Final Fantasy X movie?

I remember a few years ago I was on ebay and I saw several dvds for sale called 'Final Fantasy X the movie' or something, they were obviously fake (or fan made stuff) but I really wanted to know what the hell they were. So to sum it up, yes I would see a FFX movie if it was made.

come to think of it maybe the dvds just had the FMV's or something :wacky:

I don't think they should try to do a FFX movie. The sequal for X didn't work out very well so I wouldn't risk making it worse with a movie.

It all depends on the storyline. I mean, I would love to see an FFX movie, the only problem is what will it be about?

I'd go and see it, but I don't think it would be very good. FFVII had a movie because fans wanted some sort of closure, FFX-2 gives FFX closure, a movie would just be overkill.

Sure I'd go see it if they do make a movie out of it, but like everyone stated here, it is highly unlikely. Plot-wise, I don't know what they could possibly come up with because they've already ruined the "beautiful, yet tragic romance" when they did FFX-2. What more can they possibly think of in a movie?

...Okay, probably a few, but still, the idea isn't really appealing.

It would really be good if a final fantasy 10 movie came out, but i dout it. If there was i would like to see the blitzeball tournament.

In the event that they do make a FFX movie i would definetly go and see it. Whether it in theaters(which would be awesome) or on dvd like FFVII.

The plot in it should have evereyones p.o.v. Like in the very begining they should start mid-story fighting Sin, and then Sin should kill them and then it switches back to Tidus, with him waking up scared. Then Sin attacks Zanarkand as he woke up and then you see him start drowning going all the way down into the bottom of the sea and stay there. and instead of him waking up in Baaj switch to Yuna or Wakka. Then just go from there. It's kinda straight forward except at the very end of both the games recaps, they should make a different story in movie. It should be like in the Aeons P.O.V. watching over the group and whenever someone from the group's in trouble it unleashes something. but then that would suck. they should just tie in both games under someone elses point of view.

would i go and see it ........yes

would they put one into production or even think about one......no

im afraid thats the answer that seems to be on everyones mind.

sorry

Yeah... it was justa compilation of all he FFX FMV sequences... they did the same thing with X-2... but before that, FFVII, FFVIII, and FFIX all had similar FMV based "films" put onto VCD by the same company.

I don't think that a movie would be good, I mean I'm kinda curious as to what happened after the ending of FFx-2 but everyone is always curious about what happens after endings right? anyway the game is good where it is, it may be cool, but i'm more on the no movie thing

Well maybe after 10 years SE (or who knows what then has merged with SE, like Capcom then it would be SEC) will start "Compilation of FFX" and it will start with a crappy movie sequel. Naturally the bad guy is Sephiroth who walks in the flames and then Tidus cries.

After movie there will be shoot´em up game where you play as Kimahri who has two AK-47. Cloud will make a cameo and Sephiroth is the bad guy who is walking in the flames.

I wouldn't want them to make a movie of the game because it would most likely take away the 'awe' of the game in the end. I don't even know what i'd want it to be about. I know my favorite theories and parts of the game I wonder about are the events that went on when Braska, Jecht, and young Auron pilgrimaged together 10 years prior to the main game.

Other than that, FFX-2 pretty much covered afterwards 2 years, and by then, half the characters are either gone or doing other things besides collecting spheres and chasing down Cactuars.

I do not think that it would translate well to screen being such an open world and a plot filled full with small intricacies that would have to be sacrificed for a "to film" conversion. For example many were hoping the Final Fantasy VII movie (when announced) would be scripted directly from the game itself yet it would be a near impossibility to translate from game to silver-screen as it were because the feelings you experienced during FFVII would be hard to replicate in a feature film. A game for me is all about your personal experience and attachment to it and with many people playing and seeing the games in various different ways, a movie would never do it any justice.

If they did a movie they could tell the story of Braska's adventure with Auron and Jecht, that would be pretty cool. And then they wouldn't be attacked by angry fans for not including their favourite bits of the game and they would have creative freedom to do what they wanted.

If SE produced an FFX film, what I see it? Probably.
However, I probably wouldn't like it, I think from past experience I've realized SE don't make films anywhere near the quality they make games, 'The Spirits Within'...well what a joke of a film that was, not only did it not feel like a Final Fantasy title it also had a lacking storyline to go with it.
Advent Children, albeit it was a great film, it will never become what FFVII became, as it was pretty much impossible to get emotionally attatched to the characters in AC, as both the characters and plot lacked depth and ideas whereas in FFVII they were both extremely well thought through and developed.
Therefore, I would only see an FFX film being the next FFX-2 and as Sir Balthier has already stated "A game is all about the personal feeling and attachment to it" in which FFX duly delivered.

If it is to be done, it had better be done well...
The chances of them ruining it are high; around 60-70% I'd say, but it would depend on the storyline they choose to follow through the movie...
Braska, Auron and Jecht would be cool, but only people who had played the game would get it... and we'd know the ending...
I'd probably go see it regardless though

I would definetly watch it, but thats because I just love FF!! But, considering the other hundreds of millions of millions of other people who haven't even played FF X, they may not like it since they don't understand the background story from the game. If it was a prequel to FF X they might go buy X and X-2 if they were interested.

'The Spirits Within'...well what a joke of a film that was, not only did it not feel like a Final Fantasy title it also had a lacking storyline to go with it.

I agree, the 'spirit within' was IMPOSSIBLE to watch.
As an ff fan I want to see ffX ,but I'm scared the'll butcher that by including the ffX-2 story in it.
