I said it in my other thread...FF's being a dick. It's running slowly, it won't load for ages and instead of telling me that it is loading it says "stopped" in the bottom right corner. It's ridiculous, I've completely cleaned my computer (IE and Opera work anyway) but FF's taking the piss. Any tips?

secondly disable any plug-ins/ad ons that arent necessary

ive definitely noticed that firefox has become a bit bloated, its hogging resources for fuck knows what reason, id consider changing and i do have several other browsers installed but i cba with the hassle of forgetting passwords and all that pish.

apart from that...just lob your laptop out the window.
 
Google chrome, its the best faster and better than firefox and them other crappy stuff.

the only gripe i actually have with chrome is that its google. do you really want one of the biggest advertising companies in the world to know what websites you like etc? :hmmm:

Google is taking over the world and I don't mind it, they have e-mails, google voice, google wave, google apps that you can download for your browser like an iphone speaking of iphone they have their google android OS for phones, the DROID is freaking sick, I can play super nintendo, gameboy advance, nintendo, play all final fanstasy games for those systems and much more!

you get all that and an increasing pile of shite that the postie puts through your letterbox just about every day because of freaking sick advertising companies. and if youre lucky google (themselves) might send you gift cards for free advertising! imagine that :jess:

ive just disabled all adons and most of my plugins (which were installed without my knowing, surprise surprise) annnnnnd uninstalled all themes. RAM usage has come down to 80MB (ish) from 200MB(ish). but it's so harsh on my eyes :gonk:

Uninstalling/reinstalling didn't work. :( Nothing's changed on my computer either, I don't understand why it's suddenly slower than a dyslexic snail playing scrabble.

sounds like your internet is pooping.....try google'ing (<---haha) a site to test your internet speed and see if its the usual numbers of download/upload.
 
its worth it just for incognito windows. you can hide your own porn from yourself.

Hahahahahaha, well I've given up on Firefox, and Google Chrome doesn't have the problems that Opera has, so I guess I'll stick with that. Cheers anyway guys :dave:
