So I know there weren't any real canon couples in FFXII (as far as I know, I haven't actually fully finished it yet) apart from Rasler/Ashe which doesn't really count since he's dead before you even start the game. I've heard heaps about hints for many couples, but I can't seem to spot that many. Considering this game has one of the least developed party in the series is probably the reason why there's not really much to go on as far as couples go.
I liked Balthier/Fran from the very beginning, the way they were introduced (saying she'd deign to partner with a Hume) just sounded like they weren't talking about riding an airship together, also there were hints if you spoke to npcs in Rabanastre, the young boy who bumped into Fran and said Balthier looked annoyed, the Hume/Viera couple where the guy says Balthier and Fran inspired him to attempt a relationship with a Viera.
I liked Vaan/Ashe from the start too but it really dwindles as the story goes on, the way they met, with him catching her made it seem like they were going to be a pairing, then him being the one who could see Rasler and in once particular scene Ashe is watching Rasler's spirit and when she opens her eyes it's Vaan standing there, seemed like there was something supposed to happen.
I like Larsa and Penelo for fun
she's way too old for him, despite him being mature for his age, but they seemed cute. The way he looked after her, gave her a present, took it back and was guilty when he realised it could have harmed her, her worry over him after he's taken from Mt. Bur-Omisace, lots of little things.
So what I'm asking is what couples did you like in the game?

), and of course Balthier/Fran. But I'm really not a fan of Fran so I don't really like the pairing all too much. But they seem the closest to canon as you will get in FFXII minus Ashe and the dude prince guy who died (I can't remember his name).
What I should have done was add an 'other' option but I forgot.
I really liked their more mature personalities, although Ashe was a little more negative... Somehow, I thought Basch could balance her out, making her feel more positive and less bitter.
The two are just an excellent team and I believe their love has depth. It may not be romantic, but if it became romantic, it would be long lasting, honest and absolutely beautiful.
