So I've been watching this Freaky Eaters show on Foxtel and some of the things people eat just gross me out!

Some people are eating raw red meat, others are smothering every meal with tartare sauce or syrup.

Anyone here consider themselves a Freaky Eater?

Eating raw red meat isn't that unusual, that is what steak tartare is after all.

To answer your question, no I do not think I am a freaky eater. Nor do other people think I am a freaky eater. I do not eat raw meat and I do not smother anything with sauce.

I do love tartare sauce a whole load but im not a freaky eater. I like food that people might consider disgusting but its nothing weird or unusual.

I watched a show and a small part of it was about a woman who had Mayo with EVERYTHING. She put on her toast, even in her milk with her cereal. She was definitely a right freak because she even rubbed it into her face every day claiming it was a great natural moisturiser. So shed walk around stinking of mayo all the time.

I like mayo as much as the regular person does but shes a headcase.

Raw meat o.e Im sorry but if their not lost in a forest or something like that and can't cook it then I understand even though thats still gross. But they need to be patient and wait for it to get done, cause cooking is all about time.

Ive seen people that eat nothing but fast food, sloppy meals with the food hanging off covered in sauce. Thats just not healthy at all, but thats on them not me.

As for if m a freaky eater or not? no Im far from it, if anything Im very picky about my meals and eat more soup, rice and noodles than anything. You can't exactly cover it with any kind of sauce. And I guess you could ask do I eat my noodles uncooked or something to see if im a freaky eater....lucky for me I dont cause it was nasty when I tried it when i was a kid e.e

This guy was not eating those sort of meals in which the meat is prepared properly for it to be intended to be eaten raw.

He is going to the butcher and buying the cheapest meat that requires a wash and then to be cooked correctly in order for it to be okay to eat. He isn't doing that.
He says he loves the look, the texture and the taste of the raw meat and even though he has gotten a parasite from his addiction he still isn't convinced that he should quit what he's doing.

The lady I saw on the show with the Tartare sauce did the same thing.
Apparently one day she went out to a restaurant and she and her friends brought home leftovers and some Tartare sauce from a friends meal got on hers and from then on she loved it and smothered everything in it, including her cereal that already had milk.

Just to clarify, I'm talking about behaviour that you would consider freaky. Not something like, 'Oh I eat vegemite but my friends think it's gross.' That is not what this thread is about.

I'm talking about actual freaky eating behaviours that you know not everyone would do and would come off as very strange to someone else if you told them about it.

Alot of the people on the show are in the closet about these behaviours.

I saw the episode with the guy that ate the raw meat. It was disturbing. Crazy stuff.

I'm not really a freaky eater. Maybe I'll turn freaky when it comes to rice. Since eating plain makes me feel sick, I'm willing to cover it in pretty much anything. Mayo, ketchup, steak sauce, salad dressing, etc.

That's as weird as I get. :wacky:

I am fussy so I do not eat anything freaky.
I have tried some freaky things like Haggis and Black pudding...I eat a soup called egg and lemon soup... I don't think that is freaky but whenever I tell people i eat it they always go "ew wtfyou'regross" so maybe that is freaky?

My grandpa used to eat raw mincemeat on toast... no wonder he had two heart attacks and a lady at work told me that she once ate a cooked ox penis by accident...thinking it was something else.

I also watched a tv show not long ago about a girl who ate ceramic pots and cigarette ashes. She would wrap up the bits of pottery into some plastic and take it away with her to work or whatever and have it as a snack. Her teeth were rotting away because of it and stuff.

:toni:

I've never known anyone to really be a freaky eater, except a friend of mine back when she was pregnant. She'd have cravings for toothpaste. But then, I just thought that was a bit weird as opposed to being freaky. :hmmm:

When The Big Show was starting out his wrestling career, he was so broke, that he ended up eating Toothpaste sandwiches at home. He talks about it in documentary on his DVD. I'd say that's pretty freaky even though at the time it wasn't by choice. I think he said he still has one every now and then too. :wacky:

It may be weird but i dont think of eating raw meat as extremely weird or anything. I mean i would never ever eat raw chicken for fear of getting very sick and it doesnt taste good but raw beef? I dont find that too strange. I mean ive had some really bloody steaks in my time. A few weeks ago i had the bloodiest steak ive ever had in my life at a bar in the town. I dont think it was far off being raw. Maybe its all the Richard Attenborough documentaries ive seen. Always lots of animals there eating other animals. Blood and meat flying everywhere, who knows. But i dont think of it as weird, just felt the need to say that.

The idea of raw eggs is pretty bogging to me but i dont think of it as freaky because Rocky Balboa had them eeeeveryday before chasing a real chicken.

Also @Squid Toni darling, Haggis is not weird or freaky. Besides you barely tried any :hmph: French fried huggis doesnt count. It was more like black pudding.
Kandy-Sugar the tartar sauce thing is pretty boggin D= Whatever motivated people to put mayo and tartare sauce in their cereal i just dunno. The first time they decided to do that i wonder what they were thinking as they spooned it out into theyre cereal bowl
