huh?
Ah, well. I guess it's good to be proven wrong every now and then. Gives one perspective, y'know?
As for Yuna being in, I think it's an unsubstantiated rumour. Looking at the "proof" it looks like it's nothing more than a healthy dose of wishful thinking. So, for now at least, I think it'd be best to think of Yuna as still unconfirmed - at least until more proof comes out.
 
Yuna is pretty much confirmed in this translated article from FFReunion regarding the trailer in the closed trailer
First we see Cosmos looking downward. Then warriors of Cosmos gather, Lightning speaks about the crystals: "That power given to us by Cosmos will turn into crystals, Then we should be able to return to our worlds." Light gathers in her hand.
Kain & Golbez talk. Kain: "If Chaos wins, this world will be destroyed." Gobez: "It won't. Everything will repeat itself countless times."
Laguna & Squall. Laguna: "You're taciturn as ever." Squall: "We're on a battlefield. There's no time for idle talk."
WoL & Butz. Butz: "What if we all came up with a name to call you by?"
Frionil & Lightning. Light: "I sense something from this rose of yours." Frio: "You too?"
Sephiroth & Tifa. Sephiroth: "I've been looking for you." Tifa: "Who are you?" Sephiroth: "Your enemy. You needn't know more." Tifa: "A warrior of Chaos then, huh?" Sephiroth advances at her with Masamune, but Cloud appears behind him yelling "Stop!".
Tina to Vaan: "Defeat me... I don't want to use the power of destruction anymore."
Onion & Vaan sitting on board the Phantom Train. Vaan: "Has something happened lately?". Onion hangs his head.
Then a beautiful pre-rendered fast-paced battle between Tifa and Sephirot, other warriors of Cosmos and Chaos. Finally Yuna is shown walking barefoot on water (though only her feet and kimono can be seen

Eh of course it is Yuna. I imagine this is just like her scene in Final Fantasy X at Kilika where she was walking in the water and waving her staff. It has GOT to be that.

Adding the Celestial Nexus zone I see from XI as a stage, for anyone who played XI and got to the missions based there, that area looks awesome. Also, if they are using that zone, I suspect Prishe to be added to the game. For anyone who doesn't know of Prishe from XI, they were a hand to hand fighter also who could cure.
 
Firion
Reel Axe: the second part of the Brave attack could be done even if the Axe hit missed.
More emphasis on the increased speed of Straight Arrow. Hard to react fast enough after the arrow is released.

Cecil
Shadow Bringer: Super short range, but fast.

Terra
Ultima: downward wall rush.

Squall
Fated/Aerial Circle: Increased Absorb effect.

Shantotto
Retribution: cause guard stagger (Melee Mid priority)
Stun: CPU have done Stun>Retribution combo. (But the reporter said that it seems to be avoidable if you spam dodge fast enough)

CoD
Wide Angle Particle Beam: goes further, in high speed. Can go to the air.

Golbez
Sector Ray: has both ground and air versions.

Exdeath
Almagest: Added Magic Block effect and cancel-able during startup.

Kefka
Forsaken: Kefka can move during the attack.

Sephiroth
刹那 (Moment/Instant): short range, somehow similar to WoL's Dayflash
Heartless Angel: Increased after lag if the move is canceled.
Scintilla: Increased Block duration. Almost like Shield of Light?

Kuja
Seraphic Star: keep chasing the enemy even after the hit box appeared. Hard to dodge.

WoL
Sword Thrust: 1st hit (shield toss) has little verticle tracking

Firion
The second part of the 3 ground Brave attacks (Knife/Axe/Lance) are interchangable, depends on your input:
Towards + O = Lance follow up (slash > arrow)
O = Knife follow up (punch)
Away + O = Axe follow up (a few hits then knocks enemy away)

The 3 Magic Arts could be shot continuously up to 3 times, interchangeable too. E.g:
Fire > Fire > Fire
Thunder > Blizzard > Thunder
Blizzard > Fire > Thunder

Emperor
Dynamite: Cause Guard Crush (Ranged High priority) when fully charged.

Sephiroth
eleborate on 刹那 (Moment/Instant): fast startup like Doublecut, Dayflash. When hit, does a follow up attack that looks like Oblivion.

Jecht
when used as an Assist character,
Air Brave assist: Jecht Stream (Full) O, O, down+O

New basic ability
Multi Ground Dash : R+triangle, dash on ground towards opponent.
Multi Ground Dash+: R+triangle, dash on ground towards opponent. Turning possible (with analog stick)
Ground Dodge Distance Up
Assist Lock on

Even if it's still speculation, I wouldn't mind Yuna being in this game. I really like her a lot and I think she would be a wonderful addition to the game. ^_^

If I see the trailer myself, then I'll know for sure. I'm totally accepting of Yuna being in the game, I just can't believe until I see it with my eyes, you know?

But what's with all the Yuna hate? I've been seeing it on other websites ever since this whole "Yuna feet thing" started. I thought alot of people liked her? Or maybe she suffers from "Vaan Syndrome"...

