Does FF or KH resonate with you in anyway? When I play the games, listen to the music, or just think about the two, a flow of energy rushes through me; and it feels really good. :D! It's hard to explain, but something about their stories and... just the games in general really speaks to me. Both titles touch my spirit. :)

I'm just wondering if anyone else feels this way; i've wondered if I was the only one for a little while now.

Well this is a Final Fantasy forum - I'm sure there are a few people here that like FF :awesome:

As for Kingdom Hearts, I know some people just hate it for one reason or another, but I absolutely love the series.

A cute gloss over a ongoing dark-ish story. Charismatic characters whether they're heros or villains - or both. It has the vibrant colours of Disney but still manages to have the JRPG appeal in design and gameplay.

I completely agree with you about the music. Yoko Shimomura is amazing - I'm always listening to at least one of her songs everyday xD

But more than anything, the central theme around Kingdom Hearts is friendship. Something that should be so face-palmingly embaressing to admit as an adult that I am just really gets to me and make my heart go all warm and gooey :3

I won't say FF or KH have ever had such a dramatic effect on me before. I recall the one time I felt utterly consumed by excitement was during E3 2006, when Square Enix announced the Fabula Nova Crystallis games. When I first laid my eyes on FFXIII, I can't describe how ecstatic I was. To me, the images looked utterly amazing.

It's basically the feeling of excitement that gets me whenever I feel anything like what you described. The feeling wanes once I know more and more about the games.

But the FF music is amazing, especially the work of Nobuo Uematsu. So far, I am really enjoying what I am hearing of the FFXIII soundtrack and theme song. Too bad we're ending up with Leona Lewis's song.

I really need to catch up on everything related to Kingdom Hearts. The story in KH just seems too overly convoluted and the characters rather too similar to actually resonate any excitement for me.

I'm glad to see that someone has similar feelings! The music is amazing! Oh, and don't be embarrassed. I think you can enjoy it no matter what age you are! :D!

I agree, FFXIII's music sounds amazing, although i've only heard one song. xD I can still tell the soundtrack is going to be amazing though not only based off of the song I heard (the one that plays on the official site) but because FF soundtracks never disappoint! :D!

I don't think I want to hear other songs from the game just yet; I kind of want to wait until the game's released.

FFXIII has always done it for me, it just looks an epic game, can't wait for it to come on, plus the music on it is some of the best I've heard from any game let alone an FF title. FFXII sort of did it for me because it'd been ages since FFX came out but I got quite bored of it, quickly.

I'm with Fusion on KH as well, it's a fantastic series. KH blew me away more than KHII simply because I thought the storyline was better, although I did get hyped with KHII and 358/2 Days :ryan:

I'm with you on FXIII. It does seem like an amazing game. Even with knowing so little about it due to the fact that it's not released yet, I still feel that energy inside of me. I hope they have a midnight release for it; i'm going to try to go! :D!

KH's music is good too! SE really knows how to pick good composers! :D!

You are not alone, Long :ahmed:

Their stories are a true work of art. The writers were able to deliver to us on a golden platter two of the most brilliantly written games in history. Both Series have garnered an extremely large and well deserved fan base that shares our views. FF VII and its compilation is full of a particularly great story that I wont ever forget :jess:
