XBox Fallout 3

Finally someone who has played the other games:P

And lets hope your right, the adverts certainly make it seem like an amazing game anyway.

There bringing out A guide so i would think that it tells you about all the side quests and things like that.

Not long now, all you lucky Australians out there get to play it before everyone :(

Not sure that I buy it... I am choosing between this and three other games, but I think Fallout is the right one to get ;) Anyway I love the series. Haven't played first part much but second rocked... completed it inn dozen different ways. Hope that Fallout 3 will be as cool as Fallout1 and 2 but with many enchantments. And now when it is done by Oblivion creators I hope that I will feel a bit Oblivion in it too :)

Well from what i've heard it's meant to be the best game out this year i'm not sure if i should belive it or not, i suppose i'll see tomorrow (if HMV deliver it on time) and if not i'm sure a few more days won't hurt.

And Yeah i think a feel of Oblivion would be good but i'm looking forward to the vastness and just the idea of roaming around a war torn city more so.

EDIT: IT CAME ON TIME!!!!

This game is going to be so great its not even funny. I played the second Fallout game and it was pretty good, but now that they are incooperating that style with the style of one of my most favorite games "Oblivion" i am sure that this will be the best game of qaurter 4... Only competition is Fable 2 ><

This game is indeed great, ONE of the best games of this year but by far not the best. While great it is still very disappointing. And although I love my PS3 the most out of every system I highly recommend NOT getting it for the PS3. This version crashes many times, the graphics are jagged compared to the others and it will not get downloadable content like the PC and 360. At the moment I am also having problems because my video card keeps going crazy with it and the screen changes colors.

I am very disappointed but hopefully they can patch it to be a greater game.

This game is AMAZING! get it, get it, get it! The post apocalyptic world is captured brilliantly with the visuals and music. Firefights are awesome fun with the turn based style V.A.T.S., and the gore! oh the gore... Just get the game and see for yourself. By the way, I havent experienced any bugs so far.

I agree with the above i've played it for 8hours straight and it is absolutly amazing it's everything i want in a game, the graphics are so crisp ans smooth and so far the gameplay and the vastness of the quest i've been assigned have just been amazing.

And I got it the other day. sorry didnt mean to double post. Its a great game, Im enjoying it so far and the interaction in game is brilliant.

I never played the previous games because I have never been a PC player (With the exception of Diablo and occassionally WoW).

I bought my copy the day of release, and it should arrive by post today (fingers crossed!). It's a public holiday tomorrow, so if all goes well, I'll have the entire day to play it. This game looks phenominal. Beyond Oblivion and much more than an RPG with guns. The VATs system is such an interesting twist, and the level of choice throughout will be mind blowing.

I've got the tracking number for the parcel this was shipped with. The FedEx site is open, and I keep hitting the refresh button so I know the moment it arrives in town.

I'll be picking this game up for xmas.
Looks amazing. I admit i loved oblivion, but this game looks so much better to be honest :D

So, I got this game a couple days ago, and am absolutely loving it. It does take a few things from Oblivion, and though it makes me feel a little less overwhelmed with things, it disappoints me a tiny, tiny bit as everything isn't entirely new. It's bittersweet.

The VATs system is really fun to play with. I have only been playing for a few hours though, and have only used it with less-than-unique weapons. It'll be extremely entertaining once I can shoot teddy bears or nails at Raiders head's.

I'm enjoying the voice acting and dialogue. Apparently, it's far less repetitive than Oblivion was, which is a positive. I'm also enjoying the choice to search dead corpses, one of my favourite parts in Morrowind and Oblivion. Killing Burke and wearing his "Dirty pre-war business suit" is fantastic.

The only complaint I have thus far, a minor one at that, is not knowing who's attacking/shooting you immediately. I sometimes find myself rotating the camera for several seconds, if not more, before I realize where the enemy is (half the time I only find them because they were running towards me while attacking) and am able to react. Thankfully, the VATs system generally helps make up for that.

Overall, I'm very impressed with Fallout 3. Can't wait to have a chance to play it for more than an hour per session...

