Cool air slides past your cheeks as you stare out over the airship in the night sky. The days travels had been tiring but for where you're going things can only get more interesting. You smirk as you see a faint glow in the distance. A light that could only be coming from Eureka Academy, a school for warriors, for the strong. It is here that you and your 500+ peers will learn the arts and skills to become successful in battle. It is here that you will learn spells that will rock cities and fight off armies of the invading Shade forces. For what you know of, this Academy has created some of the most powerful warriors in the land, and you'll need all the knowledge you can get in order to fight back against the ongoing invasion. With a firm grip on the side of the airship the floating island of Eureka Academy comes into view. Will you be able to rise through the ranks, push back the invading alien beings called the Shade and save this world along with many others? Only time can tell...

This roleplay is a reboot of the older Eureka Academy RPs that were enjoyed in the past. The whole EA universe has gotten a complete face lift this time around in order to keep things fresh and new. Here you are ab young student learning to become a warrior in order to salvage a world and other dimensions being ravaged by the Shade. It's up to you to take the classes and participate in missions that will help in the fight against an invading menace. You will be sent on missions to accomplish and reap rewards for your hard work. There are also classes to attend, new peers to meet, fighting to do, and at the end of it all you can either explore the vast campus or retire in your dorm. There will be nothing you can’t do in this world of Eureka and the Rpers create the stories in each "episode" section. There is a story this time around but it will not be heavily burdening the rp as it can still be treated as a type of sims thing, only with battles and magic and traveling to other worlds, and defeating creatures of all kinds!

The missions students shall be chosen in the student store thread and from there missions will be reserved and begun the next "RP Episode". Each mission will earn the participating student an increase in in candi currency, star rank(depending on participation), and ranking on the leaderboards(depending on mission resume). The more missions you participate in, the more powerful you become. Each week there will be new missions added of very different varieties, which the Rpers will experience in this wide, wide, world and beyond. Your character will get to make new friends here at the school and here on the forums so feel free to Rp as yourself!

The RP will take place in episodes because of the constant coming and going of roleplayers. Anyone can join and leave at any time in the story between the episodes. If you are leaving the rp while in the middle of an episode please feel free to make it known and your character will be put on hold for the next episode, or a future at at which you can participate again in you felt like it.

Helpful information about the school can be found in the student handbook linked above! Upon joining students will receive a student badge and a dorm assignment which can be viewed in the handbook. Other things such as mission leader boards can be viewed there as well. Teacher time slots will be available in another thread as well as the student store(which will be happy to accept volunteers)!

Here at Eureka the students dress in anything they like as long as they are wearing their student badges, which contain information of their house/organization, their name, and rank within school authority. Students get 1 star of general authority. Two stars are to be respected and three stars generally belong to those who run the school.


Biography Template
It is heavily advised to view the student handbook linked above if there's something you do not understand. ^_^ If you still have questions ask it!

Name: This space is reserved for your character's First, Middle(Optional), and Last name. If your character doesn't have a name and only has a title it should go here. If your character doesn't have a name or title give that character a name or title or use another character.

Age: The age of your character goes here. If your character looks much younger than he/she is please put range of looks(in human years) here. If your character is artificial(robot) this section is not required.

Title: The title of your status within the school of Eureka Academy. There can only be titles of Staff, Student Council, Disciplinary Committee, House Head(specifying which house in the area of study your character is in), and Student. If your character does not meet the requirements of his/her title(ex. a mage trying to become House head of the weapon and arms house) He/she will have their status reduced back to "student".

House Study: This refers to the curriculum of Eureka Academy. Whatever area of study you think your character will be in goes in this category. If your character is more of a mage warrior they will fit in the Magia House. If your character is a classic knight/martial artist type character they will belong in the Arma House. If your character's powers stem from both types of these they may choose to double major or choose the Dominus House in order to develop both abilities or their own unique abilities. Dominus House is also for those who cannot decide or whose powers do not fit in the typical "Mage" or "Knight" class of abilities.

Appearance: An image and a two paragraph(minimum) description on the looks of your character goes here. The image portion is optional of course but the text describing your character's looks is required. Keep in mind that two paragraphs are five sentences.

Personality: Take a couple paragraphs to describe your character's elaborate and complex personality. Just like above the minimum is two paragraphs.

Weapons: If your character carries or uses weapons please list them here. If they are made of a certain magical material or are enchanted please be sure to mention it here.

