Hi fellow fans i have 2 questions about game music, game soundtrack if you don't mind please answer these questions and be honest when you do thanks.

1.does this make me weak or soft because of i love certain game music and yes some of the certain soft songs of game music/game soundtrack too since I'm a guy?

I ask because one of my favorite singers is kuda kumi and i love the song 1000 words both in English and in Japanese it reminds me of me and 3 of my close friends who i loved and yes they are like family to me one of them is like a brother to me as i am to him and the other 2 is like little sisters to me and I'm like a big brother to them and i love all songs of ff7 and yes including aerith's theme it's so beautiful i love that song as one of my favorite songs as well as i love all songs of ff7 and i love all songs of ff13.

And another example is one of the the songs i loved on ff10 is Suteki Da Ne and yes i admit the song Suteki Da Ne and 1000 words made me feel a little sad and yes i know people like me who love game music/or game soundtracks and yes i do love other Asian music/Asian songs as well.

2.is it weird or am i going way too far if i ever get soundtracks of any of my favorite games, movies, anime whatever if i love it/or at least if i still love it?

thanks for your answers and thanks for your honesty and if it's in wrong forum I'm sorry

If you have to ask if something makes you weak or soft - then you're already weak.

If you like something then fuck the nay sayers.. Don't worry about your image or seeking approval.

I'm not worry i was asking out of curiosity I'm not seeking for approval and yes i do know a lot of girls and a lot of women love manly man a guy who never crys never show emotions some reason they love that because they think they are so in love with bastards and other evil men aka douchebags.

And they want to change him into the guy she wants him to be instead of accepting him for who he is in most cases anyway and they always love what they can't have in most cases i don't know why if that's what they want then i rather die alone as a virgin then women and girls like that and yes I'm saving my virginity till marriage and i expect her to do the same :).

Oh, you're totally in the same boat as me.

Let's just say I sometimes go to sleep listening to the slow/soft tracks of Final Fantasy XIII and get extreme chills when listening to that Final Fantasy X ending theme. I'll admit to tearing up in that Final Fantasy X ending. Teenage male, here.

If anyone seriously judges you for liking classical-style game music or any Final Fantasy music in general, just know that YOU are the one with the good taste in music, and can truly appreciate art. Final Fantasy's music is definitely a highlight that most true fans talk about and enjoy. It's really wonderful music.

THIS! ^ Seriously, you like what you like. Video game, and Final Fantasy music in particular is just great to listen to. I loved all the music from FFIX. And I loved the music in Kingdom Hearts. I listen to "Simple and Clean" as well as the Traverse Town theme song regularly. They are just nice. As for your second question, I have considered getting a KH soundtrack before, so no there's nothing wrong with that either. When I get an iPod, you can bet there's gonna be video game music on there. XD

Firstly, there's a punctuation mark called "comma" (,). Use it a little more.

Secondly, as paradoxal as it may sound, you shouldn't pay attention to what other people tell you, nor to what they think. I mean, the fact you've made a topic about it is because deep inside you know you're right, you have that internal compass and you don't agree with the others, but first you need the approval of others. Stop looking other people's approval. The only person that must approve an accept you is you.

In short: whatever rocks your boat.

There is absolutely NOTHING wrong with liking video game music. I personally find that some of the best music I listen to is video game music because I love composed music like that, and it takes ALOT more talent to do their music than the worthless "artists" we have nowadays. I'd listen to Uematsu or Hans Zimmer any day of the week over garbage on the radio. Fuck the haters and listen to whatever you want, wear whatever you want, and if people don't like it? There's 2 things they can do about it. Nothing, and like it.

Why would it...? Music is music. Video game music usually isn't made by people who think, "Oh this is just a game, so let's just make something cheap and flimsy in structure that sounds okay." It's the same as every other kind of music, they sit down and compose something that's (usually) quality work. Take Nobuo Uematsu, for example; all of the stuff he's been critically acclaimed for composing, not only in the FF games but in other places, you don't just come up with gold like that without being a serious composer, and it demands as much respect as music from a band or solo artist.

Listen to this and tell me if video game music is weak or soft :mokken:
This guy does nothing but vidya game mewsik covers and quite frankly, he's absolutely amazing at it. He even has a few tutorials for those that want to learn how to play them on their own guitars. He's my man crush, really. His most recent cover was amazing, it was a Dungeon Seige cover, even if you didn't play the game I recommend you watch it. Same goes for his Castle Crashers Necromancer cover. If I could marry him just for this music, I would, and I'm straight :mokken:

There are no such things as gender barriers when it comes to being passionate over the media. Gender barriers are only set up to try and control how you think. Banish them: They don't exist.

As far as music goes, music is what emotions sound like. Some artists and composers have that natural talent to reach into your soul and stir those feelings you keep locked away. It's all right if you find yourself filled with joy or even crying because of a song, regardless of your gender.

You simply understand what emotions the song is trying to convey. That's all it is.

OP asked this question a year ago, is long gone and people are still entertaining his trivial question. Love it!

It's not weird to like video game music and listen to it. I think it's a little weird to listen to it like how most people would listen to other music though.

music is music. there's really no difference to any of it. to say that one genre is weird to listen to constantly is to say that all genres are weird to listen to constantly. if you can say videogame music is weird to listen to all the time, then someone can say the same about jazz or pop music.

if you like listening to video game music, that's not weird--it's just your taste in music. just as it's someone's taste in music to listen to rock/rap/etc.

it's a silly question and no, it doesn't make you soft. :lew:

It does make you a little bit soft and weak. I mean 1000 words!!! Cmon

But really you shouldnt ever be ashamed of what you enjoy even when the masses have the opposite opinion.
