okay from what i have searched i could not find a thread on this awesome TV show, also i was going to create a club for this but this will probably be easier. So yeah.

WELCOME!!!!!!

too the F.R.I.E.N.D.S general chit chat thread, here you can comment on episodes, post your favourite Quotes/Carachters (Main and Reoccuring) anything really to do with friends!
Have Fun!

Friends is the only TV show I can watch over and over again. In England here it is on E4 every day (double bills too), and although I don't watch it every day, I like watching it when I can.

It's also great to have on in the background when you're on the internet or playing on the DS or something.

I am very grateful that I am in the age group that got to enjoy Friends. There is something very special about it that no TV show will ever, ever have again. It is a cultural icon, and is very possibly the most memorable thing to come out of the 1990s.

gotta love E4 haha, got them all on DVD, was watching some clips on youtube a which is when i came up for the idea for this thread.

Chandler and Joey have to be my favourite carachters, Chandlers sarcasm is one of a kind!

I'm sorry in advance if this is supposed to be a positive-only thread, but I really did not care for this show at all, to the point where I do have to say something. My mom always used to have it on when I lived with her and it depressed the hell out of me growing up because I was never in a situation like that, with lots of close friends and lovers to hang out with all the time. I think if you're someone who is generally lonely this show is absolutely miserable because it can make you hate your life, and I have seen many other shows about groups of friends that do not do this. Again I'm sorry for venting but everyone at my work likes this show too and it always brings back sad memories for me so I just had to say something.

I always watched it if it was on, but i never went out of my way to watch it. I know when it first came out, I really didnt think it was funny at all, so thats one of the reasons I never used to watch it, in recent years Ive watched it more and enjoyed it, but again, Id never go out of my way to watch it, the brother loves it, got the lot of it on DVD. They do that many re-runs though, I diont see the point ever buying it.

Its good yeah, but....overkill

I've seen a few episodes of it, but I just couldn't get into it. Me and my friends do a lot of hanging out, but those kind of friendships just seem a little too imaginary.

Much rather watch Everybody Loves Raymond, Seinfeld, or Arrested Development.

I love Friends, it just makes me sad that my complete series DVDs are in PAL and not NTSC... =/

Also I'm pretty sure it's just Friends, not Eff. Are. Aye. Ee. Ehn. Dee. Ess.

:monster:

I never really watched this at all.

I did enjoy watching Joey but that's all I can really remember from when I did watch it.

I was considering watching a few episodes on YouTube and then if I liked it I was going to go out and buy the boxset. It was selling really cheap at Big W.

I'm always looking for more boxsets to watch.

Hopefully I'll be able to contribute more to this thread once I've seen more of it. Whether I like it or not. >.<

I've never liked friends, I just can't see anything good about it.
None of the actors have ever been in anything else except for Jennifer Anniston, and she only appears in romcoms because she has no talent.
It's not particularly funny, the thing I dislike most about it, is that it's too nice. There is nothing even slightly edgy or offensive about it.

I couldnt agree anymore with that tbh.
I did find it quite funny though but id rather watch scrubs or house, or still game which is far more my kinda humour.

these two.

its all very happy daysy and i just dont think its believable. the only thing that ever got a mild chuckle out of me were things chandler says and even then none of them were good enough to actually remember.

God I hate this show now. I use to love it when I was younger and I mean loved it. My room was just FRIENDS junk at one point. Now IMO, its over rated and just got annoying. I mean, how many series did they churn out of them, 10? God, there is a freaking limit lolz. It just sucks arse now IMO.

What a miserable bunch of cunts you all are!

Best show on T.V. ever. Constant hilarity and entertainment, never repeating storylines, fantastically lovable characters, something for everybody in every one of the episode, legendary quotes, memorable moments...and 10 brilliant seasons of it. I literally can't see one single thing about it not to love.

Thank god, Dave. D: I was beginning to think I was the only one.

I grew up with this show and I love it. I have all ten seasons and I watch it time and again, whenever I want a pick-me-upper. I agree with some people who have said that friendships like this are very rare, but I don't think it's non-existent. I thought it was (and still is) the best comedy series I've watched. I found a lot of variety in their jokes and puns. I still haven't found any new series that can match up to this for me.

I LOVE FRIENDS!!! The only show that I can watch many times and still laugh my head off LOL Phoebe and Chandler are my favs!!!