Skills/Abilities: This section is where you list a number of the skills and/or abilities your character possesses. The skills listed will be able to be unlocked with the gain of each star level(unlock new star levels by completing missions). The number of stars in a star level determines the number of skills a character can use. If a character has 4 stars in their star level out of 10 then that character can only use the skills listed in the #s 1-4 slots listed here. It is highly recommended to list your abilities in a balanced manner or from weakest to strongest. It is in that way that you can truly see your character grow and develop throughout Eureka Academy instead of being a powerhouse from the very beginning and getting bored. The skills that go in these slots include fighting techniques, spells, summon, psychic, any special power or physical ability your character uses in combat. If an ability is too powerful or has any chance of making a character invincible I will discuss the removal or revising of that ability.

Student ID’s will be made as soon as a student enrolls at our academy. Student ID cards often show necessary info of the students and their titles. It may also show the status of the student, for example if they are the head of a certain club, organization, etc. Teachers also are granted Student ID cards this time around. The ID cards will be grouped in the second post below this one in order of Sect/Title. Don't worry, I'll make your ID for you automatically once your necessary ID information is filled out along with an avatar/ pic of your character. If you cannot provide a picture, it will have a blank instead or a default ID male and female pics.^^

Checked it out...I liked it. I'm guessing this is open but, may I reserve a spot on the disipline commitee???

I had a character half done for another roleplay, but the character is much more suited to a student role rather than the Army officer role that was originally his archtype.

If not, I don't mind being a teacher if you need a spot filled.

Also I haven't seen you RPing much before so welcome. ^_^ Just know that if you commit to a role others here will tell you that I prefer active Rpers that'll inform me if they leave and wont just disappear. If you think you can handle that then be my guest. :)

Yea, i wanna keep Delijah and Escaflowne. May or may not keep Maya. She never got developed enough, though i still like the concept of her being oblivious

As for Escaflowne, since there is no student council vice president, the most fit role for Escaflown would be battle overseer. Im assuming that that job is to oversee all battles that may occur?

Designed by her creators to be the epitome of female elegance, Ophelia's appearance was modeled after her creator, Ophelia, and her physique from Gertrude. As such, she had both the attractiveness of Ophelia's defined brows, her comforting gaze as well as her dimples whenever she smiles, and Gertrude's slimness and height of 1.7m. The only difference Ophelia has from her two creators is her hairstyle, which she usually adorns with a lily (albeit an artificial one).

Her hair is, as with all her creators, black with a slight blueish hue to it. Her iris color is also borrowed from her creators, and is cyan. This iris color changes whenever she is in battle to a bright crimson.

Personality:
Ophelia is an introverted woman who prefers to stay with a small, but close, circle of friends than to associate herself with a wide circle of acquaintances. She can appear to be extroverted at times, spontaneously engaging in small talk with strangers but for her, these acts expend her energy, and she do not actually enjoy most of these social interactions. With her close friends, she is comfortable, and generally easy-going - perhaps some may say, to the point of being rather weak-willed.

With the problems that affect her, she prefer to be work with the end in mind. She is a big picture person who would prefer to accommodate herself to engage future possibilities than the finer details in the present. She considers these 'finer details' to be superficial.

Linking in well with this trait, she is a person who values objective criteria over subjective ones. When she makes her decisions, she gives more value to the logical conclusions than on the personal conclusions. She exemplifies this to such an extent that people have come to consider her to be particularly 'robotic' whenever she makes her decisions.

Weapons:
Stellar

This 0.7m long sword is made of the same material as Ophelia. As such, it is not possible for the sword to hurt Ophelia and, like its owner, it is also magical in nature. The sword has the ability to absorb a single incoming magic spell and be used to heal Ophelia (who due to her artificial nature, cannot be healed by restorative magic). However, the sword can only absorb one spell, and it can only be used once per day, hence it is more important for Ophelia to avoid being hurt than to rely on the sword's healing abilities. The strength of the healing relies on the strength of the spell absorbed. Spells that are too powerful cannot be absorbed, but it can be reflected. However, this will cause the sword to dissipate and to use it again, Ophelia would have to summon the blade once more.

When not in battle, Ophelia keeps Stellar in a pocket dimension which she can tap into after a second of channeling to open a portal into the dimension. Ophelia does not have to be remain in place when summoning the blade and is free to move.

Skills/Abilities:

1. Swordplay
Ophelia has been trained very rigorously in the art of swordplay and is able to hold her own in intense melee combat. She is particularly skilled in parrying her opponent's attacks, and less proficient in making offensive maneuvers.

