Fishing mini-game

How can I do the fishing mini-game? I passed Cactuar sidequest but I don't know where to find/buy the Rod.

when you get to balformheim go to the path of aerodrome
along the way youll see a guy fishing talk to him a few times then go away but dont go out of the area

Then go back and hell leave the rod

Then go to south bank villag to start the mini game
