Well ya know how the many worlds of FF try to seem more realistic? Well wouldn't it be more realistic if they had like FF drug dealers? That would be craziness! I mean think about it. The stuff the FF characters use now could in fact be illegal drugs! I mean honestly, that useful Phoenix down you're usin would probably be illegal if it can bring people back to life. And what's really in these potion concoctions? Really? These magical items could really be just powerful drugs that make the characters hallucinated and fight pretend enemies with bong weapons.

This theory would work great with the wackiness of FF8 and the memory loss. It would also explain the overexagerated moments in the FF game scripts. Okay now I dunno what this thread was supposed to be about anymore. I forgot....perhapse a little too many elixers?

I look at it through Star Wars.

SW had drug dealers (Spice primarily) and smugglers because the story was allowed to expand greatly to cover several centuries of time.

Not of the FF stories are allowed to grow to cover the various aspects of life, and therefore, criminal activity has to get shoved aside along with other real world things, in order to stay focused on the whole saving the world thingy.

But it is a good idea, especially for fanfics or something.
 
Phoenix downs illegal?! So that's why Cloud didn't want to revive Aeris! I could also see many others using suspicious activity, such as the main healers in the games. XD
 
seeing a person with the stop status effect may be a bit freaky like, just stood there, doing nothing.

also i don't think remedies would be illigal, maybe handed out at STD Clinic's, you know a potion that cures everything.

Doctor : "Don't worry sir, your syphilis is completely curable, drink this and call me in the morning"
 
Phoenix downs are really just a bunch of heroin shots that make people come out of comas, and potions are really just really alcoholic drinks that make people forget about their low hp and makes them think they have more hp

The heroes of FF are always going to shady shops, buying suspicious items...Who knows, Megelixer could be just a really huge bong. Haste status is for really Fuxed up characters. =D

I've always been curious about Gysahl Greens too...I've never seen a picture of them, perhaps it's a slang term for another type of green leaf? :hmmm: Maybe that's why Chocobos always seem so happy.

I'm sure that if that was the case, chocobo's would be more relaxed, and they would probably eat alot more,

i figure Gyshal Greens would be more like Ecstacy, they send those damn chocobo's into a hyperactive state
 
Though those blobs you always end up fighting or flans....those aren't really blobs, the characters are just really fuxed up on that "potion" or that new fangled drug Elixer
 
Final Fantasy got me into drugs.

Also, I believe that Final Fantasy is one really big DMT trip.

It makes perfect sence! The last FF they make,nateraly a movie of cutscenes, will show the true versions of each game!
In FFVII Aeris was an Elixer ho and tried to run off with her pimps Phoenix Down so he had to put her to rest to teach the rest of em not to steal his shit. That would explain why they couldnt reserect her to! and considering the price of some of these things ....I use to think they where drugs alot
