Fast food, love it or hate it?

I watched Super Size Me in class. After watching the movie I wanted to go to Mc Donalds, seriously. I'm weird. xD

I only eat fast food twice a month as I like to be healthy, and I mostly eat healthy stuff with unsaturated fat like chicken and fish with lots of vegetables. In Norway we only have Burger King and Mc Donalds, so there's not a lot of options to choose from when eating fast food. But yeah I like to eat fast food twice a month, nothing more. I watch what I eat so I do not eat a lot of fast food, and I also have a slow metabolism so I gain weight easily if I don't eat healthy.

Eating fast food is okay, as long as you eat it in moderation, don't do like the guy in Super Size Me and the others in the movie who ate there everyday and had no clue about how damaging it can be if you eat it everyday.

I eat out at least once a week. Carl's Jr. for me though. And I only ever do it if I'm really hungry and I don't get home until 9 in the evening. :sad3:

Subway I think is a great alternative to burger joints. Healthier, you get better options, and in my opinion still tastes pretty good.

I love it! Matter fact I just let my mother and sister on a errand to get me a big ass menu from BURGER King...I cant wait son !!! yummy tasty burger..Wendy Testaburger.

I think I'm one of few people who genuinely dislikes fast food. >_< My mum has always given me home cooked meals and rarely let me have things like McDonalds. I was aged 9 when I realised that the fries at McDonalds were too salty and the nuggets didn't taste real. :lew: I only enjoyed the food there for the toys. I tried the burgers once and they were HORRIBLE. They tasted plasticy. :gasp: I tried a milkshake at KFC around the age of 5 and remember hating it because it tasted synthetic. :wacky: Things like chinese is just a bit greasy and...well, since I'm pretty much vegetarian (I eat fish but nothing like gelatine), options are limited and lack flavour. :hmmm:

When it comes to things like Subway...well, I've never had one. It smells divine, but I've really started to dislike most bread because it's stodgy. :hmmm: I also love having a lot of salad and protein with each meal and the vegetables always look like they've been sitting around. :sad3:

I do enjoy pizza... Quite a lot. :wacky: However, tend to avoid it because I was overweight when I ate it often. :sad3: I looove a lot of tomato sauce and less cheese on pizza. The focus must be on tomato! :wacky: The thickness of the base...well, I prefer a thinner one so I can eat more slices with more tomato and less stodge, but I don't DISlike medium bases. :hmmm:

Believe it or not, I'm not a particularly fussy eater. Aside from meat, I will eat pretty much anything in balance and do enjoy most foods. I LOVE all vegetables (bar radishes), fruit, fish, pulses, wholegrains, nuts, yogurt and mild cheeses... I just hate the taste of fast food because of how imbalanced it is nutritionally. The focus is generally on carbs and fat, with lots of sugar and salt. :sad3:

Growing up as a vegetarian, I didn't, or rather couldn't, eat a whole lot of fast food. Burgers have a lot of things I don't like, that make them a burger.. like mustard, pickles and onions. But I don't really like beef anyway either, so I rarely eat them. Oddly enough though, the only burgers I'll eat are from A&W.

Chicken and KFC oh GOD. When I first had KFC I knew I wouldn't be a vegetarian again. Granted, it's not REAL chicken or REAL meat, but the crispyness.. sweet jesus. :ryan:

McDonalds doesn't offer anything spectacular, just good fries and garlic mayo. If I could get garlic mayo anywhere else for fries I wouldn't need that place.

The majority of fast food restaurants are in one town, 40 mins away while I work/live partially in another that's more of a resort town with fancy restaurants. So I'm always buying groceries and doing my own shit. However whenever I go to the other town with the stuffs, I'll almost always go out for McD's or Tim Hortons or A&W because I dont get much of a chance, and just indulge.

I love fast food... but after almost dying due to a gallbladder problem that could have been caused by it, I really slowed my intake of it. I'm not one of those extremely fat guys, but I am a bit above average, but since cutting it out of my diet, I've lost a bit of weight. But I do still eat it from time to time. Sometimes I just want a quick bite to eat and I cave in. But it's only once or twice a month that I do so. Another factor on why I don't eat it as often is because I know a certain someone will kill me if she finds out. :wacky:

I like eating fast food because i am a lazy fatty fatty fat fat.
I like macdonalds the best because it tastes the best. But I also like KFC. Though there is not really much else i will really eat when I come to think of it.
Cooking is not something i am good at so last year I would go out and eat a lot of junk food. Now I don't eat it so much.

I find that I really enjoy eating it but after I am done I tend to feel quite sick and gross. Probably from all the fat and processed shit in it. So yeah, I usually regret stuffing my face.

