Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster - March 18th Countdown and Celebration!

Got my game today being in Europe/Scotland.

Currently doing Kilika Temple Cloister of Trials. Will be playing this ALL weekend. I hope everyone spoke to the girl in the Besaid shop before leaving. Her dog finds something interesting. :X

IGN rating: 9.3

Sounds about right. :griin:
 
Got a copy!!!

Normally, I'd use Amazon or other delivery sites, but I wanted to get it myself this time.
Went to one shop and saw both this and Lightning Returns on the shelf. Went to the bank, got the money out and when I came back, a teenage woman wearing headphones was staring at them. I took out a coin and was just about to ask her to toss it so I could late fate decide which game I got and... she went and took FFX/X-2 to the counter before me!
That did leave Lighting Returns up for grabs, but seeing her take that game... I wanted it! So I had to go to the other bigger town and saw the only copy left on the shelf. So I grabbed that and paid for it.
And as I was paying, somebody phoned the shop to be answered with "It's literally just gone mate!"
I knew this game would sell due to the fact they were pretty good games to begin with, I just wasn't expecting the hot cakes of today!
And if you were that teen who bought that copy this afternoon. Hi!
 
Mine has arrived too! :yay:. I've only made it to the ship...first proper boss incoming! :gasp:.

An improved version of a near perfect game. The new quick heal thing looks like it'll be really handy too! Oh dear crapping god, I'm gonna go play some more :britt:.

Quick heal? Lol I haven't seen anything like that, I'm just relying on Yuna's White Magic and Potions. >_>
 
HOLD EVERYTHING!!!It might be my copy is broken but... does X-2 work for anyone else? I made it to the Pier after the battle with Sin in X, and thought I'd have a look at X-2 for a bit.I got the opening song working OK. But when it went to the battle, the music looped and the picture stayed on the drumming monstrosity.OK, I have been playing it for an afternoon, so I quit game and reloaded, but this time, X-2 wouldn't load up!If I'm to be charged full price for two games, it'd be good to have the second game working just as well!Please tell me it's just my copy and everything's fine?

Having said this now, it may just be on the Vita version. You swipe the touchscreen from the left and the option to heal your characters with the least mp/items possible can be picked. It's done in a matter of 2 seconds, which is nice.

Still, it's not necessary or anything, so ps3 gamers (if it's not on the ps3 version) aren't missing anything special :)

Yeah seems to be your copy as I was playing it earlier with no problems.

Phew! Good job I kept the receipt then! Thanks Soulcorruptor, it's a blow, but at least I can play X with no problems. So I may as well keep playing that over the weekend and get a replacement copy next week.

That sounds well convenient. Perhaps too convenient, like the Magic Booster for VIII on PC which gives you 100 of every "Ara" spell and a bunch of negative status elements. xD

By the way guys I chose to use the advanced sphere grid instead of the basic one, but as far as I can remember it's the same thing. Is it anything to do with sphere levels? Because I don't remember that.
 
I was away from home when my copy arrived but I've just got in and I'm about to start playing! Can't wait!

The Advanced Grid has your characters all starting out in the middle so you have more options available to you about which roles you start with. I also think there's more options to branch out onto other paths. I'm not totally sure though because I always pick the Advanced Grid :)
 
Um...my X-2 isn't broken as such, but Yuna does keep speaking Japanese in battle. Is this meant to happen, or is my game glitching?

She says things in Japanese instead of English occasionally when beginning/ending a battle, or when changing Dresspheres...

that shouldn't be happening..... WAIT WHAT!

does that mean the JP voice track in the english game.... square, UNDUB DLC NOW
 
Hmm...I dunno. I mean when I was telling my boyfriend about it earlier, he suggested that the Japanese voices are hiding in the coding somewhere.

I first noticed it when I changed to the Songstress dressphere in Yuna's first battle- as she landed after her change, she said something in Japanese. It's happened a couple of times since, most of the time when all three are wearing their default dresspheres, and mainly at the beginning of battle.

That's really weird. I hope Square aren't doing that really annoying thing companies do where they leave space or entire content in the game, but then charge the player to access the content.

Edit: Then again, Lightning Returns had the original Japanese for free on the DLC page, so yeah.
 
Im a little past halfway the third disk of Final Fantasy 9 i believe so I plan on powering through at least disk 3 tonight. Then tomorrow wake up finish it and then go pick up Final Fantasy X!! Being a life long FF fan I cant believe I never even tried to give this game a chance but starting tomorrow night that is changing!! I'm so excited to experience this classic for the very first time and in HD. I will give my thoughts as a new FFX once I get a few hours into it.

You are so lucky you're going to get the experience it for the first time! I sometimes wish I could totally forget it all so I could experience it again like that :D
