I was thinking this while watching Beauty and The Beast earlier. Everyone has a favourite Disney movie, but what's your favourite ever Disney song? xD

For me, it has to be Colours Of The Wind, in Pocahontas. It's such a powerful song, and I love how it's sung in the movie and how symbolic it is, really makes me think.

I also really love Beauty and The Beast and Be Our Guest from Beauty and The Beast, and Once Upon A Dream from Sleeping Beauty. xD

I know there's others, I just can't think of them atm. xD

That's a tough one. I love most of the older Disney movies and their songs. I do love Colors of the Wind. It has great lyrics and imagery.

My favorite is probably Circle of Life from The Lion King. The one that plays at the beginning of the movie, not the Elton John version (that one is good too though). The whole song to me is just perfectly put together, from the opening chanting through to the end. And watching the opening scene of the Lion King is just awesome.

Honorable mention goes to every song in Beauty and the Beast and The Little Mermaid. :awesome:

Part of That World I think it's called?

I loooooved the Little Mermaid and this is my FAVOURITE song. The voice actress was amazing imo. My favourite line is "what's a fire, and why does it -what's the word? - burn~"

<33

Also, another favorite is hakuna matata from the lion king,a bit cliche, but its one of those songs that lifts your spirits

Something's here I'm not quite getting
Though I try I keep forgetting
Like a mem'ry
Long since passed
Here in an instant
Gone in a flash
What does it mean?
What does it mean?

Jack's Obsession - The Nightmare Before Christmas

It was a great song actually :gasp: (On an offtopic note the song she sings when putting him in the reeds makes me cry v_v)

Disney (Classics) really have excellent, creative taste <33

It's Marxism all over again.

The Prince of Egypt wasn't Disney. :gasp: It was actually made by Dreamworks. That is a great song though. xD

I was forcefed the movie at least 49 times. The team used for creating Beauty and the Beast was also used for making the characters and animations for The Prince of Egypt. Additionally, so was the same composer for the non-lyrical tracks. Notice how Hotep and Hoy look exactly made from those two fatass imps from Hercules? Nope, prolly not.

Also, just because I can't elaborate on why I love a song so much doesn't invalidate my opinion. Not even Lord Golbez himself would presume to invalidate someone's opinion. You're saying that we have to have evidence that backs up our opinion under the guise of praise and in-depth reflection to make it a "viable post" or whatnot? Some posts don't need that kind of attention, tbh. 100% of the forum would agree with me if they'd voice what they truly think. Next time, I'll think about how valid my opinion is before posting it, considering it will inevitibly get scanned, processed, stamped, and either thrown into the shredder, or put into the manilla folder for later scrutiny.

Sorry, clearly you expect preferential treatment. In the future we won't ever point out that your posts are breaking the rules.

You just keep telling yourself that each and every rule has undergone necessary scrutiny and has been updated based on general behavior and track records of the average frequenter of FFF, Jesus. There's 0 logic behind putting thought and effort into judging the validity and solidarity of someone's post based on the amount of lines they took to post it.

Exactly, because it's not like we use our own discretion is it?

I love Disney movies, I recentry dragged my boyfriend to rewatch about 7 of them one weekend. XD

Some of my favourite songs are Colours Of The Wind - Pocahontas, A Whole New World - Aladdin, Part of that World - The Little Mermaid and Beauty and the Beast - The Beauty and the Beast. I just find these songs in particular are beautifully written and sung gorgeously. The imagery and words are just amazing.

My favourite Disney Songs are as follows:

The Little Mermaid: Under The Sea: I love this song. It's so funny watching Sebastian sing this song. XD It's lively and happy.

Prince of Egypt: When You Believe: This song is very touching and makes me feel like I could cry. Especially after watching the movie.

Anastasia: Once Upon A December: This movie is so lovely and this song Anastasia sings is just beautiful. It kind of makes you sad, because she can't really remember who she is when she's singing this song. I think when she sings this song she is walking through her old home (the palace) and a hint of a memory comes back.

Anastasia: At The Beginning: I love this song. It's so beautiful. It could relate to friendships or relationships. Either way this song means something to everyone.

Treasure Planet: Always know where you are:
I loved this song so much I even bought the soundtrack. XD It's really happy because the main character is finally at peace and has had the first of his journeys in life and made so many friends along the way. It's so nice.

You'll Be In My Heart - Phil Collins (Tarzan).
EPIC. I used to get shivers whenever I heard it.

Once Upon a December from Anastasia.
I wasn't a very big fan of the movie but the song is just beautiful. It is just such a moving song. The vocals are quite amazing. The lyrics are a bit strange but aren't most Disney lyrics?

Lion King - Just cant wait to be king

This song is just brilliant in my opinion. It's catchy, the actual video for the song is epic. The Lyrics are simple, easy to understand.

Mulan - Ill make a man out of you

I absoloutly adore this song and film, now for a male, thats a shamefull thing to admit.
The song is catchy, fits the story perfectly and is the kind of song that you can sing out loud.

"Ev'rybody Wants to be a Cat" from Aristocats is hands down the best Disney song ever. "Kiss the Girl" from The Little Mermaid was fantastic too though. Over all I prefer Disney music from the older movies back when they weren't afraid of a little jazz or calypso and stuff like that. The soundtracks of the newer Disney movies (Pocahontas, The Lion King) and stuff like that is just a bit bland in comparison.

Once Upon a December from Anastasia.

It's not a Disney movie ;)

Oh, mine's just gotta be Hakuna Matata from the Lion King. I love the others from Lion King, but this one stands out. Of course, the one sung by Scar during the movie comes as a close second (forgot the name, though).

My favorite would have to be the brilliant song "I'll Make a Man Out of You" from the movie Mulan. I loved this song so much when I was little that I would rewind the movie over and over to the part where they sing it. Other favorites of mine would have to be "A Whole New World" from Alladin, "Two Worlds" from Tarzan, and "You'll be in My Heart" from Tarzan.

I haven't watched a Disney movie in ages, but I can still recall some of the great songs that were in those movies. I only know the Dutch lyrics though (you can't expect young kids to know their foreign languages, eh?) I actually ahd to look up translations to see how the songs are called in English.

Some favorites are:

'The Bare Necessities' from Jungle Book (In Dutch, it was called 'What bears can teach you' which rhymes in Dutch for extra fun :P)

Hakuna Matata from the Lion King

You've Got A Friend in Me from Toy Story (I saw this one in English, so I actually know the original song :P)

A Whole New World from Alladin.

I didn't take inot account any songs by Phil Collins, since those are always good.
