I'd definitely say yes. Of course there is going to be a PS4 someday but I wonder when will that be? Probably in the 50th century or something. :lolz:

What are your thoughts on this exactly?
 
I bloody well hope not, the last thing we need is more poorly made Sony Consoles with stolen ideas from other companies but they bitcher the idea and make it 100 times worse then t'other company.

Call me a Fanboy all you want but I don't like the PS3 of XBOX360, the XBOX360 lacks good games, and the PS3 is too pricey and will break so easily.
 
It's too far off to know that yet. If Microsoft or Nintendo decide to make a fourth console for their companies, then I'll probably say yes to a Playstation 4. Of course, it might have a different name by then, who knows.
 
Well, I predict that sony's doom will be more or less like Sega's with their last console being the Dreamcast. Sony isint going very well, it is much more expensive than the other consoles, sure it is powerful, but who wants blu ray 0.o? Sony thinks because the introduced a new media PS2 (usage of DVD's) and it was a great sucess, it would be the same for PS3, but they are totally wrong. Plus, Ps2 had loads of exclusives, including Final Fantasy, Grand Theft Auto and many others, which would attract many people to buy those consoles. PS3 used to have many exclusives, but many of them, including Grand Theft Auto are possibly to also be released at the same time on other consoles such as the X-box 360. Sony is also facing extreme shortages in stock, there was supposed to be at least 4 million units by the end of this year, but it got lowered to 2 million and then a further 1 million, it's probably gonna be around 400,000 now 0.o This brings many ridiculous sales around the world, on eBay, they are all selling for above $1000, which is crazy and brings bad reputation to Sony. The launch games for Ps3 were really crap, for the possible exception of Resistance: Fall of man and maybe Ridge Racer 7 or was it 8 0.o Many great games like Oblivion , Sonic, NBA, have been delayed or cancelled, and it brings down the console greatly, for example, the Wii, had AWESOME launch titles, like Zelda and Red Steel. I would obviously prefer Wii if it was up to launch titles. The PS3 might be very powerful, even more powerful than some computers, it dosent use much of it's power, has loads of firmware glitches and bugs. It also often overheats and makes lots of noise, which causes the console to break or crash, and then you have to take to the shop, and have it fixed, but they don't know how to fix it, and theres no refund and no more PS3's so thats your warranty gone. To make games for PS3, you would need a development team or group, many of them experts at PS3, and a whole lot of cash. It could take hundreds of people to make, just one game! At least, on the Wii, anybody could just go with little money, and make a whole Wii game, there was this man who by himself was able to create a one-man game for the Wii, Nintendo saw that it was a great game and many people liked it, they even licensed it now!

Ummm....I wanted Blu-Ray TB! :P And that was part of the PS3's appeal to me as that makes it way more than just a gaming console.

I definitely think there will be a PS4, no doubt about it!
 
They might have been around for long, but nintendo is the king of consoles it shall win! Wii60 would be even better! PS3 might have good graphics but you need to have HDTV to see them, or else it's normal graphics, plus the graphics dont count that much do they, id rather play an 8 bit fun game like Super Mario Bros. other than a PS3 game like Ridge Racer 7... Thats where PS3 is losing to Wii, the Wii is so fun, it has the Wiimote and Nunchuck, it's got the virtual store, where you can buy old NES, SNES and N64 games, plus two other consoles! Theres great games, like Twilight princess, and it's got great multiplayer like Red Steel. Anyone, no matter how old or immature or uneducated, can pick up a wiimote or nunchuck and start playing easily, your 5 year old son, can play, your grandmother can play, it appeals greatly to gamers and non-gamers, thats where Nintendo gets loads of sales, and it's cheap.
Nintendo is actually making money on the Wii as opposed to PS3, Sony is losing alot of money on those PS3's, thats why the original price for it was $1000 but it got lowered to $600, so now Sony must rely on game sales to get profit, while Wii rakes in money, loads of it! But Sony does not make those games, so they don't get as much money, yet Nintendo develops and publishes many of their awesome games, Mario, Metroid and Zelda are all by Nintendo!

Godspeed I hope you know everything that is made has stolen ideas. Take GTA and Driver for example, stolen ideas are great since they improve the product so it's not just the same thing.

Sony will probably just retire from gaming, since they are losing money from it, they will probably settle for other electronics like TV's, DVD players, MP3, and other stuff 0.o Just like what happened to poor Sega, some time ago....

I'm aware of most things are stolen ideas, but some of the stolen ideas are so blatant it pisses me off.
Like Sony announcing motion sensors after Nintendo had planned it, it just gets my goat ya know.
 
Of course sony will make a ps4 but it will be a wile. I am guessing 35-60 years though.
 
Meh there probably will be but I hope it's good few years away, altho I cant see it being in 35-60, more like 10 :wacky:

Can't say how it would be different although it had better be bacwards com[patible -__- If my PS2 breaks, Id much rather replace that than get a PS3 atm.....

I doubt I will even WANT a PS4....but if my daughter is anything like me I anticipate being harrassed to death like I did with my mum for months for a Mega Drive :wacky:
 
Sony will most likely come up with a PS4 mayby by 2015. I can't see how much better it can get though. The PS gaming technology has sort of reached its full potential with the blue-ray.
Possibly in the future, the games will be more virutal such as Solid Snakes VR missions.

But yeah, I'm guessing more like 10 years from now - and that's really extending it (my daughter would be playing by then), but I seriously don't know how any better it could be.

...Or, the PS3 may indeed drag Sony down to oblivion, who knows? :wacky:

I wouldn't be surprised if there was a PS4 in about... 10 years? I'unno.

Although it scares me to think what kind of improvements they'll have this time. Hell, I still don't even know what's so special about the PS3, apart from using the controller like a steering wheel in driving games. >_>

Hahaha yeah I can't see how it will improve or anything, I can only see the PS3 being updated at the moment, but then I know naff all about this stuff anyway.

They should really think about backwards compatability being more available though, that can't be helping things AT ALL

I don't want all my old games sitting redundant when I can't get hold of a PS2 nymore and I eventually want to upgrade....to....something o_O

I remember really wanting a PS2 but Im not all that fussed about a PS3 so as for a PS4....who knows
