I'm confused as to how they even got out of the Temple before it became the Black Materia... but ok. I guess I'll just have to cope with the "Tseng miraculously escaped then was coincidentally saved by Vincent" train of thought. Maybe I should just replay the game until I can accept it.They were only tortured, Vincent saved them. He tells Cloud this in the Forgotten City right after Vincent comes to Cloud's rescue.
He says something like "they'd been brutally tortured, I did what I could to save them, but only time will tell."
The ofcourse you them both with Rufus, so obviously Vincent had managed to keep them alive.
Edit: Oops, I didn't read the thread thoroughly. I was thinking of the fact that Tseng was supposed to have died in the Temple of the Ancients. Yet, he's alive with Elena in Advent Children. Then the whole part at the beginning where they were ambushed and tortured. I can accept that Vincent saved them in the movie. That makes sense, considering the cheesiness of the movie anyway.
I wish I could. I don't get it myself. Is it just me, or did anybody else bother to notice that Tseng DIED in FF7?!
And -poof- he's back in Advent Children! Maybe they phoenix downed him, but why couldn't they do that for Aeris too? XD The whole Tseng's-alive thing confused me. Anyone care to explain?