2. Magical Outburst
Tapping on her magical nature, she supercharges her magical energy into a specific part of her body (depending on her choice) such that it creates a minor magical explosion that stuns and causes her enemies to stagger.

3. Acrobatic Maneuvers
Relying on her second skill and combined with her minor training in gymnastics, she is capable of acrobatic feats relying on both the little experience and the magical outburst to create the force required for those maneuvers. This skill also allows her to perform a double jump, allowing her to reach higher ground. It can also help her cushion her fall from high grounds, though it does not compensate for falls from extremely high ground.

4. Heightened Endurance
Due to her partially magical nature, she has a higher stamina that she can tap into in battle by activating her magical nodes. These allow her to last longer than an average human in battle, sprint longer and take more damage. However, when using this skill, it becomes more dangerous to use Magical Outburst or perform Acrobatic Maneuvers as the magical nodes may malfunction when the two skills are used simultaneously.

5. Chaotic Magic
Despite being partially composed of magic, Ophelia is not able to perform the same refined sort of magic that most in the Academy are capable of. While many of the mages in the Academy use magic that are fine tuned and well controlled, hers may be more powerful, but is much more difficult to control, or in some cases, simply uncontrollable. As such, the friendly fire rates are high with this skill, but it has the potential to change the tides of battle if it hits the opponent. This skill must not be used simultaneously with other skills as it will inevitably cause Ophelia's magical nodes to malfunction and cause the magic in Ophelia to go haywire (more explained in history). Healing magic do not fall under this ability.

6. Dual Functioning
This ability allows Ophelia to utilize two magical abilities simultaneously. However, Chaotic and Refined Magic still cannot be used simultaneously with any of the other abilities. To compensate for this, Ophelia is capable of switching between the abilities at a quicker rate. However, when switching out of heightened endurance, she will be hit with the full impact of the fatigue built up during the duration of that ability.

7. Refined Magic
This essentially is Chaotic Magic, but with much more control. It is, however, weaker. Under this ability, Ophelia is also able to perform restorative magic on organic allies. These restorative magic do not work on herself, unfortunately.

8. Improved Regeneration
Through intense magical training, Ophelia has improved her magical pool to allow for quicker regeneration. As her regeneration is completely reliant on her magical energies, she has also developed the ability to absorb magical energies from opponents.

9. Full Control
Reaching this level means that Ophelia is now able to utilize Chaotic and Refined magic with her other lesser abilities without any of her magical nodes malfunctioning. She also gains full mastery of all her abilities by this stage and is capable of switching between the abilities with an insignificant time lapse.

10. Magical Conduit
At this level, Ophelia has reached the full potential that her creators had made for her, to be a conduit for magic itself. In this temporary state, she channels the entirety of magic through her being and is able to use magic without a limit holding her back. Her regeneration is also improved to extreme states, allowing her to heal almost instantly from severe injuries that would otherwise kill an ordinary person (like decapitation; not that she grows another head, but that as the weapon makes it way through her neck, the wound closes just as the weapons creates it).

This, however lasts only 40 seconds, and she will be completely unable to use any of her magical nodes for any purpose for 20 seconds. She can regain her lesser abilities after 20 seconds, but will not be able to use this ability for the next 4 minutes. This cool down period increases two times with every usage. IE. Second usage: cool down of 8 minutes. Third usage: cool down of 16 minutes, etc.

History:
Ophelia began as a concept in the minds of her three creators: Ophelia, Gertrude and Rose. The three creators were masters of magic in their own right and they were the closest of friends. However, due to their dedication to the research and imparting of magic, they neglected their own lives and by their later lives, they had no children to speak of. As such, they decided they would make one for themselves. They visited an orphanage and adopted a newborn child and began their work.

From Ophelia, the child, a girl, was granted Ophelia's beauty in her childhood and her intuitive ability to use magic. From Gertrude, the girl was given her physique and her immense magical energy. From Rose, the girl was presented with a strong affinity with magic and the sword, Stellar. And so it would go on, for several years. The three masters of magic were satisfied with doing their work and raising the child who had grown to be a toddler.

Then the three had a new idea. It was to be their magnum opus, considering their advanced age by that juncture. Death was merely waiting around the corner so there was hardly any time left. They wanted to make sure that the child would have an immense power strong enough to allow her to survive on her own. As such, they began to implement an experiment in the child, creating magical nodes all over the child's body. It was a painful experience and one they did with the most hesitation that they have ever faced. But when it was done, the child's magical potential had become so immense the three was sure she will survive with ease.

However, being a child, she lacked control over the magical nodes. Furthermore, the freshly made nodes all over body caused her to be ostracized outside of home. She would return home crying and extremely reluctant to leave her home. The three masters were very concerned with this, but there was nothing they could do. However, one day, when the child was again ostracized by some other children, she accidentally unleashed the magic inherent in her being and became the magical conduit the creators had designed her to be.

At her tender age, she could not possibly know how to control the sudden surge in magical powers and as such, it ran rampant, wrecking havoc on the town. The three masters of magic had to come in and at the cost of Rose's life, they manage to suppress the rampant magical energies. This incident caused the two masters and the child to be chased out of the town. The remaining three settled in a neighboring village and it was there that the two masters decided it was necessary to restrict the child's power until she develops enough to unlock them.

Using the rest of their magical knowledge and powers, they locked the child's abilities and separated it into 9 key stages that she would have to go through. This, combined with recovery from the node implantation allowed the child to live a normal life up until she was 12. It was around this time that both her masters, due to their ages, began to become seriously ill. Ophelia was no longer able to walk and Gertrude suffered from dementia which caused difficulties in various areas of her daily functioning. It was at this age that the child had to become the caretaker. Her burdens eased a little when Gertrude passed away in her sleep.

However, for Ophelia the magic master, she knew that her time was coming, and while the child had grown to become fairly independent, living alone was not something she can feel secure about - especially after having suppressed all her magical abilities. The magic master realized she had to send the child somewhere that would work on her abilities and ultimately allow her to gain full control over the abilities that she possess in her being. As such, with the last of her strength, she wrote a letter of recommendation to the Eureka Academy and sought entry and accommodation for the child.

The response was a positive one, considering the magic master's reputation as a renowned user of magic. The parting between the master and the child was a tear-filled one, with the child leaving only after the carriage driver dragged her away. The child was crying and screaming throughout the whole journey until when she finally reached Eureka Academy, her voice was too hoarse to produce anything audible. Yet in the Eureka Academy, she would not sit still. Several attempts were made to escape the Academy but none of these ever succeeded, especially with interference from the DisCom of the time.

Her attempts only stopped after she received a letter from the village chief notifying her of the magic master's passing. For the rest of the month she was cooped up in her room, eating little to no food. Her class attendance rates became so low that the DisCom was called to investigate the case and it was there that the then DisCom Head took to consoling her and taking care of her personally like a mother would with her daughter. Slowly, the child began to recover from her emotional hurt and began participating in classes normally.

She also began to adopt the DisCom Head as a role model and strove to join the DisCom, working extremely heart in order to make it into the Committee, especially after the then DisCom Head had passed down the position when she graduated. After several years of hard work, she finally made it into the DisCom as one of its Rule Enforcers. While not the head, she was more than satisfied just for simply being in the Committee as did her role model before her.

I'm quite intreagued, Oli. I've been practicing both planning RPs and being in an RP all summer, and I think this sounds like a good beginner RP. Now, do I have to ask for a reserved spot if all I'm planning on being is a student? :hmmm:

Ah okay then! I had her set to events since it wasn't specified. That's been cleared up now! Battle overseer is something like that but with a little more responsibility. This member takes charge of all missions and schedules new missions to add to the rosters daily. Basically You'd run a branch of the student store when assigning missions. It's a full on responsibility, but it helps the Rp move smoothly. ^_^

The bio is just fantastic though, and you actually used the ability section the exact way I meant for it to be used! This is already shaping to be a great RP with fantastic characters. as soon as you get me a pic of her I'll create her student badge in a jiffy!

Thank you I'm glad you have interest. And the whole EA series was kind of intended as a beginner RP and turned into this. Student spots do have to be reserved, as I'm not trying to have a crap load of people just joining and disappearing never to be heard from again after their first post. Nevertheless I have reserved a spot for you and there's plenty of spaces left. ^_^

Sure sure. I can handle that. If I have to leave, I'll inform you of the decision and reason.

Also, seeing as my bio is already in the making, I'll have it done by the end of september... Or the end of the week. The only problem would be in the history- I have ideas for that already.

However, I was planning on adding spells with incantations for my character(Lightning/electric )- shall I send you this list for review?

That's the thing- I haven't finished the list.XD

But I'm going away tonight, to my sisters house, and since she doesn't have internet, I can just work on this bio, my character and his abilities.

Just perfect. All Stuco positions & Discom positions are filled. Arma and Magia House heads are needed as well as a few teachers but it looks like a good turnout for the most part. ^_^
