Doctor Who

Think he was sent back with The President. You didnt see either of them actually fall, so The Master is going to be trapped with him :|

Timothy Dalton appearing as a timelord really helped make a lot of sense. It's proof of something people have speculated for decades. James Bond is a timelord. :awesome:

Anyway it was an ok two episodes, though not the best. The last 10 mins of the last episode felt a lot like a "goodbye Russell The Davies' creations" moment. Essentially
every alien from the new series was at the bar
at the end, and
many characters from different episodes
. In a way, that was ok, but it just felt a bit forced.. I mean even the lard-baby was running around. :D

As for the new Doctor I'm going to give him a chance. I mean I remember when I saw Eccleston transform into Tennant... I thought that Tennant wouldn't be as good after seeing him recovering from the regeneration, but he turned out to be a pretty awesome Doctor.

Smith just needs time to show what his personality is like and then I'm sure he will be quite good too. The writers that took over apparantly know what they are doing more than the past few series', so there is probably a very strong reason why they chose him as soon as he auditioned, without considering anyone else.

He's set to be quirky and so long as he keeps that up, is entertaining, and though he is young hopefully not too-youth orientated (it annoys me when they try to be all bling about things - if that is even the right word, I'm not in with the crowd myself) then I'm sure he'll be quite good. It isn't fair to use the regeneration sequence to judge what he'll be like as it only gave him a few minutes or less to essentially say "ah I'm here! Ha ha!" etc. I quite liked how he had to double check he wasn't a girl though as he was concerned due to his youth and his hair. :D

thats what i was thinking :hmmm:

I may have been imagining it, but
I could have sworn he started to say "Mum"
. Might be my imagination though, but the look of
horror on his face when he seen her and she was crying. So there was something deep there.

Glad to see the statues from BLINK are back. But Im not excited at all. It looks meh to me. He already has a catchphrase already I see, Geronimo? Whoopie ... The companion looks bit hit and miss. I wanted Sally Sparrow to be the new one, oh well.

It was so sweet how he said goodbye to everyone, but I wanted Donna to see him before he departed :( Wilfred crying had me going and I thought he was going to die aswell!! I think that woman who Wilfred always seen and was behind Dalton was the Docs mum if thats possible. Timothy Dalton was kick ass as was the hot John Simm ^^
That was a ridiculous ending. There was no need for him to go see everyone like that, they should have had him regenerate in the booth when he absorbed all the radiation and left it at that.
Also, I don't get why the TARDIS got so destroyed by his regeneration. It isn't the first time The Doctor has regenerated in there, and it never started falling apart.

Sooo, it turns out that The Master did help The Doctor in the end. Oh, and what happened to The Master after he electrocuted the Time Lord leader?
He returned to Gallifrey with the rest of the Time Lords.

I'm looking forward to the Blink statues. Blink was one of the best episodes of late.

I loved it. His last line though, felt so sorry for him. :(

I like the look of Smith from the little snippet at the end and the trailer for the new series. He looks like an old school Doctor but with something fresh and new.

Was hoping for more fron Donna though.

I really liked this part to the first one because it felt more emotional since David Tennant was leaving.
Having Rose, Jackie, Donna, Wilf, Sylvia, Martha, Mickey and Jack seemed to make sense since it's the last time we'd ever see them.
And I thought I was the only one who thought that
woman behind the Time Lords was his mum! I thought he was saying her name as well.

It felt like Matt Smith was being too much of a clone of David for the fifty seconds we saw him for. It's weird now he's there because I've gotten so used to seeing our good old Tenth Doctor for ages. I've seen the series five trailer and may yet give it a chance. However, I'm annoyed that
there are VAMPIRES in this
and delighted to see
the angels returning.

I WEPT!!! I FUCKING WEPT!!!

Matt Smith is not my cuppa tea, so Im not taking this so well ... *wails*

Yeah, I wasn't too sure about Matt, buuuuuuut....

Don't watch if you want to be surprised for Season 5.

I see
Weeping Angels.

Still, I never liked the last episode, but this one was, in my opinion, spectacular and a brilliant farewell to David Tennant.

I liked his last episode. Although I thought his death scene was dragged on a bit, I think I understand why they did it. By
visiting each companion in turn and sorta saying goodbye
I think it draws this era to a close, meaning that these characters won't be returning at all in any of the new Doctors episodes, so it's not only goodbye to David Tennant's Doctor, but goodbye to everyone else too.

