Final Fantasy 4 Review

I think I'd agree with most things in your review, though I've only ever played the 2D PSX version of the game, so I've not seen how it plays on the DS. It would seem weird to me playing it in 3D at first, but probably only because I've not been used to it.

I find this game to be an interesting experiment into telling a more complicated story. The fact that the story dictates who should be in your party at a particular time (killing off characters to remove them from your party only to revive some later) is a really bizarre way of doing things... But it is forgivable as it is a great game, and in doing it that way at least they give us some of the silliest scenes in the franchise (I'm looking at you, Cid!). :D

Thanks for reading it! It really helps to keep me motivated when I see that it has been read.

I am play FF5 now and the difference between the 3D and the SNES versions are interesting. It made things feel like a PlayStation era game with voice acting, but I must say the voice acting was done well and it played really great.

I didn't mind the party switching out like it did but the "deaths" were cheap and it made me feel uneasy that I cared for a death that wasn't true. It still was the best story so far...mainly because it actually had a good story line.. so Ill forgive it. Out of the 4 it is easily my favorite so far.
