Final fantasy X is such a great game. I don't think it gets the praise it deserves, the fighting in the game is spot on and the graphics for the time were superb! I admit the voice acting can be a bit :S but i love the game none the less. Definitley up there with the great final fantasys :)

A lot of people think the same as you really..X is generally well liked, especially for the story.

My only gripe is some parts of the Sphere Grid, the rushed voice acting (some scenes characters speak too quickly, and the copious amounts of FMV's.

Loved everything else for the most part, probably would give it like an 8/10.

You have to have empty nodes for fortune/luck spheres:monster:
I actually didn't mind the voice acting, I find it quite hard to fault, I can't think of something I don't like off the top of my head.
Also I disagree, I think FFX does get a lot of praise, it probably gets more now than it did when it came out. Considering that all FF games to have come after it are inferior in most peoples' eyes, it's celebrated more as a result.
FFX is my second favourite FF game, and not too far away from being first.

I think it's gradually getting more and more praise as time goes on.

A while ago I didn't think it got enough but the last year or so I've noticed that quite a substantial amount of people have commented on how it's one of their favourites if not their number 1!

The attention that FFVII gets goes way beyond praise in my opinion and it's kinda ruining it for me.

If that was the kind of praise you meant, then no, FFX doesn't get that much attention. XD

FFX is in a good position though. It's recognised and loved by many but isn't ridiculously worshiped!

My first Final Fantasy game and to this day is still my favourite. =)

I completely agree with Kandy here. I know a lot of people who love the game just by reading the posts here and in other forums. It gets enough attention and praise - just not as much as FFVII. As for the voice acting, I quite like it. The voices seem to match the characters, especially Wakka. I couldn't imagine Wakka having any other voice, 'ya know?' On my first playthrough I hated Tidus' voices, but I played the game a few months ago and recently completed it, I learned to appreciate it.

I also think FFX gets plenty of praise.

Agreed, It gets enough praise to do the game justice but not enough to blow it way out of proportion. However, with that said FFX is arguably one of the most popular games (probably right behind VII) in my opinion.

Personally I love the game, I rate it as one of my favourite FF games. I loved everything; the battle system, the storyline, sphere grid, characters etc.. I also liked the voice acting, sure there were a few odd moments, but as a whole I think the voice acting was done very well.

I honestly think the opposite. It is a GREAT game, no doubts. But it is the only FF to spawn a sequal, obviously it was appreciated.

I too have to agree with the above posts, although I think it depends on where you're looking for praise. On Final Fantasy sites you'll generally see that FFX is very well recieved and in some cases more so than VII. However, if you look on gaming sites FFX is in the shadow of FFVII mainly because of it's whoring rather than how good the game actually is. I have to agree with Hal, I didn't mind the voice acting, Tidus seemed a bit off at first but as you went through the game his voice became one you just got used to and weren't bothered about it from then on, the graphics were indeed amazing for the time of release, the story and background of characters were amazing and the battle system and sphere grid were top notch.

I think it gets the perfect amount of praise. :awesome:

Me personally I feel that FFX gets just enough praise that it recieves. And I'm glad that they dont go overboard on it like FFVII. Because I like this game alot, and if it goes overboard with sequels, spinoffs, etc I feel my liking for this game will go away for apparent reasons. The only thing I hated was the easiness of it. Its basically saying "Here follow this red arrow to the next area and complete the given tasks, then move on to the next red arrow." There was no challenge in guessing where to go, because you didnt have to guess. The only real challenge in knowing where to go was in the temples when you have to complete the Cloister of Trials, and even almost all of those are easy. If they made it more difficult it would have recieved a perfect 10/10 for me. I give it a 8.5/10

I don't think it doesn't get the praise it deserves, FFX is actually very popular to the point SE made a sequel to it. This is one of my favorites FF games, story-wise and character-wise. It introduced to me a different leveling system, voice acting (which I didn't think it was that bad, although it took me a while to get used to Tidus' voice) and great graphics. So I think it gets just the right, sane amount of praise for a game. :monster:

As Mitsuki mentioned, the game does get alot of praise just not as much as FFVII. Which is a good thing, the game doesnt need anymore over hyping. It got a spin off, which got mixed reviews from fans of the series. It turly is an outstanding game and imo, stood out due to it voice acting and unique storyline.