I just saw a group on Facebook about getting Tennant back as The Doctor.

Been reading through the comments, such as:

"Matt Smith is a stupid idiot"

xD The guy has been on the show for 2 minutes and is already being judged? Pathetic. Give the guy a chance ffs. Tennant taking over from Eccleston was a HUGE risk which payed off. I know Tennant has a huge fanbase and probably has been the best Doctor so far, but this is just silly.

There was also comments like "Smith copied Tennant with the way he checked himself!"

Ok, 1: Smith does not write the show. So he didn't just decide that he would check his hair and teeth.
2: Eccleston checked himself in a simular way when he saw himself in a mirror in the first series.

I actually can't wait to see what Smith is going to be like, especially now RTD is gone, and the likes of Stephen Moffat are going to be writing alot more episodes.

You cant be mad at people for not liking change, DT is perhaps the best Doctor the series had. And its still a shock for people to come to terms with him going. Ive been a David Tennant fan since day 1 and I loved Eccleston as the Doc also. They did take a big risk with Tennant and it worked. But I think because people grew use to Tennant, Smith is filling a huge hole.

I didnt like him in The Ruby in the Smoke and when I heard he was the new Doc I was beyond upset and angry. People are entitled to their opinions, you may think people are pathetic cause they arent happy, but what harm are they doing to you?

I'm not calling them pathetic for not being happy with Tennant leaving, I think it's pathetic that Smith has been written off after a two minute check of his body and a small trailer.

It'd probably be the same if there was somebody else taking over and not Smith aswell. I love Tennant as The Doctor and it is going to be strange seeing someone new, as he was there long enough for us to get used to (unlike Eccleston who only done one series, or McGann who only done 1 TV movie special)

Just find it strange how Smith is being called stupid and what-not. Almost as if it's his fault Tennant left. xD

Yeah it is ridiculous that people are judging Matt Smith based on the very little they've see so far. It's like when Daniel Craig was announced as James Bond and people went nuts straight away (and subsequently looked rather stupid). Steven Moffat evidently thinks Matt Smith is right for the role, and I trust his judgement.

People are bound to come off as negative towards a new actor, especially when it's for playing the Doctor. I'm not too sure about Matt Smith being him since he DID act too much like David Tennant at the end. But the series five trailer changed my mind slightly and I'll give him a chance to see if he makes the role. Other than that, I can't say anything else at this point.

Gosh i am a huge fan to the new seasons but i also love the old ones too. Although i must admit i love the whole younger doctors ;)

I saw a lot of the old old episodes with my granddad years ago and i liked them but the whole old looking doctor did not seem to hold my attention. it was mostly the comedy well slight comedy i suppose which kept me watching. Lets face it back in those days they could not do the same effects they can now and it was good but not AS good as the newer series have done due to the ammount special effects has changed.

I must admit when the ninth doctor came on the scene aka
Christopher Eccleston
i really did not know what to think, he was rather strange and i think when i was 10 minutes into the first episode and he meets rose i truely began to like the series. The way he spoke, the humour he brought to it and with rose as well it just made the whole thing fun, although the storyline for those episodes was rather weird.. but then again doctor who always has been slightly strange storyline wise hehe. i think that is why we love it so much.

When rose came on the scene i must admit i loved her and her relationship which seemed to build in each episode. She reminds me so much of my cousin and i loved her whole humour and fresh air approach she brought to the whole scene. She was not much of a fire fly but you didnt need that for the first newer episodes because she could stand her ground when she needed too. I always was and still am a fan of the rose and doctor pairing more so than the rest and i actually cried when... well i think we all know what happens. :)

When he changed to the 12th doctor,
David Tennant oh boy i did not like it, i did not want him to change in any shape of form, i suppose the 11th doctor became familar to me and i did not want to have a new doctor. even though we knew that would eventually happen i suppose i just wanted him to say because i was use to him and rose and when that changed it was rather strange for me. I remember watching it with my fiance and ending up going "i dont like that new dude" rofl. i hadnt even watched him other than the special.. i think i didnt want to give him a chance for some unknown reason.

but eventually i gave in and i became to love that one more than the 11th and now im bloody annoyed ive got to get use to someone else again now. I loved this guy who played the doctor his whole facial expressions cracked me up every single time and his whole personality seemed to lift a little bit and he became sassy and flirty which is something i liked haha.

