Finnish is my native language. I've studied English for 9 years now. I also have studied Swedish for 5 years. I don't really like that language, but it is necessary to study it here. I have also studied a little Russian and German.
I'd like to learn some Japanese, so I'm going to learn hiragana and katakana, and, if I'm good at it, then some kanjis. And of course to speak Japanese
I think celtic languages are fascinating. I'm really interested to learn some of them someday ^^
I'm English and so my first language is...English. I studied French, Latina nd Chinese at school but remember very little of any of them; I'm currently studying Japanese at university and with any luck should be moving over there next year to brush up on my language skills.
Arabic is my native language Though, I studied English my whole life so far now >_> I'm thinking of learning Japanese and other languages when I'm free of school.
Well, I'm Norwegian so Norwegian (I know it's not foreign for me but it is for most of you guuuys xD)(Oh, and that also means Swedish and Danish, thy're like 80% alike, so we understand each other completely lol, Scandinavian if you like )
I speak English and German fluently and i know some words in French, Italian, Spanish, Turkish and Japanese.
And I would love learning Japanese.
My goal in life you can say ^^ x)
I only speak English and the odd French word, so Im nackered if I go to another country. But Im doing my best to learn Japanese and Chinese! And Ive been told they can be the most difficult, but Im determined to learn them as I want to visit those 2 amazing countries.
Yes, as a native English speaker who does not have experience speaking other languages, Chinese is especially difficult what with the tones and whatnot. I mean...one word can totally mean like a hundred different things, some good, some...bad. xD
I swear to God I've answered this question...several times D:
Anyways, I'd say I'm pretty fluent in German since I learnt 5 years of it, it's an awful language to be quite honest, and since only German's speak it and haveing no intention of going there, there's little point of me knowing it.
French, I did a year of it and know very little. Just the odd word and phrase. Spanish is sort of inbetween German and French, I know a lot more than I do French, but not enough to have a conversation like in German.
I can sing in Japanese in the form of Utada's songs, I have no idea what she's saying, I can just sing it. 8D
I have a hard enough time with English so no, Im not fluent in anything
Id like to learn, just to annoy people or to get annoying cold callers or telemarketers of my back
I passed french at school, but I was never ever fluent in it, Im not even sure how I managed to get that C tbh...I suck at languages. it never sinks in
Jane (Clementine) has made me want to learn German though xD
