Help Double Cut? Disc3?

I screwed up and didn't go to the plain in disc2. I never fought reno and rude and have already beat the sister ray.

So, can I now get the double x cut materia or am I out of luck?

I'm pretty sure you can still go to the crashed Gelnika during Disk 3. You just won't see Reno and Rude there. All of the items will still be on the plane though I think.

Hey, thanks for the help man.

Ya, I went back there again and I cant find the damn thing anywhere.

I was reading in a walkthrough that you get Double Cut, few other things, then fight reno and rude. After the fight you go back into the room and the chest have reset and you get Cid's Limit 4 (Highwind) and a few other things, which is what I got the first time I went their on Disc III.

So, I'm thinking I did miss out on it (@#!!), but just making sure and open to any ideas from anybody.

I have a Slash-All Master, but man do I want that Double Cut!

It's in the same room as the conformer. It's the room with the catwalk. Here's an excerpt from a Gamefaqs faq:

"Save your game and open the chest to receive Heaven's Cloud. Enter the room just above the save point. The upper walkway leads to a Megalixir at the top. Go East from the door and open the chest to find an Escort Guard. Downstairs in the upper left corner there's a hidden chest containing Yuffie's bestweapon Conformer. At the upper right you'll find the Double Cut Materia.Leave the room and save your game. Head West..."

It's been awhile since I've played but I think it's command materia so it should be yellow. And I'm pretty positive I got it on disk 3 before.

Yeah its hidden in the corner. I remember just running to the left and right corners of the room and getting both the conformer and double cut materia. Its not in the room with the highwind limit break and hades materia.

what he said. Ive had it on disk 3 before. I had no idea the crashed Gelnika was THERE until disk 3 until I went exploring the first time I happened across it, you're just not seeing it because its squirrelled out of view in the right hand corner, but it IS there

O ya felles I found it. Got it up to 4x cut pretty quick in the northern caves.
Dont believe I lived without it that long cause 4x cut is bad to the bone.

Took down ruby the other day too!

Yes you can, I didn't get mine until the part with the north crater. Also level it up for 4x-cut. Makes you as close as invincible as you can get with untima weapon.