I eat pretty much nothing but subway now, well not all the time but every time i go out. Once in a great while though i do go to in-n-out burger. That shizz is off the hook, fresh fries, fresh milkshake, and last but not least fresh hamboiger. :wacky:

I love fast food, KFC, McDonalds, Hungry Jacks, you name it. But I don't eat fast food that often because I'm well aware of long-term health problems so often I would go to Subway for a nice foot-long sub...oh yeah:mrgreen:

It wasn't even Super Size Me that did it for me and turned me off of fast food, it had to be learning about the actual process of slaughtering baby chicks and making this indiscernible pink goo out of their innards and then mixing it in with ammonia--THAT bothered me. I've solemnly sworn off the stuff and now I absolutely refuse to eat it. It's been about a good 4-6 months since I've last hit up a fast food place (and there's quite a few of them around here). But I know that if I crave chicken wings, there's always the Amish Farmer's Market that makes some really wicked wings with bbq sauce on the side. Plus, they're very friendly, it's expensive at $10 or more for like 5-6 wings but in my mind it's worth the money you spend.

I will say though that these fast food chains have an ingenious way of advertising and marketing to the masses and they certainly know how to make their food deceptively appealing. There really isn't anything like the smell of freshly made fries and chicken nuggets--I totally craved it as a child. But I think, and my mother and I were discussing this the other day, that as a child you obviously aren't prone to the knowledge of how godawful the food is. I dunno, I just personally can't eat it and part of me inwardly shudders when someone innocently offers me like a burger or something. I can't touch it knowing what it's truthfully made out of.

I adore fast food's taste since it is so delicious.

However, afterwards, my guilt is so strong that I can't really enjoy the food :sad3: I only eat it once in a while and when I do it's after I haven't eaten anything all day. It's the only way I don't beat down on myself for being a fatty :sad3:

I eat fastfood, sometimes. Mostly because its fast and affordable(see: cheap). :ohshit:

I avoid it as it doesn't break down or degrade very well. They've actually shot footage of fast food breaking down in someone's stomach in comparison to organic / natural foods. Its like the experiment someone did where they left a happy meal out in the open air for 6 months and it looked more or less exactly the same as it did when it was made.

Its also fattening. And, tends to constipate you.

But, yeh, I eats it anyway.

Nah hate it. It's terrible. I've heard that Mc Donald's and KFC treats chicken and cows rather terrible too. They lock them in tight cages, with no leg room. It's abuse and they get away with it. Poor animals.

Also there's chemicals in the food that it's not only bad for weight gain but for your whole body; organs and all. It's like eating attractive poison. It looks nice on the menu picture but underneath the illusion is something gross.

It's better to stay home and cook your own food. It may take longer but it's better for your body and better for them poor innocent animals out there that can't do a thing.

Also Burger King got a award for most dirtiest Fast Food Joint. Do you really want to eat in a place that got a award for being dirty ? A place that serves food ? Hopefully not.

It's home or no go for me personally. I won't hate you for enjoying Fast Food but I will worry for your health.
:gonk:

Oh man, it's my guilty pleasure. Though recently I had an incident where my stomach did not agree with what I decided to eat (greasy fries from McD's). So I'm trying to stay off fast food for a while. How long will that last? Probably another week or so XD

I like fast food every now and then, but I really don't eat it that often. I like to cook my own meals, but sometimes you are really just too tired to put forth the effort and it's easier to just get something at McDonald's. The older I get, the more health conscious I've become. I've always had a fast metabolism, but I know sooner or later it's going to slow down so I want to practice good eating habits now.

I love fast food. But in order to stay healthy I dont eat it very often.. Maybe once in 3 months I go to MacDonalds but when I do I eat a lot..and I mean a lot. When I go to university Ill have fast food almost at my doorstep so I will have to practice self control I guess :).

I have it every now and then, it's alright. but i wouldnt dream of eating it every day. I think the only "fast food" I really like is Caesar's Pizza, but that's just because it's pizza. and even though the bread and crust sometimes have the texture of a purse when it gets cool, its still decent while its hot

but nothing beats a smoked turkey

You can bet your ass I love it. We don't eat it everyday so it's not like we're addicted to it. I think I like it so much because my Dad is such a horrible food maker person thing, that it's just like, wow!...... We have it every two weeks. We also have plenty of options around us too, so it's not the same thing every time. We also do fast food for special occasions. We did it for this past WrestleMania, and we're planning on doing it again for Summerslam. Anyway yeah. I like most fast food places too. XD

I honestly dislike fast food.

I prefer healthy home cooked food that is packed with vegetables and such.

I like that when Steve cooks he takes the time to cut off all the fat from the meat and makes sure everything is just right before setting it down in front of me.

Fast food places obviously don't care as much because they're just a bunch of teenagers who are getting pretty crappy pay and just want to go home ASAP.

The only fast food I do eat is Subway. However, I will only eat when it's busy such as lunch time because I know they have to keep replenishing the salads and such a lot faster. If it's late in the evening and it's quiet, I just know that the food has been sitting out for too long.

Steve loves cheap Tuesdays for pizza and KFC and I can't stand it! He's the cook so I usually just go along with his meal plan but Tuesday's shit me off because he loves his KFC and pizza. <_< I've decided these holidays that I'm just going to have to make my own meals on Tuesday's because I just can't stand eating that crap anymore.

I love fast food,

but only when it's a treat, ya know?

The recommended times to have it is once every two weeks. :gasp:

I'd much prefer a home cooked meal to be honest. :hmmm:

but I do hate how bad it is. :gonk:
