In the whole of Final Fantasy Compilation, what in your opinion, of the climax, where is it for you? I know there are different games...etc but i mean the overall story.

The climax for me has been Advent Children. The big fight between Sephiroth and Cloud marked the biggest moment in the compilation to me. That movie seemed to just finish the compilation for me. Dirge of cerubus was just an add-on to me.

I think i might have to agree.

Advent Children just put it over the top for me, i was simply dazzled by it, the storyline with Kadaj and friends was pretty good. But then again, Crisis Core was pretty amazing too... I didn't think i was gonna like that game at all, but then after i started playing it, it was pretty amazing.

I'm gonna say the game itself and then the movie.

The game was finished and it looked like everything was fine, but could still use a continuation. And that's what the movie is,althoughit didn't last too long. They could have used a better storyline for the movie.Looking back to it,I feel as if the movie has more to do about Cloud & Sephiroth, rather than the game.I feel that it was missing the magic of the FF.I have to say that I did find it a bit depressing.

For me it was Aerith's Death. Everything came together there, with the knowledge about zack in the prequel. Subsequently, Cloud started falling apart from the building up to the Story and Advent children. And like you guys said Advent children took it over the top, But before that was defiantly its pinnacle. However this is just opinion, thanks for sharing guys.

I'd have to say AC, Cloud was finally able to let go and be happy. Other two points worthy of note though are
Aerith's death
and the
lifestream fight between Cloud and Sephiroth.

I would have to mark three moments as the highlights of this story:

The first would be when Cloud rediscovers his past and the truth about himself with Tifas help, that's when he understood what he had to do and who he really was, had it not been for that moment then the world would have been most likely destroyed.

The second moment for me, is when Cloud and the others find the will of heart to break free of Sephiroths power and defeat him, saving the world.

The third and final moment is when Cloud faces Sephiroth in their last duel, when Cloud discovers he as true friends and finally founds his real reason to fight and then finally surprises Sephiroth with the Omnislash version 5.

Those combined are what i consider the biggest moments in the story and it's climax.

The Climax for me will always be the ending of Final Fantasy 7 (the game). I Liked AC but never much cared for it because I don't think FF7 needed any add ons or spin offs. Although, the Spin offs were all great and didn't dissapoint.

I'm not big into the sad/dissapointing endings, but there were many parts of this Climax that made it not so sad or dissapointing. We know that Aerith, or rather Aeriths Love/Spirit was with Cloud the entire time, because of her sacrifice against Meteor. And Meteor wasn't able to do as much damage as we all thought it would do. But I played the whole game hoping to stop Meteor completely and save the world, which I did save the world, but Meteor still did it's damage. I suppose it was a nice twist to an ending of a good game. Instead of everything ending all well.

The game itself, the Omnislash fight against Sephiroth in the lifestream is the ultimate final moment for me. Cloud finished it there. Although I liked Advent Children, I personally wouldn't consider it as an extension to the game itself.

The ending cut scene of the game.It was so abstract and awsome at the same time.It was the high point for me.
Not to mention the doubt if humanity was exterminated until the laughing sound at the very end.

I maybe would have said Aeriths death if I knew it wasnt going to happen lol. But I ended up reading that accidently in a gaming mag before Id gotten that far :|

I guess the actual ending itself of the game. As mentioned above, you think its game over for humanity, then the laughter. And of course Advent Children.
