I don't think there's a thread like this out already. If there is, I won't be very happy. I remember making this thread in another forum once and people failed to understand it. But what I'm wanting to know that for each genre that you've heard of (could be a small variety of them or a very large list where half of them no one has ever heard of), I want to know your absolute favorite band - and song by them - for each genre you can think of. If you're very open minded when it comes to music, you may have a lot to think about (like me), but here are mine, to show as an example :

Acoustic : Stephen Paul - Greensleeves

Alternative Rock : Coldplay - Clocks

Electronica : Télépopmusik - Don't Look Back

Electropop : Hudson Mohawke - Fuse

Inspirational : Celine Dion - Because You Loved Me

Easy Listening : Antaeus - Byzantine Meditation

R&B/Soul : Shana - If I Was Her

Reggae : Stephen Marley - Jah Army

Reggaeton : Zion - Cuarto Nivel

Heavy Metal : Brian "Head" Welch - Flush

Jazz : Bobby Caldwell - My Flame

Screamo : Iwrestledabearonce - Tastes Like Kevin Bacon

Industrial Rock : Celldweller - Stay With Me

Power Metal : Blind Guardian - Battlefield

Latin/Hispanic : Ricky Martin - Spanish Eyes

Death Metal : All Shall Perish - Herding The Brainwashed

Pop : One Republic - All The Right Moves

Indie : Animal Collective - Summertime Clothes

Soundtrack : Peter Gabriel - Coming Down To Earth

Hip Hop : Paradiso Girls - Patron Tequila

Rap : Master P - I'm Bout It Bout It Pt. 2

J-Pop : BeForU - Ki Se Ki

J-Rock : Gazette - Discharge
