Easy....?

What the?? i could swear ive posted in this thread.
Anyway no FFVIII is really easy, just learn the abilities that let you refine magic from items and your sorted, by the end of the first disk my squall had like 5000 hp or something. On a first playthrough i guess it could be seen as hard as junctioning takes a bit of getting used to but once you have learnt the basics your on your way. One of my favourite things about this game now is that its so easy to make your team super strong, i really enjoy wiping the floor with seifer every time I fight him.

I found the game to be pretty easy in all honesty. Thanks to the junctioning system allowing for stats to be beefed up with relative ease, i basically powered through the game quite easily with only two fights i found to be challenging, which were Diablos and Omega.

the hell? didi i read that right?

*8 YEARS....8YEARS?!!! thats rediculous and you havent even beat Omega weapon yet unnacceptable! Qaure et vester Inquesta? :holyshit: As a first time experience FFVIII is a great romp with the better system of leveling up the monsters with your poarty level it always gave a decent challenge most of the time but cuuting the line at Ultimacia is not very good next you should try doing the renzokuken on Ultimacia without the trigger guide?

Hmm, FFVIII wasn't really that hard in my opinion. Sure there was some challenges (in the form of Omega Weapon) but other than that, the final boss wasn't too tough. Just alot of watching the Lionheart Limit Break going over and over, Zell's Armageddon Punch smacking Ultimecia over and over...

I found FF8 to be the easiest of the lot, the bosses are relatively easy (If your Junctions are up to date). The only real challenges of the game are collecting all the cards and beating Omega. But it has some pretty good graphics even compared to some of today's RGP games.

I've played FFVIII two times all the way through. The first time i found it pretty tough. really tough actually. I f*&#in hated ultimecia. I could not beat her for the life of me. It's probably becuase my first playthrough, i relyed mainly on summons. I spread them throughout my party and used those an immence amount. WHen fighting ultimecia i found out that i was screwed. when i attempted omega weapon i got smashed to the floor. On my second time playing, I found the game quite easy actually. On that one, i junctioned my summons to three characters only and switched junctions whenever i needed to level up or something. I also got 99 of the magics junctioned. I got smashed to the floor with omega but i finally beat him :)

It was RLY easy afterwards, but the main thing that bugged me is that there is no quest log, especially 4 the side quests!

elaborate please - im struggling to grasp what you mean or what it has to do with FFVIIIs dificulty, thanks

Overall, the game was easy to me as well as many others think.
And some here and there's was like, okay that was a challenge but it wasn't that diffucult to get through the game.
I'm not trying to dawg ya or anything Kyoko-Zelch but that's what i think.
and if it was too hard the next time you play buy the offical hand book thing. I bet that will help ya a bit ;)

No, I found this game to be very easy. Although it is my favorite (partly because it was my first) there is not a lot of challenge to the game. It is pretty straitforward -- Once you have 300 Aura you are basically set so long as you played cards and have Card RF.

I will say that, while the game is lower than the mean in terms of overall difficulty, it is significantly difficult in several respects: The final boss gamut is considerably difficult, as is Omega Weapon and the islands closest to heaven and hell. So the game is not without its isolated challenges, but overall is pretty easy

I thought it was kinda easy. I mean it wasnt hard, but it did have its moments. Ultimecia was a pretty hard/annoying boss battle. But it was really easy to level up, and it was really easy to get 100 of almost any magic. The card game got hard later in the game, and that made me upset too many times too count. I hate the 'All' rule. All in all it was an alright game that had just enought difficulty to make not want to quite right away.

I am just getting started towards beating it lol, it's not that hard a little interesting in compare to the others but nothing to bad yet. I know that the leveling can be a little dissapointing but on the whole I feel it's challenging but when I get a little bit better a grasp on it it will be mostly easy other then a few of the enimies.

I thought it was kind of easy, but that was only cause i used a game guide for basically the entire game lol =) without the guide you won't be able to unlock that many GFs and that's when it becomes a pain...Also, I got really really lucky on Ultimecia. I got my main party of Squall, Quistis, and Zell and with auto-haste on Squall and a cast of Aura on him I owned Ultimecia really quickly. The game would prob be much harder without a guide

I merely let any characters I didn't want die, because they are promptly replaced by another one. In the Ultimecia fight, I mean. That way I have all the GF's and all the good spells on just three primary people, and it's even easier that way.

I don't think it's like insanely hard level. For me defeating Ultimecia wasn't rlly a big problem though I'd admit that the final battle was rlly very long cause of the various forms. She had the first one. then Griever then merged all that. In addition, she had some kickass attacks like the one which just removes your dead character from battle permanant. Omega and Ultima gave me quite a hard time as well. But overall, it's still not a very hard game to beat.

I found it pretty easy. As long as you didn't level up too much then the enemies wouldn't get too strong because of the levelling system they used, if you level up a lot the last bosses will be crazy. For the last boss it only took me two tries cause I got the 3 people I needed the second time right off and they were the ones that I has like...super customized...my Squall was junctioned to the point where he could take 3-4 hits on cactaur island without anything else moving..and he was doing 9,999 damage...so like.l.not a problem for me. I loved junctioning:)

RE: FINAL FANTASY VIII - Too hard?

Well I don't know whats wrong with me, I've played every FF except for 3 and Ultimecia was tough everytime. I tried with a low level with not that great of magic and had a rough time. Then I tried with the best you can get characters and it was still difficult for me. So I give it a 10/10 rating on good battle. Ultimecia is a fair fight and well leveled.

Honestly? It was more like On the Medium side. If you over leveled and got all the powerful spells and all the Limit Breaks then you would've breezed through this game with total ease. But, if you went through the game with just normal levels it had it's challenging moments.

If you acquire Lionheart by the end of the game then I am sure you would've defeated the last boss with total ease. =p.

This whole game in general was not that hard for me. Only hard part was getting all the items, limits, summons, etc. That was the only most diffulcult part for me. All the other stuff was somewhat easy depending on which it was.

This game hard? Ya gotting be joking. XP

VIII is a very easy game to complete, heck all the FF's from VI are all bloody easy.

Try completing II or the DS versions of III and IV - now that is what I call difficult FF games. XP

I think it was way easy, just junction Squalls attack with some high magic and your set for the whole game basically. Not to mention able to use limit breaks whenever you please, and being able to basically turn off battles at will. (Encounter None)
