I am not talking about for me personally, I've had the game and like it.

I am interested because there are a lot of people who dislike the game (to say the least), and it puts others off on even trying it, but would you suggest it at $6.59? Mostly for Final Fantasy fans who don't like the game or wouldn't usually suggest it -- which I don't get why you would be on the forum in the first place for a game you don't like (to each their own) -- but I'm glad you are for my inquiry!

for only just under 7 bucks why wouldnt you buy it?
if your any kind of FF fan and havnt tried out the series but have an extra 7 bucks laying around, you should buy it right away.
its just like Tales of Vesperia, I LOVE the tales games, and hvae never played vesperia, but for 6 bucks (which its on sale now on XBL) of course im gonna buy it when i get home. it doesnt make sense not too :P

I Liked It but personally It should be more But im glad its at a low price it makes it easier to purchase and yes I would recommend this game to someone

To be honest I would buy any sort of game at that price, I thought I owned the game but I must have traded it in. So for £4.94 on the UK store I see that as a bargain to be honest so :)

It's a sub-par game at a great price. I don't see why not? :lew:

I dunno, maybe?

Unless they're already invested in FFXIII, if they want a mediocre/average JRPG that's easy to breeze through and don't mind a story that frankly, is full of rubbish, then they can probably justify that price. Even I managed to put 45 hours into it from start to end.

I'd recommend to my worst enemy Day One Garry's Incident at full price though.

If they like Final Fantasy then I would definitely say yes. Even if they disliked XIII I would say yes. It's well worth trying at that price for sure.

For $7, it's a pretty legit game.

I agree there is so much mixed hatred for this game,
but personally I loved it! Definitely worth that price in my opinion.
I found this installment to be great for pick up and play and enjoyed the down time I could put into casino games, racing and coliseum when I wanted a break from the story and monster collecting. I also liked that you didn't have to take everything seriously and could actually laugh along with a few moments.
Again these are probably all points as to why some people hate it but each to their own :)

think of it like this: there's a reason why a Final Fantasy PS3/360 game is being sold up to $6.59

its not worth it, if you have to pay DLC for the real ending

*sigh*
You have absolutely no idea how marketing works do you?

e.g. Farcry 3 was a top selling game yet Steam put it up for sale at a greatly reduced price just 1 month after release.

This game has been out well over a year and the next installment has just been released.
This price drop is an offer to encourage people to pick up the XIII series so far before they play Lightning Returns.

never seen it work. i know what marketing does, but to me its still not worth it.

If you have to download the real ending, then you might aswell not even sell it.

at least Skyrim and Arkham City tries to unify the DLC into one after its initial release.

You don't have to download the ending. The real ending is in the game. There's a DLC that shows you what happens with Lightning, but it's not the ending, it's an extra, it's just showing you what happens to Lightning while the ending you've seen in the game is going on with the other characters. You don't need to see it at all to know how the game ends.

I totally agree with this, and for that price any game is really worth it to be honest. I also agree with everything Chocolina has said as well, I buy most of my games in sales. Very few at launch nowadays, yes you have to get DLC for the Lightning segment ending, but in all honesty whats the harm with putting up youtube and watching it. Yes it should have been there to start with, but it aint a hardship to look it up. I was fine with the original ending anyway even with the big 'TO BE CONTINUED' :P

I also preferred the original ending...but i still believe a game that has DLC shouldn't be sold. it sounds like a deal, but XIII-2 had someof the key aspects hidden away in DLC. may i remind u a certain battle with a certain character that we missed out in XIII?

13-2 is fine as it is, without the dlc. You get a perfectly fine ending; considering 13-2 isn't the last of the series, isn't it ok for a "To Be Continued" to be said?

For that price, you get a game that's more interesting than most games that price imo. Indie games are good, but not usually very long or whatever...so for the same price or even cheaper, 13-2 is grand :)

I totally agree with the latest points raised here!
The DLC is an afterthought to enhance the game beyond the originally released version, which you may choose to download or not.

Unfortunately this DLC culture is the way for most if not all games nowadays and all DLC is to me is the same as a classic 'expansion pack' but broken up so you only buy the parts you need
