i guess it all depends on how much time you spend making your characters powerful. the first time i played through VI i didn't focus on leveling much at all and i got my ass kicked by ultros almost everytime i fought him. the second time through i leveled a lot and breezed through. i never completed V all the way through but i remember most of the boss battles gave me a challenge, so id say V is harder, but ill beat it and then pick one.
I had a fair amount of troubles playing V, it wasn't too bad at first but I stopped playing it because I found it too difficult in some areas. It may have been because I didn't level up properly but I gave up! It's not my favorite game of the series anyway, I liked it from where I played but it wasn't the best in my opinion. I do think it is a lot more difficult than VI, VI is pretty easy to me most of the time.
5 was harder than 6 for me, but then again 6 is easy for me since ive been playing it since i was 7. i pretty much have the whole game memorized but 5...forget that.
V was way harder than VI! VI has no bosses that brought me much of a challenge where as many times during my run through V i ran into bosses i struggled with. Just to add unlike most, it seems, i actually prefer V to VI
I don't neccessarily believe one is harder than the other since both are very different games in terms of gameplay, story, bosses, battle system, etc. There were parts in FFV where I got stuck at for quite some time, but overall it was fairly played out in terms of difficulty.
As for FFVI, there were also times when I would find myself frusterated over a spot in the game I could not seem to get by, but new strategies, leveling up, etc moved me past it and onto the rest of the game which was easy if you played it out right. Both great games, tricky at times, but overall not that much of a difference in challenge.
*hmmm i havent had the time to ponder about final fantasy V being harder than VI,
how come?
*well if your talking about game completion then id say theyre just equal, and if you say there are harder bosses well maybe but final V has some tough cookies too
*i find playing V too exausting, not hard.its because im a game freak,i want every quest and option to be completed.
*final fantasy V has many job classes to choose from than VI,if youd be a novice at playing youll surely have a hard time
Well the bosses you encounter on last place and Exdeath and Neo Exdeath were way easier for me. I never got killed by them.
The bosses in Kefka's Tower were hard, especially Goddess when she casts the magic where you have limited time to live.
V and VI were both equally hard for me, V i kept dying on the optional bosses that i encountered (damn them) and i keep getting stuck on kefka in Vi, plus i decided to just start over in VI because im going to get all of the optional stuff that i missed in the beginning...
Well it depends. In FFVI, you have some hard bosses. In the Gba version, you have Omega Weapon and Kaiser Dragon. In FFV you have the job system, so you can customize your characters to rape any obstacles and bosses you'll fight. On the other hand, FFV Advance also has Omega Mk.II and Neo Shinryu, both of which are still damn hard. So I guess it depends, but in my opinion, I think FFV was a little harder.
I think FFV had the harder battles/bosses, but I felt the urge to level up a lot more strongly in that one, because I really wanted to make the most of some of the abilities some jobs offered, which evened the playing field a little.
That said, the issue of party splits in FFVI has already been raised, and that can make FFVI pretty tricky in places, but not as hard as FFV.
