It is a great game and perhaps high up on my favourites list but it does fall foul of a few things that irk me.
I hear praise for the story but in truth it is full of holes and by the end and throughout you find yourself asking questions that have no official source for answers.
I like the junction system as far as you can customise attacks and defence and stats as you like. You need to be a bit savvy to make sure everybody gets a stat junctioned (unless you enjoy long periods of refining stuff)
I like the character designs flowing around a common theme. The players don't look like a rabble and their relationships are all highly feasible.
Getting wages. Gil for time elapsed. Excellent idea
The FMVs. The in-game graphics now look a bit jagged and rough but the FMVs are still pretty decent.
Triple Triad. Some rules are annoying but this game is very accomplished for a non-compulsary minigame.
Now the bad:
I hate the lack of MP in favour of stock units of spells.
I havent read every page of responses for this thread but I'm sure I'm not the only one who thinks having to do a minimum of 12 draws to get 100 spells is a bit tedious. Refinement isn't the answer because you get an 80% loss on stockpile. (500 spells are needed to get the next level up spell)
EXP as 100 per level and Level caps at 100 is another bad idea. your strongest characters could be killed by Level5Death unless they have protection.
Lack of armour/accessories/weapons
This means you HAVE to dedicate spells in a single stat because you can't get equipment that has any autostats.
Granted you get character bonus abilities but there's a max of 4 and they have to share attack, attribute and miscellaneous function.
Having to have Item/magic junctioned to use it. Unhelpful
