Does this make me weird?

This does not make you weird. I like 9 but ending is a little odd. Seven is good nice story not the best though even though people say it is, they are just confused. 8 is also pretty good im replaying it right now

Now now, let's not give OP delusions of grandeur with the minigames. To play all those, you of course need to pay to get in the Grand Saucer (and most likely pay for a savepoint). The motorbike is fun, the snowboarding has extremely loose controls, and the Moogle minigame...frankly I'm not sure it can even count as a minigame. You do have the boxing, which would be cool only its nothing more than an unpredictable rock-paper-scissors. There's the sub minigame, which isn't too bad, and then you have um...that battle arena, whatever it's called, and that makes for a good challenge. You can win alot of good prizes with it too, like a Ribbon and I think some sorta summon materia, I never messed around with it much.

He's right, You do have to pay to play these mini-games and you do have to pay to save.
Which is a negative. There is also the arm-wrestle game too, but that's just a button-masher, which is no fun at all and ruins your controller.

So yeah, just don't want OP to buy VII expecting lots of great, in-depth minigames.

That's alright, did over-hype it a little bit..

Zidane is a really great protagonist, he's just a nice normal guy you could hang out and have a good time with. He really cares about his friends and he's full of advice. The whole game is pretty anti-emo, it does alot to keep a relatively positive outlook on things, even when stuff gets real bad. Alot of people like the whole dark, angsty loner hero stuff and I just don't know why...it doesn't make them tough, they just have social issues. So I liked IX's down to earth approach.

Really agree with you, it's was nice how things in IX didn't get -too depressing..
It has it's serious moments, but it teaches you that everything can be alright no matter what goes on...

It doesn't really matter what you play first, as they have no known connection. I prefer FFVII to the others, but that is my biased opinion. It depends on your preference as a player. If you like the more modern games, then FFVIII, follow by FFVII would be good. If you like the older games, like FFIII and tactics, then FFIX would suit you.

Not at all :monster: If you enjoy the FF titles that you have played then you can still be a fan. a fan etc doesn't mean you have to play every FF title out there Hell, I know I haven't.
If you like certain FF games over others and like more of whatever you like more and generally stick to that type of stuff that doesn't make you weird. I've played V,VII VIII,IX,X, X-2 and XII. I personally liked VIII,IX and X best out of the FF games i've played. It's all based on what you like really.
