[FFIX] Why isn't mug working?

Uh, do you have the ability equipped...? :s

I have no idea why it wouldn't work otherwise
 
i have mug learned and it is selected in the abilities menu. I'm just supposed to hit steal and it should do it right?
 
If i remember correctly, steal and mug are two different selections, Mug should be in the skill menu during a battle along with steal. Your right when saying you have it selected in the ability menu where all abilities learned are, but you also must use it in battle. The order for Zidane is Attack, Steal, Skill, Item. You want skill and then mug. When you mug you steal and attack at the same time as you know, but when you select steal, it only steals. Hope that works for you.
 
I thought that when you equipped Mug as an ability, when you Attack, you can also steal at the same time. A new command isn't added.
 
Ahhhh yeah, I think Gabs is right there, it adds itself to attack, so you shouldn't even have to bother using steal unless you are after something and don't want to risk killing the monster
