Favorite Monster!

Actually, those bastards come in groups of three in FF IX. I had to run for my life. :gonk:


I've always liked Tonberries myself. They're so calm and collected while you're attacking them with everything you've got. And before you know it, you've got a knife in your gut.

I also love the WEAPON monsters, especially the ones in FF VII since they played a role in the story. I like the designs and they're always a fun challenge.
 
Those bunnies in FFXII, I always felt bad killing them, they were so cute, I'd feel so mean chasing them when they were running away from me xD

I like the little onion dudes as well, they lok so funny, as irritating as them ones in the sochen palace cave where (I think it was there) they were so awesome xDD

I like really cutsey monsters, especially when they turn round and hand you your arse (Ie those ram efforts on FFIX) you just sit there like o_O for about 10 minutes....not funny at the time, but still xD

Tonberrys, for they are epic. :gasp:

I remember when I first played FFIX. I saw the little guys, and I was all, "Aw, look how cute they are"...yeah, they were cute 'till they stabbed 2 of my 4 people and killed them.

Now that's a wicked combination. Deadly skill in a cute package. :awesome:

I forgot about Cactuars! They're so cute. I never killed the ones in XII. They were too cute. xD

Those bunnies in XII were cute too and very useful. They actually heal your characters. After I learned that, I stopped killing them.
 
I would say Moogle, except they're not monsters...

So, the Tonberry. Those monstrosities are perpetually calm, and extremely powerful. The first time I met them, I was like, cool.... Until they killed my entire party. When the first character went down, I was like 'WTF'!!??

After that, I could never forget those guys.
 
*thinks long and hard* It's been so long since I've played FFVIII or FFIX. Yeah, I haven't gotten to play a lot of the older ones, and FFXII has honestly bored me to DEATH. And it's been a very long time since I picked up FFVII... I've forgotten where I'm going. It's my first run through the game.

It's a little tough to think of a favorite monster. I rather like the Coeurl, particularly the one from FFX/FFX-2. They're beautiful. They might not be the toughest, but I'd dare say they're the prettiest with some decent magic skills. The xiphos and their ilk I also tend to admire. I love those awesome-looking legs. When they first attacked me, I was like "Whoa! Hidden blades in the arms. Ninja monster! O_O "
 
My first favorite monster was the Cactuar, because they're so cute and make the funniest little sound.
Hah, going to have to agree with Bambi, the bunnies in XII were so adorable :).
My absolute favorite would have to be the coeurl. Even though their extremely powerful magic attacks drive me nuts when I'm trying to get across the Calm Lands, I think they had a great design. FFX's white/green one was my favorite.

Cactuar is awesome. He looks funny without being over-the-top ridiculous and has a cool attack (1000 needles). Too bad FFX-2 adds a lot of background to the creature, with the whole cactuar mother stuff. I liked them as the strange, quick running plants that just pop up out of nowhere (and give you 20 AP for a 1-hit-kill battle) as in FFVIII.
 
I have alot but a few just stick out in my head , 1 being catobleapas from ff8 , it just looks so fierce and the colours used for it are incredible!! , also Omega weapon from ff8 because lets face it , its an ultimate badass and you need to be seriously packing hot moves to beat it , also tonberrys are pretty cool , they are made to look cute so you will be caught off guard!! infact they are bad little bastards!!!!
 
Tonberry definietly! Gives little excitement when really need to fight for your life instead of hitting "Attack" all the time and watch battle rolling.
Exception in FFX-2 Via Infinito (those smaller ones), I was little bit disappointed when there was no need to pick up couple of bodies from battlefield.

The way they eerily come your way, all slow like, then unleash devastating attacks to you with their tiny knives make them fun to battle. They give me goosebumps sometimes :D

Cactaurs are great, too. 1000 needles was a great suprise and made the battles more exhilarating and tactical when I had HP below 1000.
 
Omega Weapon, Emerald Weapon, these two were FUN! The two most challenging fights from the games I've completed and they really made for some good playing, although once I figured out how to beat the two of them, they kinda let me down a bit, but still both pretty good enemies. :D
 
TONBERRY!!! DEFINITELY TONBERRY!!! Oh man...just the thrill from him taking a step towards you scared the shit out of me. It always got me thinking, "Oh my god! Is he gonna kill me now? NOW?! STUPID PENGUIN LOOKING THING!!!" But yeah. He was an awesome monster even though I thought it was kinda cheap that such a cute looking monster could deceive you with his looks and kill you in one hit...
 
Tonberries, because they had sweet looking attacks that could wipe out any party member that got too close. Coeurls because they are fast, strong, and have some ridiculously powerful special abilities. You can also use Coeurl abilities as a blue mage, which was fun.

Midway through FFII, you fight a Behemoth in a boss battle, while later in the game it becomes a random encounter monster. Just telling you what I know. :)

My favorite monster would be the Antlion. It made its first appearance in FFII (I think. Probably in I too, but haven't seen it yet). I loved its appearance in FFIX. I liked its attacks and shape.

It'd have the be the Wyrm off FFXII. Not only is he a badass dragon thing, but he has a badass ring around his head. Ring + Dragon = Win. Bahamut is a good example (FFX).
 
Cactuar has always been my favourite. I love how they're just sorta runnin' around doing their own thing. Their face is so innocent, you can't really tell if they're nervous or happy. But they're so silly, especially when you kill them. If I were ever to get a tattoo (doubtful), it would be a copycat of this:
