Does anyone find this game considerably difficult?

I've actually taken a few breaks from it, as I have struggled on this one more than any of the others I've played. Maybe it's just because it's a different kind of Final Fantasy...

I dunno', opinions?

No final fantasy game is really all that hard for me, all you gata do is grind levels and you can beat bosses without using your brain.

wat part u on?

Actually, no. I found it to be considerably easy, tbqh. It didn't really take me long to get the hang of the battle system and none of the storyline bosses were much of a challenge, including the final boss. I had a bit of difficulty with some of the espers (Ultima was a bitch) but that's about it. Oh and the monsters in the optional section of the Barheim Passage (if I'm remembering correctly-whatever that place is that you fight Zodiark) were pretty tough. Storyline-wise, the game was easy to me.

A little bit after Balthier and all them "kidnap" the princess so she can do her biz.

To me this game encouraged power-levelling, as you had access to a lot of areas early in the story. So I used the Dustia trick to quickly level up to 30. It made the game a lot easier and a lot more fun.

I didn't find it all that hard, Mainly because I was about 20 levels infront of what I was ment to be, I used the Dustia Trick and shit. I also bought/got new gear and weapons.
Some bosses were hard my first play through, but my second one was easy peasy.

I did when I first played it, I just couldnt get my head round the new battle system or the gambits, I sucked so bad, and I kept dying right near the beginning because I left town on the wrong side AND i decided to take on one of them t rexes.....

Also kept getting my arse handed to me on the Leviathan later on, so much so that I gave up for liek, 3 months

replayed it recently, and because I knew what I was doing, it was a doddle, so yeah, if you dont know what you're doing its an arse, but other than that it's painfully easy, set your gambits up and you are away...

There's a fine line in this game of being too difficult and being too easy, to be honest I never used the gambit system in FFXII (and only started in Revenant Wings) because I think I missed the whole explanation of it completely. :wacky:
But it's the Elder Wyrm that pissed me off, I had to go and level up for hours before I could manage to beat it >.> then, in the end I seemed to have leveled up to the point the bosses became far to easy >.>

All video games have challenges which will pass as being difficult. As for FFXII, I found it easy compared to other FFs. There were a few annoying obstacles though, like the stupid Leviathan. The Esper and optional battles were quite difficult also, compared to the rest of the game.

I found some parts of the game pretty difficult; Judge Ghis took me a few tries, as did the Elder Wyrm. But besides those things, I found the game pretty easy. I used the Negalmuur trick to level up and I did a fair few hunts so I was dramatically over levelled towards the end of the game.

Clever gambits & plenty of grinding, you're sailing. There's never been bosses where I've had anything more over 3 attempts, although the higher-lvl hunts are deeming themselves harder. (Ixion ;_; ) Even then, it's just a case of getting a higher lvl, checking gambits or alternatively buying 6x Rubber Suits but that's not exactly cheap lmao. (nor easy... D; )

It's definitely hard for me. I hate leveling up. Because it feels more and more like a drag.

I had problems with this game but it was generally motivating myself to do the level grinding.

Watch out for a certain lady.she might warn about the spamming.anyway, this game was kinda hard, but not too hard.the fact that the learning was through a system rivaling FFX's sphere grid was a drag, but it allowed variety among the charaters and their abilities. also, the boss fights took a lot of thought, too much in my opinion....i am kinda lazy

I found it difficult at first [what with the new battle system] but now its easy and more fun than difficult =]

Awkward at first, I kept thinking pressing buttons would actually do something until I realized it was still turn-based. Only real problem I've had thus far was the Cluckatrice (sp?) Hunt, which I tried while severely under-levelled. From then on I learned to take my time in new areas to level grind before I try to move in the plot, so it's pretty easy now. Just beat King Bomb without knowing the battle was coming up, thus not having prepared any Gambits beforehand and with Gold Amulets as accessories, and still beat it on my first attempt with only Basch dieing once. I understand the real challenges are yet to come, but thus far, it's going smoothly.

I found, and am still finding it hard. One or two of the bosses are quite tough, and it's hard seeing where you are going wrong with gambits when you can't really keep an eye on your allies because you're too busy fighting your own battle.

I haven't invested an awful lot of time into FFXII though, but I fully intend to.

i do find this game hard im lik 44 hours into it and only at lvl 44 O.O normanlly id probably be finished with 7 or 10 by now. and i died at the very begginning Xd which i hav never experienced

If you are just doing the storyline portion of XII, I would say that this game would be of around average difficulty. Around 6/10 imo.

Though if you are doing all the optional stuff as well - especially for a perfect game file - well XII rates a very difficult game some bosses are just really hard to kill.

I am looking at you - Omega, Yizzie and Zodiark. The difficulty rating then would be around 9/10 for 100% completion.

Hmm... thought i already had a post here.... oh well.. i found this game dreadfully more difficult than all of them other FFs.. the storyline was quite hard.... the things that i found the most difficult though were 1.)the pharos 2.) the marks 3.)getting some of the optional summons.
