FFF Merge Progress

Merge with the other FFForums?

Our forum is not really dead, we have few members but those members or more active than any others you'll find. Why should we give up everything we've posted to 'join your site.' Why can't we have everything we've worked so hard for? No offense or anything, but we're not just going to join your site.
Also, I have spoken to a lot of members on the other FFF (coming from there myself) and it appears there has been a change of heart, that they don't really want to merge =/ So yeah, hopefully an admin will see this soon.

merging can be good or a really bad idea.
been there done that, not some thing i would do again...

well i think you should but then will we lose our status their like the adminasters and even the lower class people.
Ithink it would be an awsome idea but everybody their should be able to keep their level i dont want to go back to level one and my cousin raidersJD wont want to either.

If this is the case, the merge will have to be denied.
 
Well either way i dont think that it will matter if they murge but i dont think that they will. Most people on FFF are saying they dont want to which would mean it is not going to happen.
Not to much will come from this It is just an idea the two forums wanted to throw around to see what the members wanted.
 
In the end, it will be the decision of each forum administrators (and possibly the current staff) whether or not to merge. They will have to weigh up the feeback from each forum and come to a decision.

If we were to merge, the only thing I would be worried about is the existing threads, posts, profiles, etc. We have grown fast and it would be a shame to lose anything that has been done.

So we should go ahead regardless what other forum members on their side say?

The staff cannot go ahead with the merge if people are unhappy on both sides.
 
Well, my question is why do we have thier members joining and posting here when they can post yes or no on thier forums?

Well, it can't be every single member. Like I said, in the end it's up to the administrators to make the right decision.

JG, you're really not for this merger, are you?
 
The members from the other FFF are split. Some don't mind about this merge taking place, some don't want to do it at all and others don't really give a damn. There's been a lot going on, and speaking to both Joey and Josh, they said that it's a bad place to pull out of the merge now. However, Shadow13 is an admin there and it's his decision too. So, who knows whether this'll happen or not.
 
well, I still am against it. I have a feeling that spam will increase, inactive members will increase, and it will be more annoying.
 
Hypocrite, you spam all the time!

No matter what forum you're on, you will always get inactive members. Maybe we can introduce a thing where if you're inactive for a significant period of time, and auto-account-delete occurs. Just an idea.
 
I do not! Or at least not on porpose.

And auto deletion would be bad. What if they're on vacation. Or thier moving. Or their grounded from computers? Anyway, I think the site will have many mor epointless threads, spam, and annoying members.
 
TSG is right, no matter what forum you join you will always have members that become inactive or spam up the forum to cure their own damn boredom. If people are going to be away then they should let the forum know, thus a Leaving/Returning thread. Members can state how long they'll be gone for..etc. You'll get a topic like that if we merge as there is one, no point in having two. Then, if members seem to have disappeared with no intention of coming back, then you can delete ther acoount. Although I doubt an admin wants to go through about 300 accounts on this forum, deleting them one by one...

Exactly^ and there is a spamming place on this site anyway so why don't they just spam there?:huh:
