I was just looking at FFcompendium...you know...eyeballing the outfits and stuff...and then I thought...nothing is as bad as FFX/X-2's outfit mishaps:

Note: there should be a thread to rag on FFX-2 and it's horrible fashion disaster.

While I do like some of the dress spheres, some are just downright awful.

Like the thief dress sphere... why are they hardly wearing anything? I mean don't thieves usually wear loose clothing so they can hide what they are stealing? XD I need to make a thread in the X2 section.

....I don't see anything wrong with either of their outfits....
Aeris: She's a flower girl...she didn't have a lot of money to begin with so I dont expect her to have anything fancy, besides she looks nice with what she's wearing. She seems to fit the decent humble girl part in all this. I think her clothes suit her fine...
Tifa, her outfit was simply meant to contrast Aeris' outfit, it pictures the urban girl look, simple and freespirited. ....Actually very comfortable to perform martial arts in, free movement of the legs and as, trust me....I've done it.
Yuffie's outfit....what's wrong with it again? She's young, she seems to picture the young free look. Like "I wear what I want" kinda thing. She also requires plenty of movement, this the shorts and sleeveless shirt.

Each of the girl's outfits seem to fit their personality, Aeris, humble and gentle this the dress, Tifa active, her clothes won't slow her down. It sure does suck to wear a lot when working. Yuffie, skippy jumpy clothes for a skippy jumpy person, something to also let her free movements. Yay freedom ^^

So yeah...I see nothing wrong with any of their clothes, they seem to fit them just fine. The look good in them ^^
 
Tifa will give her fair share of panty shots though, that is... if she is even wearing panties. :P The skirt will most likely end up high around her waist too.

And I don't think an enemy would care much for panty shots when they are about to die, besides...ya can't blame the girl...freaking fan service makes almost all the anime/game girls dress like that -.-;; *hates fan service*
 
im ok with aeriths outfit b/c.. well she never waz really a hardcore fighter from the beginning anyway.. just a girl going along 4 the ride until she finds out her true purpose in the story. i dnt really like her boots, but the city waz dirty so it makes since why she would wear them.

tifas outfit is not practical, but i think that waz the point. she waz suppossed to contrast aeriths. i personally think it looks neat. her oufit in advent children waz a lot more practical, but this one seemed to suit her better. ya never no, mayb she wears some little shorts under it so she wnt give the guys a glimpse of her drawers.

yuffies is just awful! her turtleneck shirt thing waz horrible looking and i hate that thing on her arm. funny enough tho hers waz the most practical i suppose. she looks a whole lot better in advent children and doc tho

I do believe she wears a skort (a skirt + shorts) it looks like a skirt on the outside, but is really a pair of shorts on the inside. Very comfortable.

Aeris outfit fit is great for her except for the boots. Boots.... with a dress. Yes, that was quite stupid on your part Nomura. Shame on you. Other than that, she looks fine.

and yuffie I never really looked at after the bitch stole my materia. :P

What I ment around her waist is that it would ride up to her waist leaving her exposed.

I've worn a skirt that short before and just from walking around in it I had to keep pulling it down.

Tifa is actually quite a shy character. (Judging from her actions in the game.) It's a bit out of character for her to be wearing that outfit.

Yes fanservice does make a girl dress that way. TBH, she is dressed simular to some girls in S&M and tenacle hentai.
 
I do agree, she is very shy, so that is kinda comfusing and outta character...but I'm shy as well and I do dress similar to her ._.;; I am weird xD
Well it's not her fault, but at least she isn't the only one that dresses that way....well in the gamer world anyways. v.v

yea i thought she wore a skort 2 lol aerith would have looked a lot better if she had some little pink delicate shoes to go with her dress kinda like the ones she had in cc
 
I loveddd Tifa's look in Advent Children. =). Way better than that of the game. haha.

Anyone notice how Yuffie's outfit is similar to Tidus'? Half missing pieces and such. Hrmm?

I hated Aerith's Ugg boots with that un-needed long ass dress! lol.
 
Well thing is that is Aerith would have had some dress shoes she would have had a hard time walking around with the others and such, and she wouldn't be able to aford them anyways, not a lotta gil ^^;;
 
It could be much worse afterall they could look like Kuja or Kefka! Although not strictly females they probably had the worst clothes of ANY of the characters in FF.
 
i thought ffx had the worst clothes.

You know, my assumption that Aerith and Tifa buy their clothes at the same bargain store only strengthens my Aerti theory. :P

Tifa: But Aerith, if I wear a skirt that short I'll give a ton of panty shots, and I'll be bouncing all over the place with that top!

Tifa: Well ok, but you have to wear this dress with the huge slit. Oh and you can't button up all the buttons.

When I look at Lulu's I just can't help but think: wtf? Frankly, she looks pretty out place for someone who lives on the remote island of Besaid. I mean, when you look at all of the other people who live on Besaid, she just sticks out like a sore thumb. I'm also wondering why the skirt is made of belts...

More than anything else, she looks like a mistress at a brothel... What was her job before she became a guardian?
