Just a simple couple of questions.

For X
-Which character's voice did you like the most?

-Which voice did you hate?

For X-2
-Favorite voice?

-least favorite?

Reasons for your answers be appreciated if you have any.

X
Favorite: Wakka: that Jamaican sounding voice was epic
Least: Tidus: A bit high pitched for my tastes and wanted me to throw my playstation through the television

X-2
Favorite: None
Least: ALL

Honestly, there was nothing good about it. Yuna had to jump on Rikku's bandwagon and start acting like a hyperactive school girl. Rikku was Rikku but managed to get more annoying. Paine sounded like she needed to get... yeah. A bit of fun in her life.

But the most annoying voice was Shinra. OMG :<

Favourite - Auron. It's hot. I never tire of listening to his voice

least favourite would be between Yuna and Tidus, but I think Yuna wins this one, it's just utterly appalling and I want to throttle her every time she speaks

X-2 - Favourite - Gippal. Exactly the same reason as Auron

Least favourite... I dunno, probably Yuna again

lol I never thought of Gippal. It's been awhile since I played and I don't plan on playing again for some time :P

But when you first meet him. I love that al bhed that says GIPPAL as he runs to meet the party.

FFX:

Favourite: Auron

To be honest, I don't find any of FFX's voicework to be outstanding at all. Auron's is just the best of the lot for me. The low, calm and collected voice he was given is definitely apt for his character.

Least Favourite:
Yuna

I never liked her voice at all. Her laughing with Tidus at Luca was just abominable. The one scene I had to mute the TV for. It's a weak kind of voice - almost as though she's ill or something. I know Yuna in FFX is not meant to be a strong, assertive character, hence this kind of voice, but still....

FFX-2:

Favourite:
Barkeep and all Hypellos

Yeah I know, the Hypellos appear in FFX as well as FFX-2, but I want to put them here somewhere. I just love how they keep pronouncing the "s" syllable with "sh". It gives them a unique linguistic element, much like how Ronsos have their own idiosyncratic ways of speaking.

Least Favourite: Baralai

I'm not going for Yuna here. I'm giving other characters a chance. Baralai's voice is just......bland. He's a Praetor - yet his dull voice gives him no air of importance at all. It's probably not fair to put him here, but I needed to put someone's name up. xD

I gotta defend Yuna here guys. Hedy Burress (her voice-actress) did a lot better in X-2. Far more natural and just genuine in its feeling. The problem with her voice in X was direction, not her actual acting.

I guess I'll give my choices now.

FFX:

Favorite - Auron.

Like many i found his voice excellent. However he was not just good as sounding like an old badass. He could sound impassioned too.

Least Favorite - Kimahri. It's just not anything. Tidus sounded like an annoying dork because he's an annoying dork. Yuna sounded like she did because her voice-actress was trying to capture her (Yuna's) Japanese persona.
But Kimahri...ugh. Actually, most of the Ronso are pretty bad. It's just that Biran and Yanke are funy in their horribleness.

X-2:

Favorite - Shuyin.
James Arnold Taylor = Great voice-actor. He did a wonderful job with Shuyin and finally put to rest all the BS that he sucks.

Honorable mention-
Nooj. George Newbern also does Sephiroth but who cares. His voice as Nooj was much better. Especially if you fight him in the Den of Woe.
"See you on the Farplane." One of my favorite quotes in X-2.

Least Favorite - Brother.
Spaz, spaz, spaz. And annoying too.
He has precisely one funny line in the entire game and every other line makes me want to rip off my ears.

Fav:
For acting: Wakka.
For general sound: Lulu

Least Fav:
For acting: Tidus
For general sound: Cid

X2

Havn't played this in a long time- can't remember lol.

FFX
Best: Auron, by far. His voice actor suited him perfectly in my opinion. Rikku was pretty good too.
Worst: Yuna. The way she spoke was irritating. Even though that wasn't really her voice actress' fault, it was still annoying. At least she got better in X-2.

FFX-2
Best: Gippal. I really liked his voice, I thought it suited him well.
Worst: Brother, I guess? I didn't think the voice acting was too bad in X-2 compared to X.

I might be alone in this one, but my favorite would be Rikku. Tara Strong is a good voice actress, she plays Raven in Teen Titans. I would've never guessed it was her.

So many choices, only one answer...Tidus. Yuna is a close second.

My Fave in X:

Auron and Wakka

Wakka and Auron were just epic :ryan:

I loved Wakka's accent

and Auron sounds hot LOL.

My fave in X-2:

Baralai and Gippal

Baralai just had such a unique voice I really thought he had an awesome voice.

Gippal sounded hot too :ryan: Especially when he spoke Al Bhed was like beautiful XD.

Least in X:

Tidus. I hate his whining. and his VA just sounded annoying. Sorry Tidus D=

Least in X-2:
Shinra
I just thought his voice was so annoying. It just irritated me the way he would talk.

My favourites were Wakka (got to love John Dimaggio!) and Paine, I thoguth her voice really suited her personality. Least favourites were Seymour (it suited him but there was far too creepy a quality for my liking) and Baralai- he sounded about 8 years old

From FFX

My fave is: Auron, he sounded badass xD and Rikku, her voice suited her well. I just liked her voice, it was less annoying than others.
Least: Seymour, he sounded... odd, creepy and annoying, and his laugh sucked. Yuna was pretty bad as well.

FFX-2 favorites:
Paine- She talked on a certain way that appealed to me.
Gippal- Too bad he didn't have more lines in the game. He sounded.... sexy >.>

least faves:
Lenne- I expected a different voice, I thought it would be pretty high actually but then such a dark boring voice came out.
Brother- His hysteric moments annoyed me.

For X
Best: Wakka, his voice did kind of sound like an islander and it was funny
Worst: Tidus was high pitched and it sounded like he was whining all the time

X-2 Best was Pain because she just sounded like a female Auron
Worst: Barali his voice just got under my skin.

I think all of the main characters sounded pretty solid to be honest. Probably the best being Wakka, but my favourite overall would definately be Rin hands down. As for my least favourite, again I don't think I can say one of the main characters, perhaps Tidus.. I certainly disliked Gatta's and Trommel's voices.

I like Seymour's voice. So evil and quite powerful.

I didn't like Tidus's laugh. That was so stupid and really bad.

FFX:
Favorite(s): Rikku. I loved her voice. It was cute and bubbly. It just fitted her personality so well. Auron's voice was well done too. It sounded so...badass!

Least(s): Yuna. Even though she's my favorite character in FFX, I did not like her voice at all. I hated the way she would pause between words and sometimes she would sound robotic. Her voice in X-2 is a big improvement though. Tidus' voice was okay, it would just sounded loud and obnoxious at times.

FFX-2:
Favorite(s): Paine. The way she spoke sounded so smooth to me. I remember the scene where she spoke in Al Bhed. So cool.:x3:

Least: Brother. Annoying. Just annoying. Everytime he spoke, I just wanted someone to smack him. Really hard. I just couldn't stand his voice.

Gonna have to go with this, I completely agree with everything you said, haha.

In X, my favourite was definitely Rin. I don't know why but his was one of the only voices I didn't have some sort of complaint about.
My least favourite would be Shelinda. She had that horrible, high pitched girly voice that I really dislike. It gets right on my nerves.

My favourite voice in X-2 would be Baralai (contrary to most people on here). I don't know why, I just like it... it's softer than most voices and I just think it sounds lovely :dave:
My least favourite was one of Leblanc's men... I think he was called Logos. Everytime he was on screen, his voice did my head in. It was so child like.
