I am curious what others thought of the Echoes of the Fallen DLC that dropped earlier this week. The announcement was made during the Game Awards on Thursday and dropped the same day, with a follow-up DLC (Rising Tide) should drop in Spring 2024.
While Echoes of the Fallen was fairly anemic, measuring anywhere from 2 to 4 hrs of gameplay depending on skill-level, I had a blast. There is a nice gauntlet of classic bosses, a few new weapons available, and a bit of lore expansion. From all accounts, it seems that Rising Tide will be three times as long with more lore and exploration.
As I played it, I realized I suck at gaming lol BUT since even I made it through, I have to admit, the playthrough was at least mildly challenging and the battle mechanics were on par w/ some things from FF14. Also, Soken flexed on the various tracks for the DLC and I can't wait to see what he does for Rising Tide.
