Hey all. Did you ever think:"wouldn't it be cool if FF also came in book form?" basicly the question is: Would you like it if there were final fantasy books?. I know I would. Cause sometimes in books as opposed to games, as Iam sure you all know, books give more insight into the characters thoughts about situations than most games. Also? if you would like novels? which games would you like to be made into novels?
 
Novels would be great. There were some FF7 short novels made a few years back but to my knowledge they were all released for Japan only.

I'd love to see an FF6, FF4, FF5 or FF9 one.


I'd also love to see Final Fantasy comic books, or manga anyway... Theres lots of awesome characters in Final Fantasy and I think that a colourfull manga on Final Fantasy and some of it's most well designed characters will quickly become an amazing manga.
 
Oh definitely. I was actually kinda hoping some would be released years ago, but that's just mere wistful thinking on my part. I really would love to see FFVIII and FFX most especially, only because the romance is a huge thing. And ya'know, I'm a sucker for romance.
 
Anything from VI upwards would definately get my interest, well, upto X anyway. I think they would be a great read and could go into so much detail about the characters background and whatnot, and maybe explain all those things that we all go 'huh?' over and create threads on asking for theories xD
 
I'm with Mitsuki on this one. I absolutely would LOVE to see FFVIII, FFIX and FFX in novel form. I'd so buy them up right away and just read to my heart's content. I have the mini novels they made before FFVII: AC and they're not bad, but could've been better. Though I'd love to see the whole game of FFVIII, IX and X in novel form. It'd rock so much. Hmmm, maybe that's a thought on a new project! LOL Write one of my favorite FF games in novel form. :P

You own them? As in physically own them? How did you get a hold of them? I didn't know they were released in English form.

Hmmm. I'd prefer to read new stories and backgrounds to existing, but undeveloped characters more than I would see a novel of the main story of a game that has already been explained.

Such as...
The life and times of Ultros!

The adventures of Beatrix, and her rise to glory!

A novelisation of the whole Maduin and Madonna (I think thats her name) event in the world of the Espers from FF6.

Perhaps a novel of Red XIII and his species? Or perhaps one of Bugenhagen and his past!

A story about Don Corneo and all his naughty doings (ermm.. Will have to have an 18 rating, obviously, and hence would do better as an x-rated manga.. or a porn mag).. (I don't actually want this, just making a joke... Well actually I'd buy it out of curiosity!)

Captain Faris and he adventures with her pirate crew onboard the Hydra driven ship.

A novelisation of Rydia's experiences in the land of the summons? Her life from childhood to adulthood under the care of leviathan etc.

I would love to own a few novels about FF.

VIII, X/X-2, and XII would be the main ones I would read about though. It's actually a thought they should consider. I mean...I love the story in X. Sometimes I just wanna see the story line unfold and not go through the battles and stuff. This could be a way to involve my imagination and also allow the writer of the book to get better development of story lines and character development.

I'd love it.
 
I think most of the people I'd want to be behind such projects I'd rather have making newer, better games. Perhaps a manga would be nice...Or maybe some kind of graphic novel ala Sandman: Dreamhunters that Yoshitaka Amano did...I'd drool over an Amano illustrated story...

Yes! Amano and Gaiman was an awesome team up.. Something like that would be AMAZING..

I would like to see graphic novels rather than novels though. Novels are great, but I think graphic novels could count as art too. I'd love to see such art.

Honestly I would die for a story following one of the things I listed in my above post.

The only novels, well,l if you could even cal them that, are the casae of Barrett & Denzel that I got with AC, is that talking baout those 2, or are there others...?

I'd be interested to get my mitts on them if there are, and obviously, if they are in English, sseeing as Im not fluent in....well, any language really :gasp:
 
Not sure if they were talking about the stories that came with AC, But in general all the ones mentioned are available in Japan and I haven't found any translations yet.

Or get a hold of! Most of these aren't available to us, unless we're fluent in japanese, live in japan, camp outside square-enix headquarters.. Which I am not, do not, and won't have the chance to do!
 
ohhh a FF novel? If only..... The least they can do is to make a good manga of the games....But a novel would rock my world.
 
I'd buy a novel if they made one, but I hope it would be good, unfortunately, most novels aren't good when based on something else
 
I would love it if they published some final fantasy novels :D!!! Like little continuations to some of the old classics like final fantasy 8 or final fantasy 9. It would be awesome if they made manga's too ^_^
