What's wrong with the idea ? Sure, it's not blatantly shown, but just like a lot of stuff in FFVII, I think it's one of those things they purposefully left to the interpretation of the players.
To me it makes sense they would get intimate given both characters' background and the situation (the eve of the end of the world). In some way you could compare that scene to Tidus and Yuna lake scene.
There was no way they could show it back then without it looking goofy because of the graphics. Maybe that's why they kept it subtle.

I'd have to agree about the part that they did leave it up to the player's interpretation. Look at the scene where Cloud took a bath with a bunch of naked guys at the Wall Market. The camera pans upwards but there is the gesture of the guys taking Cloud's clothes off (since you hear the sounds of clothes being taken off) and then nudging him on towards the bathtub.

As far as Cloud and Tifa getting intimate towards the end, I've only seen that scene once when I was 12 years old and I thought then, "Oh...okay." I honestly didn't think too much about it, but I understand there's hints anyway. Whether it did happen or not, it's not something I'd care to ponder about since I like to see things as they are, personally. But I will agree there is room for interpretation and there's nothing wrong with that.

As for the song that best suits here, I'll also say that her main theme suits her best, especially in AC. It had a softer touch to it but somewhat strong at the same time, which I really appreciate.

Also, the original FFVII version of the theme has a really cool nostalgic childhood friend feel to it, it's such a shame you got to hear it only once.

Haha, yeah I see where you're getting at. The whole Honey Bee Inn part was pretty awkward anyway. I have no fantasies about gay relationships so I didn't read much into that scene, but now that you mention it...

I was also pretty young at the time, and I definitely think age is one of the main factors in the way people could interpret that scene. I really depends on how the player stands regarding this part of human relationships.
But hey, it's never too late to look back, right ? Looking at that scene as a grown up, you can't deny there's something hinted at.
Also, I remember a dialog they have with Barrett soon during which Tifa gets really uncomfortable. Didn't she say something along the lines of "Were you watching us ? : ( "
She wouldn't make such a big deal out of it otherwise...

Personally, the point that she isnt a virgin because she is a bartender is flawed. A bar tender does not equal to being a ho. In fact, to me, 7th Heaven doesnt seem like that kind of bar/club where people go dancing. Seemed more like a saloon. Though i do believe in the Highwind scene.

I really like her clothes. I was more of a Crisis Core and AC person. The FF7 clothes didnt quite grab me. The cape skirt thing was a nice touch as was her gloves.

This looks like a girly thread but I must say that Tifa is one of the sexiest characters of all FF and most importantly she fights with her body which is something I personally like in women and the costume below, I think its Tifa's signature

I really adore that picture. I don't care whether a remake of the game is being made or not, but that picture is visually stunning. I love the attention paid to detail to it in particular. It's exactly what I would imagine it to be when it would be made like this someday.

I'm a dude, and I totally agree with you. Nobody can top Tifa in my book.
You shouldn't refrain from employing the term "sexy" where it's due. But I bet most of us wouldn't like her as much if she was only looks.

Love that outfit, Tifa's not the real Tifa without the suspenders, black skirt, and the white tanktop, and black arm protectors. xD She's awesome, and I love that picture of her more than anything.

Also, I love the fact she looks so feminine, yet she can still beat someone's ass. That's another thing I like about Tifa. She's not a hardcore girly girl. xD

I'm with you on this.
I also like the original FF7 outfit more, and not just because of the skimpiness.
The AC costume feels less unique to me. Probably because it somehow reminds me of Rinoa's.
I remember when the very first footage from AC was released, I had troubles to recognize Tifa.

Speaking of which, have a look at this.

It seems it ended up much simpler in the end.

The belt she has going kinda reminds me of Paine, and the gloves remind me of Yuffie too much. I also agree that I had trouble adjusting to her, seeing as she looked like she was wearing a more 'tough' version of Rinoa's outfit.

Oh well, though. I'm glad with what they went with in the end, as I adjusted to it. I about cried when I saw they cut her hair though. I mean... I know it was hard with the graphics, seeing she was on screen a lot more than Aeris, but... Her pretty hair... =(

I didn't. My cousin did as we took the picture as she told me, "You look like her without even trying." that was two years ago. I suppose the picture did have some hints, it was just a spurr of the moment kinda picture with my cousin, so it was really weird to see the pose looked alike.

I'm not a good cosplayer.

Ps. Changed the header back to an originall. I'm not really up for anything fancy, figured nothing was wrong with a tifa picture. I think this one we all agree with, represents Tifa awesomely well. - don't worry, I'm done changing it.
