Final Fantasy VII Remake News [Update]

I had to cancel my record set for the moment, I then re-ordered and it was delayed with Amazon until May the 1st!

Looking online I found another UK record distributor that had them available and are still posting:

Upon Signing Up, you can join their Newsletter and get 10% off, which with postage brings it to £62.95. £3 More than Amazon but not knowing if this is a limited released I didn't want to gamble! - Only 1 left after I ordered!

As for the game I'm locked with The Game Collection with a Persona 5 Royal order, my friend had their P5R dispatched from Base.com already...

Major update on deliveries, etc.

I mean there might be many people who criticise Square Enix as a company, but there is no denying that this is a fantastic gesture. I'm still not sure if my own copy will get to me on time, but it looks like a lot of them will now.

If anyone else's copy arrives early, please don't spoil it here on FFF (especially before the official release date). It wouldn't be a good look for us! :argor:

Yet another trailer...
I skipped through it and avoided most of it because the game is pretty much here already and now is not the time to drop spoilers like this. But for people who want to see it here we go:

Another update of my own. I now have my physical deluxe copy! It arrived today completely unexpectedly. I'm not sure if I'll play it until April 10th though as I'm nervous that a day one patch might change things.

If I do play it early, however, I shall not be sharing anything at all with anyone until after April 10th. Even after that I will use spoilers. Thus respecting Square Enix's requests.

Love it how they said they were gonna sell it early and even shipped it out early so stores in the EU and Australia could sell it early. Just called my Gamestop and now that they have their copies on apparently Square went back on the whole sell early bit, so now i'm hoping this store has enough copies for all of the preorders.

Mine won't be here until Tuesday, according to Amazon. But I'm fine with that. I have plenty of debt to pay off in Animal Crossing right now. Looking forward to playing though!

Remember the Butterfingers promo rewards? Lots of people bought an Aladdin's cave's amount of Butterfingers and engorged themselves in gluttonous gambling in the hopes of finding a little code?

Well it is now free for all, apparently.

Win for me.

EDIT - Oh. Not sure if it appears on the EU store yet. :sad2:

It is! Downloaded them earlier today!

So is this exclusive to the USA? I couldn't find these items on the UK PS STORE

Closest I've seen is the Noodle promotion, but does that offer the same items or a theme?

It was available for me in the Netherlands, so I'm assuming it's available for Europe. You checked in the PS Store under the Final Fantasy VII Remake game, correct? You can find the bangles if you scroll down a little bit while viewing the game itself.

I said EU store because I thought that the UK store shares the same space.

I forgot to check for this today so I'll have to confirm tomorrow. However, it is different from the Super Noodles exclusives Vivi-Gamer. I'm not sure how useful the items will be, but no harm in them if they are free.

Some interesting results in this survey. The results indicate that more people experienced the Tifa sequence in Aerith's garden, for example. That's why I received too but I didn't expect it to be more common.

Without a doubt, I found the Train Graveyard the most tedious pile of shit in that game, if I'm honest. Leaving out the optional sidequests, it was one of a couple of areas that were just lengthened for the sake of it - I didn't feel it brought much to the game outside of some funny scenes. It was a big oof from me.

I found going to the plant with Barret and Tifa was a big oooooooooooof too - that just didn't end.

/rant over, sorry

I think I liked the Train Graveyard section in that I liked the mini-ghost mystery and following the creepy graffiti, figuring out who they were, etc. If I had an issue with it then that would probably be more to do with the when of it. I know we had to experience it when we did in terms of following the original game, but extending a portion like that right at the moment when the player is anticipating the plate fall (and is racing to get there) seemed to break the flow and sense of urgency for a moment. I still loved it, personally, but I can completely understand how it might have annoyed a lot of people.
