Did you like FF7? Is it your favorite FF game or is there another one. This game gave thrills and adventure in a new scale for its time but does it still hold up?

Check out the retrospective Here

What was your favorite moment in the final fantasy 7 and how often do you play it?

I loved it. It is by far my favorite Final Fantasy game, as well as my favorite RPG. Yes, it still holds up for me. I have played it many times and I am currently doing yet another playthrough.

It is a good game for sure. The second time I played it was a much better experience for me. The first time was rushed and I played it to say I did and I didnt enjoy it when I did that, but after paying attention to it the game has great themes and the gameplay was interesting and interactive.

Hey, I'm new here but Dionysos said that Winks is doing something similar to me. If you look at my latest posts you'll see my 24-game quest! Where are you on that list Winks? 7? I agree that it is the best ever, but I've only played the ps1 and ps2 games. Starting from the beginning and I'm just about to finish up FF2. The game with the first summon! So fun to see where different elements originated and different annoyances (FF1) were solved.

I lnow it’s an unpopular opinion, but VII is one of my least favorites and easily the most overrated game of all time. The characters are some of the weakest (Cloud is an incredibly weak character personality-wise) and the ending is trash.

Tactics is the best FF game. The best numbereds are IX, VIII, VI, IV and XII in that order (unless we are including XIV, it is pretty high up there as well.

VII will likely always be my favorite. the story for me was top notch though i grew up with this game. the bright side of that was that with each successful playthrough i always found something new and different or caught another joke that went over my head when i was younger. i frankly really enjoyed the mini games and i thought that the battle system was a good one. it wasn't the toughest out there as if you get the right materia combinations you can easily break the game but if you didn't know how to figure that out it made for some very challenging gameplay. this game and it's spinoffs are all my favorite from the series.

that being said i wouldn't mind if they they wanted to shift the battle system to something more like what 12 had as the gambit system was really helpful.
