I was mean? Sorry if I came across as mean. I like Yuna and Rydia, I really do... I just noted that they are very, very, very unlikely to be in the game. They'll only be in if there is another summon system on top of the one already in place in the game. Otherwise there would be nothing that Rydia and Yuna can do except wack people on the head with their poles... Or use magic, which renders them Terra/Shantotto copies anyway...

So it seems that Yuna and Rydia dreams could be laid to rest, because of the summon system already confirmed for the game.

I do, of course, wish them to add as many secret characters as possible. But I think the 2 secrets, one good, one bad, might be the end of it.
 
I'm glad to see Gabranth, personally my favorite character from XII (and besides Balthier) the only I like from the game. But I'm not here for that.

Apparently on the Dissidia website, there is a secondary display for characters. The thing is, it's in an 8x3 grid (which equal 24 for those who fail at math) which can only mean that there WILL BE a Villain for FFXI and a Hero (which will most likely be Basch) for FFXII.
 
I'm really pleased to see a character from FFXII making an appearance, though I secretly hope for another female character. :P I really liked Gabranth though, so now I'm getting more excited.
 
For anyone concerned about whether Gabranth will be a playable character or just making an appearance... Here are some screenshots (but again, terrible quality) of him in battle.

Gabranth is a good edition but i wish there was a hero from FFXII like Basch.
 
having him in the game would make this that much more exciting. I was wondering when they were going to make a fighting game with final fantasy characters. I first hinted to myself of the idea when playing kingdom hearts and doing the hades challenges where i had to fight cloud and tifa i was thinking wow this would be cool for them to fight each other and not me (since they were whooping my ass at the time) and now my dream has been realized

Basch should really be in this game I mean come on he is one awesome character and is quickenings are pretty cool too. Just give him the tournesol weapon and throw him in the game already!
 
I guess the posibility remains in the form of downloadable content, if there is any... I'd like to see more of the other party members from each series rather than just the main protagonist.. For instance.. Maybe the likes of Auron?? Yuna?? Those sounds pretty okay to me.
