The Pikes Peak isn't a race car, is a prototype rally car designed for the Pikes Peak hill climb in Colorado. Its alot faster in Gran Turismo than in real life in case you didn't know.

My favourite race car is the Sauber C9 for achieving the highest speed in a Le Mans car ever. (the exceptions engines blew up due to overheating) The 787B won the 1991 Le Mans, but most race cars before 1989 were faster than nowaday ones; the long straight in Circuit de la Sarthe was cut off at two sections which forced managers of the cars to adjust top speeds.