I absolutely love this game. The first two were classic gems and I loved Oblivion... Fallout 3 blends them perfectly. While I could certainly nitpick, my only real problem with the game is the ending. When you finish the game, you cannot play past that point and/or leave the room in which the game ends. I lost my first character that way.

Speaking of, character creation is probably the best thing about the game. Every skill point you invest in your character makes him/her more and more unique. My first character was a well rounded fighter with a specialization in small arms. I frequently changed between a combat shotgun and a hunter rifle depending on my range from the enemy. My second character was much more focused on lockpicking, repair, and energy weapons... I created him to look like MacGyver. My third character was "Bruce Lee" and so I made an asian male with mopish hair and boosted his unarmed skill. I had to make the "yeaha!" sounds myself though. Nothing says badass like kung powing a feral ghoul in the chompers and watching him fly backwards.

The same exact thing happened to my brother. He wisely saved before progressing to the end, but didn't realize the door locked behind him. The main quest is relatively short, but losing all the work you've done on the side makes having to start over a bit more painful. Fortunately, he made it to that point before I did and warned me. haha

But yeah, the game is downright awesome. Great use of humor in a pretty grim world. I don't think I've played a game that's more violent or heavy on gore than Fallout 3. Aside from getting trapped at the end, my only complaint are the numerous glitches I keep encountering. I've randomly lost the weapons in my inventory several times. Once I reload the file, they magically reappear.

Yea, the game does suffer from a variety of glitches. I have yet to encounter one an old save can't fix though. Suicidal Megaton-ites, landscape glitches at night, enemies clipping through walls are frequently reported glitches. Probably the most common glitch I see is upon re-entering a room and seeing dead NPCs either stuck in walls, spazzing out, or my personal favorite... being hurled across the room.

You also have to love some of the irratic gameplay provided by the havok system when it isn't malfunctioning. Nothing says "wtf" like seeing a pack of raiders getting blown up because one of them fucked up a 'nade chuck and accidentally blew up the car they were all crouching behind. lol

Check the link for Fallout 3 haha's

Right although this is a IMMENSE game it's starting to annoy me i keep getting OWNED by some sort of crazy assed mutant called DeathClaw, i can't run away cause he's to fast but he seems to be where ever i'm going, mainly in the northen regions but has anybody else ran into this titan if so have you killed him of did you get granted the same fate as i did?

Hahaha Ah yes, the deathclaw. You're near Old Olney. Shoot for the legs to slow them down. Once you cripple a leg, then shoot for the head. They're fast, tough, and they can kill you in a hit or two. If you're below level 12, I wouldn't even go near them on Normal difficulty. Two points of interest in your area. Directly to the west of Old Olney (town), will be Vault 92. This will be a place you visit for the quest Agatha's Song. Also, in the deathclaw infested sewers of Old Olney is the Medical Power Armor, which automatically injects you with chems to help you in battle.

Now because I'm a nerd and I feel you must know, the deathclaws have an interesting history in the Fallout series. Actually, all creatures do because none of their backgrounds are the same. Anyhow, deathclaws are jackson chameleons that the government performed tests on before the great war (aka - when the bombs fell). During the course of Fallout 1, these creatures were only believed to be traveler's tales. When you meet Harold (yes, the same one as in Oasis), he tells you of a cave with a Deathclaw in it. You can choose to go and kill it as part of a sidequest. In Fallout 2, the Enclave had begun experimenting with deathclaws and the FEV virus. Successful tests actually caused the deathclaws to become domicile and develop elementary intelligence. In Fallout 2, Vault 13 is actually the home of these intelligent peaceloving deathclaws.

Death claws can be a bitch if you are not used to them, but they are also one of the most easy mobs in the game if you are. Just back up while fighting them, you can take out a pack of them without getting hit.

I wish the game really looked as nice as it does in Aztec's sig. I would drool over it every second I played it.

wow Aztec, you know a good deal.
I love the game, been playing non stop for days.
What I don't like is the usual freezing up.
OH! and when I walk over skeletons, they tend to flail upwards and kick me in the groin,
dealing HEAVY damage, no joke!
I died once because of a freakin skeleton that was just laying there!!!
WTF SRSLY!
I'd like to add you as a friend Aztec, if you don't mind.
