First Final Fantasy game?

First is I but the first one I've actually owned & played through is VIII. The latest is XIII.
 
Everyone try and remember this is a post count section. Try and expand on your posts as much as possible please.
 
My first Final Fantasy was 6. I was young, so I could barely understand the story and didn't get what stats meant. I felt so accomplished the day I reached Zozo for the first time. I had seen my sister playing there and I wanted to too because the music was catchy. I think I finished it first, too, though that might have been 7 or 8.

The last new one I played was FF13. Definitely did not have the same troubles playing it as I did back then =D
 
My first FF game was FFVI..on the SNES.
Seems like eons ago...
I didn't have alot of trouble although I am sure I missed some things..
I didn't realize you had to pause at the fight on the airship before you jump or you will lose Shadow.

shrugs...

Still one of my favorites because it's so classy. I love the opera house stuff..the singing...
Kefka is the second best villain after Sephiroth of course..rotfl

The last game I played was FFXII.

a very inadequate game with poor plot and character development, excessive chest randomization, weak espers, incomplete magic, and Matsuno leaving before the game is finished...
Hope I didn't say too much there..I thought the mod wanted us to say more..

my first and most favorite was ffx. The experiences it gave me was awesome. I played it twice n can't never get enough of that game.
 
My first was Final Fantasy XII. I had the hardest time figuring out the gambit system though, and I had no idea what any of the items in the inventory did. I remember thinking, "What in the heck is a phoenix down?"

So I went and picked up a copy of X and ended up beating that before XII. X is a much better game for beginners I found.
 
Actually, I think the first Final Fantasy game I played was Tactics, but I didn't really enjoy it since I first played it when I was a kid and everything confused me (though I like it now).
 
My first was VII, and the most recent ones I've played are X and XII--I really need to finish those :gonk:
 
The first FF I played, was the original on my NES, back when it came out here in AUS. Wish I still had that game cartridge in my collection now... :(
 
The 1st Final Fantasy game I every played/bought was FFVII. I remember going with my uncle when he bought it and started playing it. That Cloud t-shirt was my favorite to wear. I would sit up every night with him all night and watch him play it, and then play it when he went to work lol. Needless to say I was introduced to the series when I was 6, and I've been playing them since then.

The newest Final Fantasy I have gotten is FFXIII. Thankfully I had and read the book when I bought this game, because had I not done that I know for sure I would have been lost on upgrading weapons, finding and defeating the mark missions, paradigm setups. I would have managed through it, but it would have been rough.

 
My very first FF game was Dissidia. That got me into the entire Final Fantasy series. To me Dissidia is less than the tiniest and smallest preview to the other FFs and now I wanna play ALL OF THEM!
 
First Final Fantasy game i brought was VIII, i brought it at the time FFX was out and i wanted to get a earlier model before trying out FFX and i spotted it in a game store in the ps1 section so i grabbed it.
