Does anyone here like FFX enough to play it again?

Again and again and again and again and again :)

I promised myself I'll wait at least 3 years before I replay it again...

Yes. I've played it about 6 to 8 times myself, because it's easily one of the greatest games ever made. It can be replayed as many times as one wishes, because there are seven different characters to use and different paths and strategies to use every time. This alone calls for about 2 or 3 replays for fans.

If they release either a HD version with X-2 on the PS3 or a portable version on the PS Vita then yes, I could see myself playing this game again. On the PS2, though? This seems unlikely. My FFX file has a horrifying playtime count on it, owing to hours of grinding in the Monster Arena for spheres so I could defeat the Dark Aeons without cheating by using Zanmato. I've seen more than enough of the game to last me for a few years, unless I get a new incentive to play it...

No. No one likes this game enough to play through it again. Are you crazy? What kind of sadistic need drives you to play this game all the way through ONCE, much less multiple times? What foul sense of glee can be garnered from tormenting yourself by playing this game, by enduring the excruciating storyline, art, and -- ick! ack! -- the so called 'characters' of this game?

Only a masochist would want to play this game again. The only thing that could tempt me to play this game again is if there were some way to manipulate events so that every character ended up as a grotesque trophy of Vlad the Impaler. Not that Vlad would have to work much to make them grotesque, as they are already an eye-sore in their natural state.

Anyone that feels the desire to play this game again voluntarily should immediately seek medical help or else ask their family members to turn them loose in the sewers of Raccoon City, that they may mingle with the natural denizens there who are similarly immune to agony, which is the natural human response to playing this game.

The only game I would play with this travesty of nature would be a lively game of shooting skeet with my pump-action 12-gauge Ithaca.

I tried to play it again but I just couldn't XD; I'm pretty much with Dragon Mage here except that I don't really care enough to sit and trash the whole game. It DID have good points to it but not enough.

I could honestly play it over a few times without getting bored of it because i find something new each time. But i'm sure it'd get old after the tenth time.

I'd definitely play it again. Getting around to it eventually, seeing as I have a bunch of other games to complete and school starting up again soon. I have another file started, though. It's one of my favorite FF games :D I bet that forum's hate for FFX is why it's dead ;)

My initial answer is to say, no, but I'll raise a caveat to this question. I'd play it again if somebody paid me to. If I'm not being compensated, than no, I would not play X again. I slaved through hours and hours of this game, and I think that I subjected myself to Tidus and the gang for long enough.

Playing FFX is, in my view, like smashing yourself in the nads with a hammer. Do it once, it's excruciatingly painful. Do it twice... that enters masochist territory. Why would I want to subject myself to that pain again? Nay I say, nay!

I'm actually playing it right now. Reason is, a friend hasn't beaten it, and he wanted Anima, so I just recently got it for him

I didn't mind FFX (well, not as much hate as everyone else) and I have played it numerous amount of times (like the other FFs). There is not much deviation in terms of development which can be done over and over so replay is rather limited to enjoying, the now almost obsolete, artistic work.

Well i like it enough to play it again. Not looking forward to getting the celestials again though, that was a mission and a half.

I do, on the otherhand, look forward to finding all the Aeons, and learning all the spells again.

I'm currently replaying FFX at the moment, this will be my second play through. It's fun and I am enjoying it again. I'm also someone who doesn't usually replay RPGs but it's been so long since I last touched this game I've almost forgotten everything about it!!

I do remember I used to love Tidus but now... I hate him, i don't even get how I used to like that guy. Annoying wanker.

I certainly love FFX enough to play it twice! I've resumed an old game recently, so I haven't actually completed it yet...which is the priority!

I would, however, like to complete a few games first, and I have an awful lot of reading to do... So it'll be a few years before I REplay it. :)

Another problem I reckon with playing the older (now) classics is the decline in impressive graphics. I mean, X looked wicked at the time, but now..Tidus' face doesn't move..awkward. Even worse is cloud is a block of pixels running across the screen. It seems to take some of the epicness away from playing it through.

I've replayed FFX quite a few times, I love playing with the sphere grid and tinkering with the specializations of your characters. Nothing pwns like a quick hit circle jerk.

I've replayed it a couple of times, but I've never got a perfect game with everything obtained- I've never been able to do the chocobo training or the butterfly catching...or Blitzball. Unfortunately I'm having to start all over again because my memory card decided to be unformatted all of a sudden, losing all of my games :(

Devastating. Although sometimes I think its better to start over. You get a good idea of where you are at, and what you need to do.

I love this game! I play it every year usually! along with most of the other FF games, but I just dont post about them, cause lets admit it, we get to a certain point where your just playing it for fun and not wondering where things are anymore, and the older the games get the less people well comment on them usually... at least this is my opinion.

Yup. It was my first final fantasy, and I hold it close to my heart. Good story, good characters, just all around awesome. I could play it again, and again, lol.

I'm about to play it again! :busta: This will be playthrough #6 (or so, I lost count, but it has been re-played very often)
Anyone here still can't get enough of the battle system and the leveling system? They seem quite simple and yet so very interesting.