When martha came on the scene, ill be honest i didnt like her much at first either, i wanted rose and i remember refusing to watch the first two episodes as i was ticked she wasnt in it. it was when my fiance got me the boxset for my birthday that i gave in. it took me a while to get use to her and actually like her. i think i was halfway through the season when i began to warm to her, longer than any other of his companions which was rather strange but she seemed slightly weird to me back then. i guess it was how the seasons ended and begun which made me feel that wayl. but as the episodes went on i did begin to like her and in the end i did miss her going BUT i still am not completely fond of her like i am with rose and donna. it is weird..

Ahhh donna, donna, donna i have to say i love her more than rose, she is sassy, witty, gobby and her cracks make me laugh every single time. After we had rose who was mild, sometimes had a small temper but was mostly emotional and i suppose the doctor needed to care for someone at that time. Then we had martha who had a huge crush but hid that slightly, was adament she would be seen as equal always saying she is a doctor or training to be one etc and also standing her ground with the people who came for them. she was stronger when it came to dealing with things she relied on the doctor sure but she mostly knew what she could do and was prepared to do it, as we see in the future.

and then we get donna who simply wont listen to anything he has to say, it is done her way, she wants to save people she will stick her feet in until he does something and even if it saves one person shes happy. she refuses to sit back and think "oh well, it was fixed" she is what he needs when both rose and martha are gone, he needs someone to worry about but also someone to give him the kick up the ass he needs to change and realise he can always do something.

i just loved her whole family, she is brilliant, her mum is too and her granddad also. they just seemed to be a better choice for the doctor. dont get me wrong i liked roses family and also marthas but not as much as donnas. XD

and alas i am showing the true nerd i am hehe

i think it is just such a amazing series compared to the typical dreary stuff we have on today what holby, east enders, corronation street..... and all that jazz they have become typical, nothing special. each year at christmas they kill someone off, or someone dies or something big happens. same with the other stuff and each episode there is drama and you can guess what is going to happen next and so forth its nothing which forces you to watch. to wait a week in eagerness for the next episode. to watch confidential for hints about the next episode. it just didnt have the pull that doctor who had. or torchwood for that matter im a fan of that too haha.

BUT this new guy, who is stepping into CE and DT shoes gosh he has a hard role to play, both of those were amazing as the doctor and i really hope this guy does just as well. but personally i dont like the whole idea of him being the new one, his appearance just seems weird to me, i suppose im use to a certain doctor looking a certain way and this guy well... he dissapoints me as there choice. i know it is harsh to say that and i shouldnt because i havent seen him as it yet but i really am unsure of him. i will give him a go because what the other two changes have taught me is that you cant judge it just from appearance i felt funny when DT came on the scene, or when martha came it just took time to like the new characters and the new appearance because i suppose its familar and we loved the old characters.

but we shall see how he does he might do brilliantly. we knew DT would go soon anyway as he did his seasons and he was due to a change again, it is like a path now that every season of couple of them he would change form again and so forth, we dont have to like it at first, just give it a go, who knows maybe well warm to him like we did before. but a new doctor and new companion....eeeeeehh i dunno how that will do concidering we always had something familar and then someone new... but two new people... awkward i think xD but she does remind me on gwen in some ways. XD

i think it is just such a long running series which pulls in people of all ages and is throughly enjoyed by millions. how can that be wrong XD

Just FINALLY Watched The End Of Time... and it WAS good, although I'm REALLY not looking forward to the new Doctor that much....I don't know, I just don't like him.

I was fine up until
he went to see Rose. THAT tore me up, because she didn't know him I just started bawling my eyes out >_< After that I was crying all through the regeneration and actually MISSED the Matt Smith bit due to it, and had to go back so I could see it. I know that if he GERONIMO is replacing Alonsy! I'm like -__-. I DID like seeing everyone again, although I wish Donna could have actually SEEN the Doctor. I loved Jack's bit, as I loooove him and Alonso is awesomeness.

All in all it was rather good though,
I didn't like Rassilon... He rather annoyed me to be honest. >.> and his spit-shouting amused me. Also, was I the only one that giggled when The Master shouted out "THE MASTER RACE!!!!"? I was like NAZI! I also knew the SECOND The Doctor was like I'm Alive! that Wilf was gonna be the knocker. I was like "...Wilf :omg: YOU HAD TO GO IN THERE!"

Well, now we have it announced for Easter, but I just feel like the trailer is a bit... Eh......