Ehh Amanda you do know that That really isnt Edea right? You will just be using Ultimecia's alternate costume D: It actually is a alternate costume for Ultimecia like it says on the scan. As for Yuna I believe she is confirmed now. The trailer will come sometime soon anyway so we will all know. The new character reveal coud be Yuna also or just the clip from he trailer :hmmm:
 
Could anyone get a link to the screen that is supposed to have part of Yuna in it? You guys all seem to be assured that it is Yuna when it could be someone completely different.

I know. Still it's Edea. tis good enough for me. I'm just happy to see Edea in SOMETHING new. I'm like totally hoping for a CG cutscene with Ultimecia in the Edea alt. >.>

Check the previous page. As of now we dont have a screen or even a glimpse of the new trailer. So like I said lets all wait and see.. Though all the fans at Jump believe it is Yuna. Plus Kimono and bare feet really is a reference to the FFX Kilika sending scene where she was barefoot in the water.
 
I like that Phantom Train will be in this. It was one of my favorite tracks in the game. And the piano version is just....beautiful. I can't wait for this game, its going to be awesome. This and FF4 PSP. Now I only need to see a FF5&6 remake and this year will be complete :)

I have a really, really good feeling it'll be Yuna. What other character walks on water? A female character, that is.

If its not Yuna, it might be Rydia. :)

+ Sephiroth seems to be searching for Tifa. At the Planet's Core the whole FF7 group gather together just as in the original game.
+ Vaan faces Terra. "Defeat me... I don't want to use this destructive power."
+ The Cosmos warriors are given power by Cosmos.
　It seems like using this power to fight, their friendship(?) will eventually manifest a crystal.
+ For Lightning, winning the battle and returning to her original world seems to be her highest priority.
+ Encounters:
vs Vaan
　 Cloud of Darkness: "Are you so unconcerned about your mission?" (Only a faint recollection of what she actually said)
Terra: "It's okay, let's fight."
Lightning: "Will you stop acting so grown-up?"
Kefka: "A kid who... can't read the situation?"
+ Cloud of Darkness as some new techniques in addition to Brave and HP attacks. Her HP attacks were carried out very fast and we couldn't see them well. 　　
+ Cecil rushes up to Kain and Golbez. It was a scene where there's an air of turbulence and unrest from Kain, who's lying on the floor.
+ (in the playable demos) the new characters didn't appear (though I didn't get much time to play)
+ Onion Knight is accosted by Vaan inside a train: "What's up? You don't look too good again."
They have an interesting way of sitting. They're up on the chairs with both feet [[possibly like Vaan's victory pose?]]

+ There wasn't much opportunity for demo play: I queued up before 7am and finally arrived at the Square-Enix booth at 9.
(It was originally supposed to open at 9, but since there were so many people there that's probably why they opened early)
I got a chance to play quite soon, but by the time it got to 10am the waiting time was approximately 120 minutes.
This time there weren't any tickets (for the order in which people could play) They said the waiting time was around 120 minutes but for KH:BBS next door the waiting time was announced to be 90 minutes but was actually more like 45.
+ The characters were Lightning, Kain, Tifa and Laguna.
All the new characters were playable. I picked Kain (with Cecil as an Assist) and there were three different difficulty-levels which could be chosen:
　'People with absolutely no experience of Dissidia', 'People with some experience', and one other (probably aimed towards 'Expert players')
There was one monitor beside the demos, but I think that was probably just showing what the players were doing.
+ My first fight was vs Cloud. "Can sins be forgiven?" (2nd costume) The stage was Chaos' Temple from FF1. For some reason there was a timer, too.　
　This time there were subtitles for the lines both before the fight and after winning. Before playing an explanation of the Assist Gauge popped up.
The gauge fills up when using an offensive move with O or □.
The Assist Gauge has three levels; with one level you can call on a Brave attack from an Assist Character with O
It seems as though when the gauge has two levels filled you can do an HP attack with your Assist Character.
+ The second fight was vs Zidane. "How long can you keep your cool?" (2ns costume)
The stage was a new castle (I've forgotten). I've forgotten Kain's line on winning...
+ The third stage was vs Golbez (I've forgotten his line) (I'm sure that was his third costume) The stage was the mobile fortress Bahamut from FF12.　　
I lost. Kain's line: "I thought I was going to win this..."　
Turns out Golbez' Assist Character was Onion Knight, but Onion Knight was moving at a really crazy pace.
+ Kain's HP attack Gungnir is very sudden, but the reach is shorter than I expected.
However, his Brave attacks are consecutive assaults like Squall's. The Ex Gauge and Assist Gauge both revert to 0 at the end of the battle. This might change in the finished product, maybe. 　
+ [[Some stuff about Jump Festa itself, including getting phone questionnaires and getting small goodies in return]]
+ The closed theatre lasted around 30 minutes, and 7~8 minutes were related to a new PV for Dissidia.　
That was quite satisfactory. In the morning you had to wait for about 30 minutes to see it.

I thought we already knew from Dissida (last one)? Didn't Kefka keep asking her to join their side again? Or to release her powers?

I can't remember correctly, I haven't played in a while, sadly.

Maybe she'll be like Cecil and be able to switch between job classes.

What other female walks on water bear foot? If it was Cosmos, we'd see her dress, not feet:
