You know I'm glad I came across this post, the interview was informative. and I didn't even know that SE basically told them to stop the black mages due to the name association. I have all their black mage CDs and they were signed by the big man himself.

SE was still selling these like hot cakes in GamesCom 2015/2016. so for me, it's strange SE would do this.
Especially after Nobue san still made music for SE way after this.

If u ask me a bad call from SE on their part, but ofc Nobue just renamed their band and kept rocking!

The mans a legend and without him, FF would not be the same.
